    Hi everyone, So I’ve been thinking and have decided to create a new topic for everyone’s 8 wide Speed Champion Mocs! This is because I find it a bit annoying to create a new topic for every Moc, so hopefully people here will be happy to contribute in terms of submitting your own Mocs or to just share your thoughts everyone’s builds. I am currently working on a Bugatti Chiron in 8 wide so I’ll post that here soon. If anyone wants to start this thread off by posting some pictures, please go ahead and hopefully this can become a permanent topic!

    Hi guys, so I have been thinking about converting the 6 wide Chiron to 8 studs although I want to do it in a different colour scheme. Now I can’t do it in the proper colours like the technic set as dark azure wheel fenders do not exist. I of course want to have it in dual tone colours, so I was thinking half white and half dark blue however another one of my mocs is dark blue so I’m not sure. Curious to hear some ideas.

    I have to say that LEGO has been pretty good in terms of not leaking this new wave, obviously excluding the Dodge set which still surprises me how it got out so early. Would be awesome if they decided to reveal one set a day or something, maybe on the manufacturer’s social pages rather than have them leaked/revealed all at once but maybe that’s just me

    I’m confident that every set will release in June EXCEPT for the mystery “Ford” set which will be August.

    I just finished building my first ever architecture set last week, (the Dubai skyline). This allowed me to get a better understanding of the theme and I think that the idea is fantastic as it has the ability to reach a variety of audiences, LEGO fans, or not. I’ve come to realise that the ideas of subject matter are slowly running out though. By doing a quick google search of famous landmarks shows most being religious related or being done before within the theme. This could be why the theme sees so little sets each year, (and maybe none this year). There are still some places that LEGO could replicate as skylines (Rome, Singapore) and a few landmarks as well (pyramids, Petra), but wow is it actually hard to find globally known landmarks that LEGO would consider doing. Have to agree, a very annoying boundary that I doubt LEGO will ever cross - a huge shame.

    This leaked image that we are talking about is probably the same prelim image that PromoBricks had access to a last month or two ago when they provided the set details. Also, I’m assuming that the mystery set was either just not in the catalog or is going to be a later release (August)?

Can’t tell if it’s a new windshield or not Supra: Does not really look like one, the pic honestly looks 6 wide but it’s probably not Elva: Standout for me, looks fantastic I know these are prelim images so the official sets will have changes Also, no sign of the mystery set with supposedly a Ford GT & bronco

    Wow I’ve got some interesting news! The Harry Potter sets leaked on Amazon so upon checking Amazon Australia, there are 3 seperate listing for confidential “IP cars.” No pics yet but we must be extremely close! Also, the sets are listed at $29.99 AUD, which is the same RRP as last year. I find this interesting as here in Australia at least, sets with an RRP of $29.99 went up to $32.99 from the beginning of this year. So hopefully no price rise for us, (not sure about other countries). Sooo closeeee!

    To keep the hype alive haha what do people think about the next wave of speed champions in terms of when they will come out? Is the push back to June this year going to affect future waves or does everyone think we’ll see another wave in January 2022? (assuming the theme continues )

    Just checked and have found it aswell, however I think an unpainted version of this piece does not work for speed champion cars as it lacks the A-pillars and roof. If it came printed in different colours like white, orange etc (like the red print in the f8) it would be more handy indeed. So I hope it’s doesn’t come in the new sets as I’d much rather want it printed. This version may be used in other non speed champion sets, cool find though

    Just thinking about it, with the Jesko supposedly coming out - I’m surprised LEGO got the koenigsegg licence. It has to be the most “premium” brand LEGO has partnered with? Looking forward to seeing it nonetheless!

    If that rumour is true and the mystery set is the Ford double pack, it would mean that the 3 big sets of 2 packs in the wave are all american car brands. Surprised and slightly disappointed that there are no Porsche, Ferrari or Lamborghini in this wave

    I just checked all the 2020 speed champions set instructions and none of them have pictures of the other sets at the back. So unfortunately we might have to wait a bit longer for more images

    Someone was able to buy the Dodge set and this video shows some built images of it. Still don’t understand the wheel/tire situation...

    Ok was not expecting this. Definitely another weird combination if true, although The Ford Gt is an awesome looking car so would definitely buy it. The bronco SUV is something I haven’t really paid attention to, and I think it makes it a bad choice for the set IMO, wouldn’t liked maybe the mustang mach 1 or some sort of old Ford instead.

    The sets should be out June and the Dodge set will most likely cost the same as the Lamborghini set from last year.
