Curious to see how they do all the rounded acute angles/ cones, especially the front. It could make or break the appearance. Hoping to see the gears retracting as well.

I feel like I'm going crazy - been visiting all those Lego leak sites multiple times a day in the hopes of a Disney castle leak. Ugh. As @DisneyLego mentioned, it would be easier to narrow down if we knew the whole lineup for the castle. I think it is possible the last four may not be princess couples, but some standalone characters. Or anniversary Mickey and friends. In which case, Belle and Beast should have their own set!!! I feel like the main protagonists deserve their own sets? Perhaps main supporting characters like the Sultan from Aladdin, etc. Three sets for another movie and three less for the Disney 100? I feel like Lego should really feature the 100th anniversary left, right, and center. MODULAR!!! Lol What about Main street with a series of modulars? How about a Christmas themed Disney parade or street? They should have also included an Ideas set during this year of celebrations!!!

Not a big fan of the Harry Potter sets and I don't own any. But I'm blown away by the fact that some smaller sets could be combined to form the large castle. I wish Lego did the same thing for the LOTR sets. I'm not complaining that we got a big expensive set - it has been a long time and the build is great. But we could have seen something more grand if it were divided into several more affordable sets that you could later put together.

I actually ordered one complete set of 18 from one of these third parties. It was about USD89/ set a month or so ago. I am regretting not getting two! One set for a framed display and one for a diorama perhaps. I checked back and they're now selling a complete set for over 100!!! Prizes are crazy on eBay as well. I used to buy regularly from a retailer but he was selling it for 99.99 back when I got the 89 deal. They did that god of wealth for the CNY set. Moreover, certain people are actively worshipping him. I do understand that Notre Dame is an active place of worship. But they could possibly just feature vignettes from the film and not outright feature the cathedral.

Do Lego stores sell sealed cases of 36 minifigs?

Hopefully we get all these... so much potential that Lego is missing out on.

When they make the (original) LOTR and Hobbit sets, they split up the Fellowship and the Dwarves across several sets, respectively. It was only in the recent Rivendell that they released the complete lineup together. I, too would prefer them to appear together. Who knows if Disney will allow the dwarves to be made at all in that cottage as that set may likely end up being based off of the upcoming remake.

If the set ends up being on a deep discount, then I will buy it. But most likely, I will just bricklink Triton. Hope so too! If Belle happens to be featured in the castle, then she would likely appear with the prince, instead of Beast??? Maybe... And perhaps Fairy Godmother will be in the Castle, too??? King Triton is unlikely as he is already featured in the non-Disney 100 set. And the designer said that one of Disney's goal with the set and the upcoming moving is to "re-tell" the story. I think if there is a Heroes set/ Protagonists set, I vote for: Beast, Sultan, a Fairy (from Sleeping Beauty)*, one of the Seven Dwarves*. *because those characters are one of several, perhaps we will get more sets completing the rest of their crew? I'm really hoping this is just the beginning. Villains set left us hanging. Lego, we want more characters!!!

Some head shapes remind me of Hello Kitty… hope Lego makes that theme one day. Lol

How long is the lead time for Lego to get (large) sets on to retailers’ shelves? Only two months remaining before July… That castle has gotta leak soon! Nail-biting… lol

I am definitely going to get both sets!!! People were complaining that the printed hair of the Evil Witch looks awkward... now I do agree! I am still scratching my head why they left out Cinderella from the pile of 'memorabilia'. The whole pile looks like it could be a bookend. Wonder if Lego might make the other 'half'. LOL And I still think there should have been 7 minifigs in the Villains set!

Really depends on how Lego feels about Disney sets. Many LOTR headpieces, bigfigs, etc. were one-offs. I’m sure there were several others themes…

Lion king is rumored to get a buildable at some point. I would prefer minifig sets.

So far, it seems that Lego has been shying away from making bespoke moulds for Disney animals- Fantasia hippo, simba, Dumbo etc. Not impossible- like in the case of Eeyore.

Ashnflash posted a recent video discussing his interview with the designer of the Royal Clamshell. There were some interesting points: - The new Little Mermaid set was made with the Adult Strategy in mind (choice of minifig vs minidoll), and there was no such strategy when they made the Frozen castle. (So, finally Lego acknowledges the demand for Disney minifigs!?!?! There is perhaps hope that we will get some more minifig sets in the future, beyond the Disney 100 line.) - The adult strategy in the future might include minidolls as kids today in 10 years time would have grown up with the minidolls. (Well, they wouldn't have if Lego did not introduce those minidolls... but why does Lego keep thinking that minidolls are a better medium for Disney??? Minifig genocide! LOL)

Forgot about Aladdin!!! I do wonder if we will get some castle grounds to go with this castle, given that the piece count is considerably more than the previous one. Also, if the princesses show up in their ball gowns, would all of them have those big skits like the queen of hearts? LOL

The previous castle had references to: - Beauty and the Beast (main hallway with rose and candelabra) - Little Mermaid (supposedly kitchen area) - Fantasia/ Sorcerer's Apprentice (mop room) - Sleeping Beauty (spinning wheel) - Cinderella (hidden slipper) - Rapunzel (chest with hairbrush and lock of hair) - Snow White (apple + mirror) Given these, I wonder which ones they will re-do and which ones they will add/ remove. I do wonder how they plan to recreate that crystal slipper/ shoes on the Cinderella minifig. Well, that upcoming cottage might end up being based upon the live action instead of the classic, just like what they did for The Little Mermaid. (*~*)

I'd prefer he's in his full beast mode. LOL Maybe the castle will have vignettes inside the 'rooms' with each respective princess/ tale. At least that is what I am hoping for. That way, they don't all have to be in a ball gown dancing with their princes.

I hope Lego and Disney finally realize how much classic Disney tales in minifig form are much much wanted. After the first two CMFs, we were mostly locked in to getting only minidolls until the Mickey and Friends line started. Even then, it was all just Mickey, et al.
