  1. The more i look at the challenger, the more i dislike the black hood/bonnet. I think it would of looked better if it was all in purple, even though inaccurate to the source image
  2. I could only imagine that the instructions in the set found would have images of all the new sets... so close but so far....
  3. Yes finally a picture from speed champions! Definitely not the set for me but the purple is a nice colour. Looking through the blurryness, what are the wheels on the challenger? They look like dish pieces but those wouldn’t fit on regular speed champion wheels... new wheel and tire design?
  4. Do people think that LEGO is running out of ideas for this theme? Yes there are so many more monuments they could do but maybe there is the issue of a set not selling in particular regions. For example, the Trafalgar Square set sold terrible here in Australia, I think it was 40-50% off at one point.
  5. First real “leaked” image of something from the 2H21 speed champions sets, a corvette driver. Looks cool I guess, but the main takeaway is the use of yellowish orange, probably confirming the car (C8r) is that colour, not that surprising i know Bring on more 2021 speed champion images!
  6. Yes! I was also assuming this would happen but I can’t see another Lamborghini two pack happening for it to be in this years line up, maybe in the future though as a single car
  7. Doubt this as the f8 tributo was released, would be too similar
  8. I doubt it would be a set on one the same manufacturers that are to appear lineup so maybe it could e a different brand we have haven’t seen yet in speed champions, i.e Aston Martin. I would be guessing an F1 set as we haven’t really got those but I’ve said it before and will say it again, I would much rather have actual “cars” then F1 cars, but I guess it would be good for all the F1 fans out there. A cool idea could be then new Aston Martin formula 1 car paired with the new safety car as well, although I don’t know if that warrants the high price tag
  9. Just seen in this: https://www.newelementary.com/2021/03/lego-new-parts-10283-nasa-space-shuttle-discovery.html#more review of the new space shuttle that there is a bunch of 2x6 tiles introduced in the set. Those pieces are extremely helpful for roofs on the windshield pieces
  10. Na I will probably keep the sticked headlights because it would be impossible to build accurate brick-built ones I’d assume
  11. It actually wasn’t too difficult. I spent most of the time working on the rear of the car (https://ibb.co/JQpx2DR), which is not perfect but I’m happy with it. The front went together the fastest actually and I’m happy how I managed to angle down the bonnet slightly as well. Not sure yet, might convert the Bugatti Chiron to 8 studs wide, but I will probably change it up a lot from the original set.
  12. Thanks very much! I am hoping I can get some more feedback from other people as well
  13. Hey guys, I have just finished my first ever speed champions Moc, a Mclaren Speedtail!
  14. Hi everyone, I thought I’d share my first ever speed champion based Moc which is a Mclaren Speedtail. Massive fan of speed champions and I hadn’t considered making my own models but the wait for new sets is taking forever, so I decided to build my own! I chose to do the Speedtail because I think it’s very unique and will pair nicely with the upcoming elva. It has taken me about 2 weeks from planning to completion which is pretty good as that included the wait of 3 bricklink orders. For the colour choice I went with dark blue because a bright colour wouldn’t really suit the model, and I am happy with how it looks currently. I can’t seem to add any more pictures so I would appreciate some help on how I could add more. *don’t know why ones duplicated everytime I try and delete it, it comes back Looking forward to what everyone thinks! image of the back: https://ibb.co/JQpx2DR
  15. That’s true too. In other speculation, i thought of a cool idea for a speed champion polybag: something like an accessory pack. It could include a bunch of rim packets, (maybe some in gold) and other car accessories like spoilers and different wheel colours etc.
  16. Yeah I agree, although the last new rims were in the Mclaren 720s from 2017. Interestingly, I think it is safe to say that the second set of rims in that set were clearly trying to represent the ones on the Mclaren F1, so maybe we could see that as a future set?
  17. Does anyone think we will be getting any new rim designs for some of the sets like the supra or elva? Both of these cars seem to be fitted with two tone diamond cut wheels so it would be cool if LEGO could get the black rims and print chrome/silver onto them? Would be pretty awesome but I doubt LEGO would do that
  18. Very nice although i meant the black tile that goes on top. How would that connect?
  19. Thanks for that - will look into this soon, as right now I don’t have those pieces Interesting idea, however how will the black tile connect?
  20. Hi everyone, I am working on a moc (speed champion scaled vehicle) and I have run into an issue. I would like to attach the black tile to the structure so there is no gap between them. I have tried a few things but they ended up being illegal or left a gap. Hopefully some is able to help as I am getting a little frustrated haha here is a picture: https://ibb.co/ZWNjXxx
  21. Would be cool if we could get someone to make a poll or two; one with the question “Do you prefer 6 studs or 8 studs” and a second question of “What do you prefer to do with your cars,” e.i, display them, use the in a city etc. I’m am personally surprised that the width of the cars is still being bought up, because let’s face it, the cars are never going to be perfectly Minifigure scale anyway.
  22. LEGO seems to be focusing more on the skyline sets than the landmark sets for some reason. I always look back to last year and am shocked that architecture only got 3 sets when there is just so much potential in the theme. And I think rereleases are the last thing LEGO Architecture needs
