  1. You know, I'd hazard a fairly reasonable guess that if there is a D2C coming, it certainly isn't going to be coming out until at least May or so. Unless Lego is going nuts about keeping this secretive, I'd assume we would have information about it coming in January or February, or at least a tiny bit more knowledge about what's going on if it were after that. Then again, maybe I'm entirely wrong and we're just in that leak drought time of the year.
  2. Add me to the list of people who would be interested in Luthen's Ship at some point. I haven't been keeping up with Andor (bit burnt out on the miniseries, but I might try it since it's supposed to be good), but that ship looks pretty neat looking, I like the general look of the show, and anything that ties into Rogue One would be neat to get since it may be a while before they return to that. That being said, I suppose at some point Lego will likely return to it, Solo, and the ST.
  3. Counterlist: 1. Clooney: Bat nipples, disco batmobile 7. Everyone else
  4. Apparently, one of the canceled sets, 76979, was called Battle for Rio. Given Lucio's origin of Brazil, I assume he would have been included in that set, which might still come out of Blizzard can pull themselves together and Lego decides to start making sets again. Provided those two things happen, it would be nice to get a Lucio, seeing as he is one of the few characters that really cannot be made using purist parts. On that note, I messaged Lego a while back and asked about the status of their deliberations over Blizzard. They pretty much said the expected thing, but it caught my eye that the representative I spoke to stated that they would announce their decision publicly, meaning we probably will hear something about this again.
  5. CM4SCI seems to have shown an image of a minifigure scale Fortnite Battle Bus on his story from the Walmart app. I guess it is happening, just not in the way Greekbricks made it seem.
  6. This is really wonderfully done, I really love the concept and the execution is flawless. I would probably get this if it were a real set. It also raises the question, "How many dated sets could be redone like this?" A lot of them are just ships which get constantly redone, so it would probably have to be something kind of out of the way, like this, the Endor set, or the old Hoth Sets from 2007, 2009, 2010, etc. Anyways, fantastic design.
  7. Anyone that can make a good looking DVA mech moc with this piece will earn my eternal respect, cause for the life of me, I sure can't.
  8. I don’t know, there are some stinkers in there, but there have also been some knock your socks off level D2Cs—look at the Ninjago City ones, the first two Harry Potter ones, Razor Crest, Cantina, the castle, AT AT, modulars, Monkie Kid (I believe many of themes are exclusive D2Cs, but I’m not sure) etc. You may have a point though, it’s probably not a great idea to get our yearnings get ahead of realism.
  9. Okay, fair enough, but that’s not entirely my point. I’m just using mech to refer to a Lego buildable figure in this instance.
  10. Personally, I'm not much of a comics fan (although I am highly open to getting more large scale comic sets like the Bugle), so perhaps I'm biased against it, but I don't think I would. I feel like most mechs really do not need to be that big (other than an Ant Man, but that's just me probably), even something as well known as a hulkbuster. The only reason it might work would be like a one-off from a mech-based franchise like Pacific Rim or something?
  11. Yeah, I would buy this 100%. Considering how kind of out of the ordinary last year was, and how weird this year has been, I think they definitely are screwing around to see what works. In that regard, I really doubt we would see the results of this for a while, which might mean a bit of a delay on the inevitable D2C Avengers tower, which I do believe will come, but it may take a bit.
  12. So according to JJP, the Fortnite set is not real. Hmmm, this makes some sense, Greekbricks has been a little on the suspicious side for a while...
  13. I'm not entirely sure about that. Given that the theme ended nearly 10 years ago, I don't think it is entirely fair to say that they would not do remakes of old sets, especially considering the aftermarket prices. Sure, if it is only one D2C, they might choose something they haven't done before, but I really doubt it would be just one set and then they call it done.
  14. So I'm sure that only like 10 people still care about this set, but someone amazing on Reddit posted the instructions and parts list to the Titan, and I figured I'd link it here since I had not seen it before this: Also, I was thinking: assuming Microsoft cans the people who deserve to be canned, maybe there is a chance Lego releases this when PVE gets added into OW2, and assuming it does successfully? I still believe this might come, but it sure won't be soon, especially considering that most of the copies were apparently set for destruction.
  15. I'm like 70% sure that Mei's head was used in the foosball table, which would actually be a pretty good way of making her. I can't quite tell, does anyone else think so?
  16. Alright, hopefully this is the last time I say this: place your final bets now, everyone!
  17. I’m actually gonna hard disagree with you here—if any theme would work well with micro scale, it’s LotR. Harry Potter did it well with Hogwarts, but I don’t think anything else in that world would be particularly good for that, whereas in LotR, almost nothing other than Bag End can be truly Minifigure scale. I can understand not wanting them, and I would personally prefer Minifigure scale, but given how well Hogwarts has supposedly done, I wouldn’t be surprised if we got it. On that note, even though I would prefer Minifigure scale, I would honestly probably get a micro scale Minas Tirith or Barad-Dur if those were the only ones we got.
  18. I would honestly disagree on the old minifigs. I have several of them, and while their beards are accurate, I don't think they really captured the character's expressions very well. Some of them do look rather good (Gandalf, Saruman, Thorin's company, Mouth of Sauron), but I would say the Fellowship's heads are among the weaker of them.
  19. So....Overwatch 2 is out in a couple days....and we still have no knowledge of more gaming sets. I suppose with the partnership being paused, that makes sense, but I assume we will hear more relatively soon (and by that I mean next couple months).
  20. Yeah, I probably would not get that either, but of all themes, LotR is probably the most focused on "items," and it would work better than most of the other current licensed themes. I don't know about that Balrog set. It would of course be cool, but I don't think it could probably go for more than 150$ unless there are a ton of rock pieces. I was sort of thinking that a Minas Tirith in the scale of the 2019 Hogwarts set would be possible actually, or something else microscale. I would of course prefer minifig scale, but I would probably still get that. Then again, other than an icons collection, I would be interested in most D2Cs for the theme.
  21. No, I doubt you are. I would assume it'll probably come in the first couple waves, possibly as a D2C--the first HP reboot sets were mostly remakes, or at least similar to the old ones. Even though I have the old one and expansion, I would 100% be interested in getting an updated one, which I pretty rarely do. In addition, Bag End and Minas Tirith are probably coming relatively around the time it does. Barad Dur and Orthanc are almost certainly on the table, and maybe something based off of the Hobbit, but in terms of flagship sets or D2Cs, I would bet 15$ we see those three relatively soon.
  22. Should we merge the two LotR topics?
  23. Well, I picked the perfect time to rewatch the trilogy. Super thrilled by this, LotR sets are on the top of my wishlist, so I am pretty solidly planning on getting these, even if they aren't minifig scaled.
  24. No kidding. I wasn't planning on getting this, but now, I must say, I'm a tad curious about it. I need interior shots, but it definitely looks good.
  25. I'd say that's pretty much a guarantee amigo, considering neither Miles nor Morbius are in the MCU
