White and Black really need to return. I was incredibly unsatisfied by the Black Knight's cream colored horse in LKC. I swapped it out with a classic black horse and it was way better. -

I'd actually been talking to my wife about Classic Castle sets, and how it surprised me so much looking back at how low the piece counts were for such large sets. They made the most of those large wall pieces, and part of me wishes they brought those back. Don't get me wrong, I love the new techniques they're using, and the textured brick piece is very useful for adding variety, but there's a certain charm to being able to quickly build a castle with just the walls and some hinge bricks. Not sure how that would affect pricing if they were to bring those larger pieces back. Do they still use the BURP pieces in modern sets? I found this article which kinda explains it https://www.murrayplastics.com/blog/see-how-plastic-injection-molding-works-with-legos Why the sky-high price tag? Because of their incredibly precise form, each LEGO plastic injection mold is created with the highest standards and needs to be routinely tested and cleaned by a certified LEGO team to ensure flawless block production. It was pretty recent for me as well to realize molding cost so much. I followed a former Mattel brand manager youtuber who talks about his work on the He-man line, and why the old figures reused so many parts. They were trying to follow in a similar design of reusing as much as they can because molding tools are very pricy. And the price is likely directly associated to the quality of the bricks. Like you can get knock-off 'Lego' bricks made in China, but they could be of various quality, and that is likely due to the plastics and molds they use being cheaper and lower quality. Like, you can probably get a mold for just a few thousand dollars, but it wouldn't be producing Lego quality bricks. -

Ah, that is very true. I hadn't considered a prototype being used here. Makes sense! -

Well it would be cheaper to do digitial model obviously, because making molds costs ~$200,000. Molds are THE most expensive parts in Lego production. The Goat mold would be brand new and first introduced for this set. That's why it'd be quite a difference between whether they actually made this goat, which means they already have a mold in production and this set is very likely to be real; or if it's just a digital mockup where it's still in the concept phase. -
Oh wow, Christmas LOTR advent calendar would be interesting.

Hard to make that judgement right now, too many unknown factors. The picture is so blurry, would we even be able to tell if it's an actual build or just a well made promotional render? A 3d model of a goat would work for that screenshot just fine in that case. Maybe JeanGreyForever could clarify if these were renders or actual molded figures I was hoping for somethwere around $240 like people have said, but I think the animals do throw a bit of a curveball in there. That and Lego being Lego and getting away with pricing in-demand sets and themes higher than normal. -

Even if it's not confirmed, it's pretty solid considering it's being presented in a survey regarding pricing of the set with a mock up build, not in asking whether the concept should be made at all. -

A Tinker would be a neat, like a travelling repairman with a small cart selling pots and pans and other knick-knacks. I'm thinking of using the CMF Carrot dude's sign and adding more produce stalls to make a Farmer's Market. Little stalls for selling fish, baked goods, sausages and cheese, etc. -
Really love the design of the Robot and how it fits into the ship! This fits very well in the Spyrius line

Actually those numbers are fudged because they only count for Streaming, while House of Dragon was on both Cable and Streaming. Total viewership numbers of House of the Dragon would have been higher if Cable/TV wasn't separately counted. That's why there aren't any HBO shows on any of the Streaming lists. That being said, it was still quite impressive for RoP making the top 15 of the list, considering how Netflix-heavy it was.

I'm starting to wonder if there is any actual compatability to the LKC, like areas where this set could be attached to. Not sure if they ever planned that far ahead with the LKC though. It just seems like it'd be a nice throwback feature, like how the Guarded Inn, Blacksmith shop and smaller village-style sets clipped into the larger King's Castle. I figure this will mostly be its own standalone thing though, much like the original Market Village. Also something I heard mentioned, one of the trees in the back is using the new Fern piece seen in the Rivendell set. It uses them upside down to make a spruce-like tree. -
The Blacktron II Star Striker is the next evolution of the Supernova (Star Rider) space fighters. Packed with lasers, detachable rockets and a portable Scout ship, the Blacktron's forces are ready to strike at their enemies from the shadows.

The odd thing is the Lion Knight legs are cheaper than plain color legs on PAB. 60c vs 73c per piece
-
The unreliability of the PAB sold-out is really frustrating. It's changed my cart so many times I'm unsure what is and isn't missing. I think they should keep a grayed out version in your cart, or place it in backorder and notify you or something; not just remove it indiscriminantly. I almost placed an order once until I double checked and noticed the Lion Knight legs were all missing from my order. What the heck would I do with a dozen torsos and no legs?!
-
Kudos to those who've seen and known about it for not saying a word. I think this has been kept as a nice surprise, even in the face of all the rumors that had been floating around about it. I don't think much was known about this internally being shown to certain people, as far back as Sept last year, at least.

The new Ferns from Rivendell look amazing. Really happy to see these new pieces! -
Totaly understand. I didn't think it to be true, just wanted to humor the irony in the thought. I kinda think the opposite, where Lego's marketting might be using the GWP as a gateway to get LOTR enthusiasts and collectors to branch out and collect the other LOTR Brickheadz.
-
Not really trying to be mean, but it'd be quite funny to me if the Gollum GWP was a direct result of the LOTR Brickhead sales made in support more LOTR in general :P
-
Holy crap! It's $669 CAD! That's well beyond the normal currency conversion rate between US and CA sets. I wonder if this has to do with the size affecting their internal storage/shipping costs.

Well sucks that some of those leaks are all gone. I saw someone who did a pretty decent list of all the things they see in the set, all the minifigs and animals and buildings etc. Wish I'd saved that but I wasn't home all weekend, and they were all gone by the time I got back. The original MMV came out when I was well into my Dark Ages. Looking back, I still don't really have any interest in that set. I can see why people like it though. It's a neat civilian set, and we didn't really get those often. That being said, after getting the Lion Knight's Castle and having some animals in it, I've gotten a new interest in getting more. I even picked up an after-market GWP Funky Fun pack just for the pigs. This set looks like a great compliment to the Lion Knight's Castle, and having a goat is always a plus. I really wonder what the scale of this would be next to the LKC. -
Oof, I keep forgetting $500 was the estimated US pricing. For the longest while I kept thinking this set was going to be Lion Knights Castle priced. $620 is a bit steep...

Looks like most of the leaked images were taken off Instagram. I don't usually follow leaks there so I'm not sure if this normally happens.
