  1. Come on, that's not expensive. It's just a motor, use it or dump it at BL. You could probably find something more usefull like traintracks
  2. Hmm, if those pics are ciculating without TLG's approval, I'd say those promises means jack Why don't someone just dump them to website/forum that has a lower integrity of EB and be done with it? It's not like TLG are gonna hire the Pinktertons/NSA/Sherlock Holmes to track the leak down This is silly (And for the record, I don't care about the pics, I'm not going to buy any of the sets)
  3. I reckon there are thousands. Just look at the prototype space/castlesets, they're full of them (and I don't have a single of them) What I find interesting is not so much the oddball parts, but 'logical' ones like inverted slopes (why where they never put into production when non-inverted was?) and the early minifig experiments (some of them ended up in CMFs) at a time where a minifig was rather plane I also like ordinary parts in new colours. This is generally a LEGO pet peeve of mine, I'm not so much yearning for new parts, but existing parts in new colours. Those are the parts I use the most (like all the trans parts in green and anti freeze) I find it strange that there never was a need for trans-coloured inverted slopes and 6091s wich is in more than 600 sets in a load of colours, none of them trans? ETA : No monorail parts not known as far as I've been able to find out. I think those patents where actually never produced in real life. But who knows for sure? Cheers, Ole
  4. I don't remember that we allowed you to turn in your LEGO card, did we chaps?
  5. Yeah, I have the same feeling There's just some off about it, not quite LEGO'ish It's marked "FF" on the bottom side as are other of my parts Should be geniune LEGO though
  6. Those machines still need an expensive mold. They got paint and 3D machines as well. Easier, faster and cheaper
  7. Come on, use your google fu. IF there are pics out amongst the plebs, I'm sure you can locate them on some obscure russian website or similar places Good luck And good night (to you too David )
  8. Problem is that TLG's machinery is running fulltime none-stop and logistics is extremely complicated + planned a long time into the future. I doubt that even if you throw real silly money at them you can't get a thousand liftarms in pink or whatever
  9. Poor David Send the man some pics or he won't ever go to sleep
  10. Not sure I understand? Are you paraphrasing a TLG designer vs TLG beancounter conversation?
  11. Adjusted for inflation that's around £77.66 so not cheap even back then Edit : £60 for the yellow castle
  12. Have I showed this one yet (the 2x2 black tile) ? :
  13. Yes, but 2,4GHz RF is MUCH better, probably cheaper and actually flippin' works TLG do not want us to race our cars (especially outside), the XL is giving them enough headaches as it is (yes, that is true) But the crux of the matter, is Technic getting cooler or not? I say not This is cool, actionpacked, looks boss and is fun to PLAY with : This is made of suck : Cheers, Ole
  14. Sure? I thought that version actuallly never hit the market?
  15. Wonderfull There really are some great ideas in those two books
  16. Hold on, that 3677 rumour just grew out of nowhere folks. Step back and calm down. A new LEGO train will come soon enough
  17. CFLs are crap light and not good for the enviroment at all. I find bley to look like a cheap knock-off brand, which is not helped by the poor current colour consistency All my lights are proper colour LEDs, no problem sorting here (but then all my bley have been dumped off at BL now)
  18. Jeebus, that would just jack up the price on that until it's par with the actual switch
  19. 4real? Wicked
  20. IF there's a price difference it must be microscopic. No, it's just TLG being NEW! BETTER! FLASHIER! FOCUSGROUPS! PROBEDROIDS! AFOLS?- WHAT?! Now, vacuum-molded baseplates would not be a bad thing for a thirdparty (*cough* KICKSTARTER *cough*) to try out. It's just one mold and not even an expensive one/expensive/difficult process either. Plastic could surely be sourced and colourmatching TLG these days can't be all that difficult, sigh As several have stated, they'd be okay to pay the NEW! price if the colour palette was much wider So, who's game?
  21. Focusgroups said they looked snappier and TLG thought that AFOLs wouldn't notice. It was part of a general 'colour cleenup' in that troubled period of TLG's history
  22. There are still large stocks of NEW grey parts at BL, that is until I've bought the lot Cheers, Ole
