This is UCS : Do you remember that classic scene with Han Solo chasing the Joker on Tatooine? No, thought not Take a look at the flippin' box and maybe you'll understand

That is your perception. It does not jive with reality UCS is a classification only, made up by TLG to use on products they see fit Heck, the words are : Ultimate Collector Series, that says nothing about how they're build you know If you like to swoosh around the 10026 (which is vastly _less_ advanced, building wise than the new Sandcrawler) instead of displaying it you can. It does not make it a non UCS set all of a sudden

Well, the owner of Octan was trying to kraggle up the entire universe! That's a wee bit worse than a bunch of seals with some oily spots Don't see TLG cutting ties with Octan anytime soon Greenpeace owns loads of vehicles, boats etc that are powered by dead dinosaours. Buildings are probably heated with that stuff too. And the electricity they consume and and ... How about they started in their own backyard?

Yes It's TLG's naming and you can call pink elephant or whatever, it does not change the fact it's TLG _only_ who decides what is UCS Nowhere is is written that a USC se cannot also be a playset And the UCS moniker was created for one reason only, to sell more sets. It is indeed all about marketing

That's for TLG to decide, not you/us. It's their products and their naming You may not feel the recent UCS offerings are true UCS 'cause they lack a sticker/have minifigs/rubs you the wrong way, but they are in fact UCS, exactly because TLG says so

Ask the russians Anyway, all that stuff (LEGO/oil) is made from dead dinosaurs (yes, I know it's not, don't go all smart on me) but we cannot live without it, at least not right now. Sometime in the future we have electric cars powered by hyperdrives and brickstoys made out of unobtanium Plenty of _other_ fora to discuss political matters. If it actually matters, sigh

Lime is exactly the right colour for Blacktron ... III .. ! Good MOC

Also, be aware there's two distinctive dark reds (and loads of variations in between, sigh). No way to tell what parts you'll get from BL. Looks nice if you're building a house, not so much if you're doing a train (unless it's supposed to look worn and rusty) I read that as if you have stickers you can put over a solidcoloured panel to create a clear window That would be all kinds of awesome

I would not put too much stock in those roles asigned to the various coloured spacefigs. Yes, it may come straight from the designer, but just look at the sets. There's zero consensus

No entirely true :

Where does electricy come from? Mostly coal powered plants. Not very nice to the enviroment GP are bonkers, they've allways been complete agenda driven. Facts do not matter one bit But they need to divert attention from their latest scandal (they lost 3.8mill EUR in fincial speculations, money donated by their members) so I guess targeting LEGO fits There, fixed it for ya

TLG does not do something this unless there's something seriously wrong. It's very costly to alter designs/sets/packaging this late If it doesn't work out well in this application it probably won't work well at all. Major fail in product development/testing, I'd say I would guess we'll never see it again unless redesigned

Nuke it from orbit, only way to be safe! I'd spray some anti rodent whatever on the lot, hose it, take it apart and throw it into the washingmachine in suitable bags. Works wonders for me

Flight using Lego

Would be awesome advertising for TLG if a technical mishap was fixed with LEGO parts on the ISS, like they fixed that stuff on the Apollo (from the Apollo 13 movie) Ok, I'm rambling too, I'll get me coat ...- 157 replies

That's modification of LEGO, if we down that route when do we stop? -

Would it be possible to use the more efficient propeller type? There are several types of pulltback motors. I seem to remember a very tiny one with a good deal of power but I think it's only possible to attach wheels? -

Who are 'we'? Has this been posted before? Do you dispute it? If that's the basic power/weight ratio needed and LEGO parts don't come even near that how come this discussion with LEGO motors is still going? I cannot run 100km/h. It does not matter what fancy shoes Nike comes up with, ain't gonna happen- 157 replies

You don't and you never will. You can make absolutely stellar work in China and you can make crap in Demakr (I know, I work ehre, haha), it ALL depends on what you're willinng to spend on the job And TLG is not going to tell you that Quality have been going down the drain ever since the switch to colourless pellets. Precision is 000,2mm for the brick dimensions but seem to be +/25% for colour variations And this is ONLY due to cost Bad, TLG bad

Buggymotor : 4,6-6,2W mechanical watts, 55gr So you're not gonna hit that 200W/kg with batteries and frame/wings- 157 replies

Nope, it's not gonna work But that doesn't mean I'm not gonna give my very best suggestions anyway Spoilsport? Sure, but then again I have a very intimate relationship with reality Edit : Those of you who are trying to make this work are _clearly_ not into RC planes/choppers or are pilots or have any decent education into basic avionics/physics. Sorry, but that's .. err .. reality. You deal with it How about making something _else_ awsome with LEGO/Technics instead of chasing this phantom? Most of you have much better Technic chops than me anyway- 157 replies
