I thought that Sanctum was originally coming in May or June, and the 500$ set was probably in September or October.

Did Promobricks actively confirm the AT TE as based off of AotC, or was that just speculation? Cause there’s still a possibility of it being Bad Batch if it’s not, correct?

Interestingly enough, the old Shrieking Shack had an infamous function very similar to this that I think was called like the transfiguration shed. IIRC it wasn’t supposed to have worked very well, but it turned Sirius into the dog and Pettigrew into a rat. It would be a really fun callback to do something like that for the new one, provided it worked.

This is extremely pedantic, but it should be noted that the first gunship and AT TE did not, in fact, come out in the same year—the gunship came in 2002, and the AT TE came out in 2003, so even though it’s close, that kind of is another count against the pattern.

And I don’t think even Promobricks knows what the D2C is, right? Imagine if it were Secrets of Dumbledore based…that would be hilarious if the only one we got were like 470$, there would be rioting in the streets. Of course, that won’t happen unless Lego decided to do an extreme amount of trolling.

I mean I said it a bit back, but I still think there’s absolutely no way they do an OotP based Ministry sans Belatrix. Maybe that’s the mystery figure, but it really would be weird not to have her, especially considering it’s her first time interacting with the trio and she’s kind of the central figure.

Honestly, I think the biggest piece of evidence regarding the MoM being based on DH is the lack of Belatrix Lestrange. I mean like even during the time when it had been years since I had read HP, the main thing I connected with that scene would have been her, she’s almost the central figure there.

Now, a lot of brick built creatures like like *^~#, but I was sort of looking back at the Jurassic Park rexys, and I think there’s a possibility for this to actually be really good. I’m hoping it’s not entirely locked down to a stand, more like a free moving thing, but it doesn’t really sound that way from what Promobricks described. Still could be interesting though.

Other than the one or two things they did for the 40th anniversary of Empire Strikes Back, weren’t both of those anniversaries of themes?

You know, almost every time I bet against something on EB it ends up wrong for me, and yet here I go again: I’m making the guess that the $530 set is not a Geonosian Arena. As everyone else has mentioned, they probably wouldn’t do a PT UCS set this quickly after the last one, but more importantly (dammit it almost autocorrected to “imposter” here) it just wouldn’t translate as easily to a massive and expensive display model. I think they could theoretically do half of the arena at that price, but I don’t know if many people in that market would want a half building (although maybe I’m wrong there). The question of creature molding would also come up, so I kind of have to ask, have there been multiple giant new molds in a UCS set before? They could be brick built, but I doubt that would make many AFOLs/people who buy UCS sets happy. I also don’t know if there even have been Minifigure scale sets at that price before, and I doubt Lego would start with making one based off of AotC of all of the SW movies, regardless of the anniversary. I think if they do cover the arena battle, they’ll do it over like a 100$ build with brick built creatures but with molded heads, kind of like how Harry Potter has handled it, with an arena wall or two.

Did anyone other than Fulcrum confirm it to be a Marvel set?

I think Promobricks just said that the BD mold will be used for only the second set in the summer. I don’t normally want to just take random asides by leakers as absolute fact, but I guess this means no Fallen Order sets for now? At least none with BD-1.

Hmmm. I haven’t posted my thoughts on this yet, so no better time than now. The idea of a bigger AT TE at a reasonable ppp sounds great, if it looks good I’m definitely buying it. I’m really hoping maybe they’ll actually manage to give it posable legs, the last few have lacked that. I’ve also been waiting for a version of Obi Wan’s starfighter for a while now, which could be excellent. I’ve never played Fallen Order, but I’m sure the droid will be adorable. I also don’t have a huge investment in Cad Bane, but if I can find the ship on a discount I’d be kind of curious. I’m unironically really interested in what they’ll do for the 4+ AT ST, could be fascinating. That being said, I’m also starting to get concerned about Lego maybe planting false leads, although that may be just the weird conspiracy theorist side of me acting up.

I think Lego may be going after this one. The leaks hashtag was down for violating community content for a bit, and I can’t seem to find Lego club news or lego flub news at all. Then again, maybe I’m just not very Insta savvy.

And so we have entered the stage where we declare the film overrated. I’m not commenting on it for fear of being struck down by the mods, but I think NWH sets would do pretty well regardless of when they come out. I mean the Infinity Saga ones have, and it had been more than like two years since Endgame came out.

It’s been posted on Ig at least twice by now. I don’t think this would have gone unnoticed of, and I’m not entirely convinced that it is correct either.
