On his latest video today, fast forward to around time stamp 0:47. He did say "...looks a little bit different..." But yes, hard to tell from the blurry pics. They could have provided a separate hair piece with a long braid. In this case, there would be no tower to drop her hair from... I suppose Disney was thinking that the other minifigs might trip on her long hair on that ballroom floor. LOL Good point! Has Lego ever had a history of selling the same set but in a different box? Perhaps from the City line?

The great hall appears to have a "mural"... I wondered if it were Belle on one side then Beast...

Someone just posted a side by side comparison of the old and new sets on IG. The new set looks much more clean and simplistic from the front. I could go either way, although I like the colors on the new one. The main hall at the back looks bit more expansive on the new set, but it seems all other rooms are a bit tighter. The old one is really cute with all its references to the tales. But the new one seems to focus on having a ball area for the minifigs. It would be sad if we don't get Beast...

I do agree that the facade is the biggest improvement. The walls and pillars at the front appear to be a more 'clean' build. I like the new colors as well. I feel like the interiors are a bit lacking, and suffer the most. The great hall/ entryway is not as grand, and as someone pointed out, could have been improved with just some printed tiles. (Tsk, tsk, Rivendell...). I probably would have preferred if each prince/ princess couple had their own section for a vignette The fireworks looked really good on a previous CNY set. It looked more 'alive' perhaps because of the size proportions. The two fireworks here do not do anything! It actually makes it look like that Disney ran out of money for fireworks! LOL As per Brick Clicker, Tiana is a slightly different print. So technically exclusive minifig, but not an exclusive character. I really, really would like to see Belle and Beast (B&B) this year!!! As much as Gaston has made his appearance, I would point out that Maleficent was by herself for YEARS before we started getting these new minifigs. B&B, as well as Merida, have been on Brickheadz but has so far not appeared in any minifig set. Perhaps that would be the end of it, until Lego decides to make the next CMF years from now, or who knows??? I really really really feel strongly that Lego should have released the Sleeping Beauty castle instead as a limited edition anniversary run this year, then replaced it with this remake. I feel like people who had the previous version would have bought this if it were several years down the road, and with more improvements. As someone pointed out, it seems 80% the same as the last one. Who knows if we will ever see the Sleeping Beauty castle. Sad.

Lego-Disney was off to a good start this year, then a few anti-climactic releases... that non-closing royal shell, now a sparsely-populated castle. LOL Gonna save my money for the Avengers tower. LOL I doubt all those influencers will go as far as that... They are all working very hard to promote sets despite the obvious flaws and disappointments, and just look at that clamshell. I'm hoping for that, too...but... With the way all the Youtube influencers are raving about current sets, you watch and Lego will soon give us a Belle and Beast in mech form. LOL

Does look good! We all got our expectations so high with ‘AT LEAST’ 8 minifigs but it ended up with ‘JUST 8’ minifigs. Oh well…

I was thinking about this more... After the photos of the castle leaked, and we now know that Rapunzel is one of the princesses included, could Disney release the rest of the princesses during this anniversary year??? The ones we are missing are: Wendy - could be in the rumored Peter Pan set??? Beauty (and the Beast) - could they get their own set??? I am really hoping so... Raya Merida - especially considering that she got her own Brickheadz Mirabel

When I saw Snow White included in this castle, my first thought was whether they could still make a variant of her for the Seven Dwarves cottage. …a variant distinguishable enough from this version, but still faithful to the original. Knowing Disney, and looking at the Little Mermaid as an example, they’ll probably base the upcoming cottage out of the remake. Snow White will be based off the live action actress, and there will be no dwarves, and random animals instead. LOL

I’m hoping they get their own set!!! That’s a great idea! Mini-legs with cloth skirt! Lego should make a Princess set where the main ones like Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, etc are in movie-accurate clothing. Cinderella with the light silver puffy gown, Aurora in blue, etc. It could even be the alternate bookend to the Villains set. Lol

A shoo-in for diversity, perhaps? The original leak info mentioned the inclusion of Sleeping Beauty which does not seem to be the case. They probably couldn't think of anyone else to include. Then they would have to make at least Cinderella have that large dress piece, then the other characters that never appeared in a large dress piece would look out of place. The increase in price is all because of that joke? I honestly would have preferred that the set just come with a printed background you could stick in a wall. WickedBrick makes a Disney castle display case with a nice background. Same here. I had been dead-set on getting this set, but now I am wondering if it might just be better to BL just some of the characters???

Why all three? Little mermaid only got one. Brick clicker says there’s going to be a Peter Pan set. What Peter Pan scene can you make out of a $60 set?

This will be a classic, based on a classic. Are you both listening, Lego and Disney? CLASSICS are well-loved.

Really hoping this set sells well enough to get a follow up item on the series.

It appears to be backordered for later in June here in the US. This should convince Lego to make the ‘other half’ of this bookend. Many have suggesting a ‘heroes icons set’. I wouldn’t mind a villains part 2.

The fan blades should be inset of the nacelles. I just realized that Lego has never done a proper jet intake on all of their sets. Although this appears to be the first one with rounded nacelle leading edges.

How about a Winter Cafe or Chocolate/ Candy Shop?

I feel like in a way Friends is cannibalizing other themes.

Like that plane and might consider getting it for a MOC. Both the tail and engine takes are somewhat questionable.

If the Lego mechs were this good, I would start buying them. Great work!

Fantastic build!!! Hope you can put up the instructions one day... would be great to build and house all those retro minifigs!

What time do they ship these items to the stores, if they will be selling them July 1? Mid-June? Third week of June?

Which lighting set would you guys recommend for this set? Are lighting sets usually compatible with acrylic showcases like WickedBrick?
