  1. Where would be a good place to do this? If it's a moc from a licensed theme, would you do it in that section?
  2. They might still. I think it took Lego two whole years to reboot the HP them when Fantastic Beasts came out, and even then, the first wave was pretty clearly just testing the water. Now, it's in lego's highest selling themes and surely here to stay. Maybe they'll do the same with LotR? I do hope that if they did reboot it, they didn't just focus on the two trilogies and the show, largely because I don't think that's sustainable. I know there are other themes with around that many films, but I get the feeling that unless they expand a fair bit into less popular stuff, this theme would start repeating immediately.
  3. I'll be honest, I'm not a huge Indiana Jones fan, but if they ever do a diorama styled temple escape, I would 100% buy that.
  4. What about the possibility that the Hulkbuster is delayed (which FF suggested on IG) and the $500 set is a wild card?
  5. Does anyone know if the Null Sector Titan instructions are available anywhere?
  6. Speaking of the advent calendar, does anyone know what Drax's skin tone is?
  7. MinisuperHeroes apparently got a set that hasn’t been revealed along with a Black Panther set—maybe it’s something else though.
  8. Yeah, I’d be very inclined to agree—forget anything the people over in the SW threads say, this would be Lego’s biggest licensed blunder in recent years, possibly the last two decades. I doubt we’ll have to wait too much longer, apparently the set has gone out to LAN people already.
  9. Honestly, I'm starting to get the vibe that no one except Lego actually knows what it is--Brick Clicker has given us the most info so far, and even he's been pretty vague and made it pretty clear that he doesn't know. I trust the leakers, but I also can't help but feel like we have not gotten the full picture.
  10. I don’t know, the Marvel cost is bad, but it’s never really that bad—I mean, the bugle got a price hike, but it still has an amazing PPP value, especially considering Minifigures. On the other hand, if it had powered up functions, you’re right, that would be quite a price increase.
  11. I don’t think we have any evidence it’s not the Milano or Benatar, right? I don’t know, personally speaking, I kind of doubt I’d be interested in that for $500, although I could definitely be an outlier here. Really though, if I had to bet money on anything as of this point, I would probably put it on the Sanctuary 2–it’s really the only thing that fits all the bills.
  12. So they’re not always totally reliable, but one of the guys that maintains the Reddit leak page said that he heard that it ties into an upcoming movie. I wouldn’t put too much stock into it, but it’s worth noting. …I’m probably the only one that would get an ant man play set that size, right?
  13. I kind of doubt any of these other than the sanctuary 2 would be made, but if I'm wrong, I want you to shove this in my face. The sanctuary 2 did show up in JJP's story, which could be the hint he was talking about, but that seems a little strange as the largest marvel set of all time. Personally, if not the quinjet, I would guess the milano, seeing as how well the guardians movies have been recieved, but I just cannot be sure at this point.
  14. I don't think our guesses are in the right mindset: it seems to be either an insanely neat sounding set that would be fantastic (AT, X mansion, NWH) or maybe the worst sounding set I've ever heard of. We need to be dreaming medium--at the very least, that's what I've gotten from the hints we have so far. Not great, not terrible, just kind of a mixed bag.
  15. JJP also mentioned that it’s not an icons collection, probably worth relaying that here too. Edit, never mind, Brick Bob already covered this.
  16. Also worth noting that he said that it’s not a UCS Quinjet but that’s the “right idea.”
  17. Can't say they're at the top of my wishlist, but that's largely because most of my SW collection is comprised of them, and there are certainly a couple I would be fairly interested in (Ochi's ship is a major gap). Two more things to adress: I find the PT vs PT era thing a little strange, and it doesn't seem entirely fair to say that we're getting no PT sets when we are getting clones, particularly since that seems to be what is most desired thing online right now. Secondly, getting Vader in a cheaper set is honestly pretty good news for me personally, as I still don't have one newer than 2010. Villains in general are for some reason really quite rare with modern Lego--look at how few sets Vader,Voldemort, Thanos, etc appear in.
  18. I almost never get into political discussion on EB, but this one has been bothering me all day. Consider the following, which I have written in the form of a proof: OJ killed his wife (almost certainly true) Someone who kills their wife is not deserving of respect (true) OJ does not deserve respect (assuming one is true, true) I have the right to disrespect someone who is not deserving of respect (true) OJ is black (true) Calling a black person the N word to insult them is disrespectful (true) Therefore, I have the right to call OJ the N word (ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE) And obviously, the N word is on a fairly different level than misgendering someone, but both are wrong. Insulting some celebrity online will never effect them, but it will certainly effect, or at least bother, the users of the forum who have the same trait. I think it's generally stupid to get caught up making sure we are polite to someone who is quite clearly a criminal, but when you go out of your way to misgender them, you aren't doing anything other than hurting the NB people on here.
  19. You know, I thought I saw someone saying yesterday that the D2C will come out on October 1st, but I couldn’t find the post, and that doesn’t sound really right. Did anyone else see that?
  20. I'm not sold, really. I think what's there is absolutely beautiful (not to mention massive), but I can't help but feel that what's not there has a bigger presence than what is. I might have seriously considered this if it had one or two more cabins, or alternatively a much larger section of the station, and it feels like they tried to do both and it came to a compromise that can't truly be either way. I also rarely criticize large sets for figure selection, but having epilogue figures for Harry and Ginny's family but not Ron and Hermionie's isn't a great setup, seeing as how they really have to complete the scene altogether. All in all, I like it, but I can't overlook its flaws enough to even think about getting it.
  21. I absolutely agree last year had a drop in quality, but I heartily disagree for this one—in fact, I would argue it’s the best wave yet, with the possible exception of 2020. I mean, we’ve gotten three of the most requested sets since the reboot, all done quite well, a vastly updated Horntail, and a couple of mediocre but certainly not terrible Hogwarts—in fact, I quite like the Dumbledore’s office set, it’s a vast improvement over last year’s castle sets. We still haven’t seen the D2C, but if Brick Clicker is right about it being bigger, then there’s a chance it ends up being absolutely fantastic. This advent calendar certainly isn’t amazing, but it’s certainly not fair to judge the whole current theme based off of that.
  22. Man, you gotta be joking, right?
  23. If I’m remembering correctly, didn’t the D2C leak like a year ago tomorrow? Or at least some time around now?
  24. I will forever be betting against an Avengers Tower. It’s just too much of an irregularity for it to make sense—I’m pretty sure there’s never been a theme that has gotten two massive Minifigure scale sets in a year, the Sanctum and a hypothetical tower would probably compete with each other, they pretty recently released one (though that doesn’t disqualify it), and even though it’s iconic, it certainly hasn’t been in many Marvel properties lately. That being said, I also bet against the Daily Bugle, and I was very wrong about that.
  25. I'm torn on the Sanctum. Figures don't really make or break a set for me, but I like these ones enough that it leans me towards it. It also is a really very pretty set from the front and inside, and I'd like to connect it to the Bugle. On the other hand, I have the 2018 version (my first foray into Marvel sets, so I quite like it), but more importantly, how do you make a corner modular with a gap at the back? It just isn't going to look good with the one behind it.
