  1. Yeah, I think you may be right here, I hadn’t considered that but that seems like it could be possible. I’d personally love to see a more diorama or +18 take on the theme, I can’t imagine that happening. In fact, I feel like best case scenario is that they just put out the last couple sets and kill the theme off for good, and there’s a lot that would have to happen to even get to that.
  2. That’s my point too. They haven’t been revealed yet. It’s not that strange that they haven’t revealed it yet, there’s a massive degree in variance in how long before release sets are revealed—sometimes it’s one week, sometimes it’s months. This isn’t particularly unusual. There’s no consistency or pattern to look at here, but it’ll surely be a big deal when it’s revealed.
  3. I mean...there is zero fanfare and explanation because the sets have not been revealed yet. We have no real idea as to why the Temple got canceled, and Lego will make a big deal about this when they reveal it--we've gotten a teaser already, so it isn't unreasonable to expect that. As for the sets getting put out, that certainly isn't limited to Indy.
  4. Yeah, you may have a point there. The sets were kind of <insert that tiresome argument>, which was a little odd since I cannot imagine a lot of 6-8 year olds being too interested in the property, and the fact is, the game is just less popular now. I think that if the PVE is good, it could potentially revitalize the game, and it certainly still has a pretty big playerbase, but it may not have the same reach it used to.
  5. Any of you seen the function for the boulder on Echo’s story? That is quite a lot more complex than I was expecting, it’s actually pretty neat.
  6. Yeah, and I was intending to use it for a custom for that, but he doesn't wear glasses in that movie....looks like I'll have to settle for the Count Dooku head.
  7. So, potentially good news for those of us who want OW to return and to be able to buy stuff from Blizzard without supporting scumbags, the Microsoft buyout is looking a little more likely again. Apparently it seems to be going through in the EU, which I suppose makes it a little more possible that it'll go through in America as well.
  8. Hardcore agree. AotC has always been the only PT film I liked (I was young), but there is not a chance I would get a 650$ Geonosis Arena.
  9. I don't believe that this is all correct. Rivendell was not one of the survey sets, it just happened to leak around the same time. Also, I think it's pretty debatable as to whether or not the Sail Barge was complete or not, based off of the image we got. In addition, Promobricks said that it was reasonably possible that it could come this year, and the apparent price seems fairly in line with what we know about it. The main strike against is that the rumored piece count is pretty far off from the 650$ D2C, so while I would not bet on it, it is not entirely fair to say that it is guaranteed to not be the 2HY D2C.
  10. Right, but like...why would they announce that? What is there to stop them from just changing the price on their own?
  11. I mean....what motive could they have to try to sabotage a set?
  12. So, uhhh...anyone seen Brick Clicker's story? I don't know if he's referring to Marvel or DC, but depending how the poll goes, we may get information on this sooner rather than later.
  13. Alrighty then, this is shaping up to be weird as hell. First of all, Yavin 4, cool. Depending on how it looks, I might get it, but preferably at discount. I like minifigs, but they don't justify that PPP ratio for me. Second of all, mechs--they must be selling well in Marvel, but honestly, I'll live. I won't get them, but Vader should be accessible to kids. Swamp Speeder--this actually could be interesting (not a huge PT fan, but like Clones). I quite like Star Corps and 41st, and they are usually associated with that speeder, so if they get updated I'll be happy. Buildable Chewbacca is weird, not interested in that, but might be funny looking as kind of a Star Wars "kitsch" thing. Lastly, that D2C PPP is horrible, that is gonna need a lot of justification to be even remotely worth it.
  14. I also feel like this looks weirdly small. I really feel like at the max this looks like a 700 piece set, maybe even down to 5 or 6 hundred. I just cannot figure out where the budget to this set went, although maybe the pictures just make it look a lot smaller than it actually is.
  15. To be honest, I don't think that the Bowie is that good actually. In fact, I would say it is actually a pretty mediocre build, unfortunately, and I was at the very least a little bit interested in it. I like minifigures, but to me, they rarely make or break a set--at least sets over $50. It really looks quite small and undersized, I doubt it can even fit all the Guardians inside unless literally the whole thing we cannot see is empty space. I would guess at most it has two seats and maybe a place to leave a figure standing. With that said, I've gotta say, this really is not that far off from the older waves of GotG sets. We have an underwhelming flagship based off of their transport, and two smaller ones that are clearly just filler, not to mention the fact that most of them are wearing some weird or specific suit (with Vol 1, it was the Ravager outfits, with Vol 2, it was the jetpacks).
  16. Okay I am not disappointed in you. To be honest, yeah, I would quite like some more Ant Man themed minifigures too, I am more referring to the fact that there seems to be unfortunately more desire for Modok or Kang than the main group.
  17. I mean...when you look at these comments, most of them did not want them for Ant Man... I guess that's kind of what happened with the movie too, unfortunately. As a huge Ant Man fan, I am very disappointed in all of you.
  18. Yeah, that 2019 is close, although I think it may need a different cockpit. In any case, psyched to be getting more Keaton Batman sets as a huge fan of those, but I must say, I'm a little sad nothing for Catwoman or Penguin. With that said, they may come in the other two sets or polybag, so I won't give up hope just yet. By the way, does anyone think that last 100$ set with 700 pieces might be a Batcave? It seems about the right price range and piece count, although it may have been clarified to just be Marvel.
  19. Soooo…..I take it I’m the only who’s actually hyped for this?
  20. I don't think we've quite internalized how massive this guy is gonna be. The dimensions on the website state that it is H: 16" (39cm), W: 30" (75cm), and D: 20" (50cm). Now, obviously that depth does have a fair bit of space in it since it's the back of the main structure to the front of the gazebo area, but still, that's enormous. I legitimately do not have a shelf that can fit this. And as a reference point, I believe the old Helm's Deep (sans extension) is about 20" long. That's the depth of the set, and the width is another half as long.
  21. It's a typo, JediJacPenguin says it's from 1992, so we don't have to worry about something bizarre
  22. Apparently we’re getting some sort of polybag based off of Batman Returns? I’m honestly really excited, I quite liked that one. It appears to have several pieces, so it might just be a micro build, and if it’s a figure, it’ll probably be Batman or Penguin, but personally, I’d quite like a Catwoman.
  23. I believe those are the Tina Goldstein and Han Solo (from Solo) headpieces, although those may not have been the original uses.
  24. So, the set is amazing, I love it. Fantastic design, fantastic minifigures, really great everything. I don't know if I'll get it, but if I get any set soon, it'll be this one. I was looking at the figures, and I wanted to ask, is that one of the Weasley twins' heads on Merry? It works, sort of, but I wanted to double check. Also, I was looking at Brickset's review for the old Council of Elrond, and I noticed that they had the Eye of Sauron under the function to launch Gimli. Do any of you think that the eye under the pavilion is a reference to that set?
  25. I believe this came from legen.dleaks. This is an odd case--the guy only has like 3 or 4 things to his name, but all of them have been right or independently verified by established leakers. I think right now, we like the guy, but we apply a tad bit of salt to everything he says.
