It would be interesting then if they sell it under the ‘Disney 100’ branding long after other sets have been discontinued. I really think they should do all the castles eventually. Lol.

I have thought of this as well. I was hoping this castle remake is a Disney 100 set, and on the shelves only temporarily, as much as I want all its minifigs. In the long term, they could (finally) replace it with the Sleeping Beauty Castle, and eventually with Main Street.

There were several posts a week or two back saying that the person who saw the castle set do not remember seeing any Mickey and friends figure included. There's another set 43230 which is about US$100 - perhaps that will contain something substantial, and will have the usual cast in their 100th anniversary costume? __________ So... there's a chance there's more than 12??? LOL

Now I don't feel crazy. LOL!!! Perhaps the last four characters will not be princess + prince pairs. Maybe some fairies? Maybe several supporting characters from Cinderella - since her story has all but been left out of the CMF, the Villains set... Yup, same here - I don't want any more Mickey and Friends, as much as I like Mickey. For the lack of any Disney minifigs, I've been buying the 4+ Mickey and Friends sets the past years just to collect all the minifigs. LOL

Perhaps the Disney 100 CMF series won't be the last. I wonder which ones Disney is saving for that. As much as I like Stitch, none more of him - Lilo next time! LOL There are many animal characters that cannot be easily (or cannot be at all) replicated in minifig form. Simba/ Lion King, Dumbo, Bambi, etc. I cannot imagine them making bespoke moulds each time, just like they did for Eeyore.

I am guessing that Tiana will be there for two reasons: -Perhaps the theme of the castle is Princess + Prince. Sure, the other 'princesses' have their respective princes, too. But not in the same way as Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. (Belle and Beast would have to be included in here, I suppose if this is really the 'theme' for the castle). -Diversity. (Jasmine and Aladdin would then have to be included - they meet the two criteria as well!) I guess they could include Tiana in the non-glitter green dress. If they make her in the blue dress, will there end up being three blue princesses!?!? If Belle and Beast get their own set, I guess they can be excused from appearing from the Castle. Raya, Merida and Rapunzel would have to be featured somehow, somewhere.

So far, it looks as if the Disney 100 lineup is diverse in terms of the types of builds: CMF, kids' set (Up House and celebration train), Art (Animation Icons), Display item (villains), and Creator+/ Icons (upcoming castle). I doubt (but would very very much like the idea that) Lego would dare make a modular (Main Street), or Architecture (skyline - although perhaps Agraba satisfies that). Wouldn't it be nice if the next modular is actually a Disney Main Street? LOL I know it is a really long shot! __________ By that token, wouldn't Raya have to appear somewhere as well? Her hairpiece is quite bespoke. Mirabel's is pretty generic. Belle's will hopefully appear somewhere, later on (although I think the minidolls line has used it before?).

I'm really hoping someone could post some vignettes/ dioramas on Rebrickable showing the Disney CMFs grouped together by fairy tale. I am not keen on displaying them as a Lego collection (Series 1, etc). Otherwise at present, the only way to showcase them by fairy tale is by putting them in a Sannahed frame. (I know someone made some small vignettes on Flickr/ Pinterest some time back).

Someone speculated some time ago that it could possibly be the Cinderella carriage... I guess it ties in with the castle, if so. I'm actually rooting for that, with the inclusion of the fairy godmother. Don't they already have the mould for her hood and trademark ribbon?

Isn't there also a rumored GWP? If true, wonder what that could be and when it might come out?

Another Duos??? Lion King, this time? I'm not really a Brickheadz fan, but I think they're better off making other characters in that style. I could see Lion King working out as buildables but other characters maybe not... I think people are just assuming that there would be an upcoming minifig Peter Pan set based off of the remake since we got a Little Mermaid said based off of its own remake. Rumors have been circulating from way before the Little Mermaid, it seems.

Looking at the list of catalog numbers from Promobricks, were are left with the following items for which we do not have any descriptions, or leaked image: 40613 (microbuild Agrabah) 43213 (?) [134pcs - EUR19.99] 43218 (Anna and Elsa carousel) - minidoll series??? 43222 - Disney castle containing princess + prince minifigs? 43223 - (?) [154pcs - EUR20.99] 43224 - (?) [509pcs EUR52.99] Looking at that list for 43226 (Disney Duos) and 43227 (villains), the latter is three times (3x) the piece count of the former!!! Would anyone have any info regarding which among these are listed under the "princess" (minidolls) series in the inventory? I'm hoping that one of those seven unknowns turn out to be a Peter Pan set, Beauty and the Beast, as well as Alice in Wonderland, all in minifigs, of course!!!

Cogsworth and Lumiere were well-done! I guess for Ursula, the minifig could have competed with the one from the recently revealed royal clamshell. They can only do so many variations. They could have released flotsam and jetsam in one of the existing snake moulds, just printed nicely? LOL For Peter Pan, they could have done Mr. Smee. For Alice, the Mad Hatter, of course.

Looking at these two sets, mostly the villains set more, I have a couple of comments: - The buildable characters seems like a mish-mash of sorts. They could probably have done one set for Lumiere and Cogsworth (with some minifigs), then brick heads for the rest. - The villains set is quite expensive for what we are getting. Do you guys think it has considerably more piece count compared with the buildable characters? Why so expensive for that piece count? The minifigs??? I don't suppose it has playable features??? - There are seven (7) objects and only four (4) minifigs? We are missing one each from: Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, and the Little Mermaid. One could argue that the CMF series already covered some of those villains, but the same could be said for Aladdin and Sleeping Beauty. - Perhaps these seven tales are what Disney sees are the most iconic. They left out Cinderella, interestingly. Perhaps her story will get better treatment when the castle releases???

That villains set baffles me. I love the idea of a villains minifig collection, although I think they could have included more villains or even other characters. Instead of this buildable objects display, they could’ve done a booknook with fairy tale vignettes of these minifigs! As JeanGrey said, there’s so many more left out. To me, one iconic ‘character’ is the ballerina hippo from Fantasia. There will undoubtedly several other iconic characters left out after this castle comes out.

That clamshell is not branded as 'Disney 100' while I am assuming that this upcoming castle will be branded as such. In which case, will this be a limited edition run? Just a couple weeks ago, I just could not wait for this set to be released. But if true that this will be a remake of the just-retired castle, then I can't wait for it to be retired...so we may see a different castle released! LOL I believe they retired the Disney Train Station months ahead of the previous castle. I wonder if they had a replacement (park) attraction in mind to replace it. Aren't there two more unknown sets listed which are $100++ for later in the year?

On the one hand, it really breaks my heart that it isn't the Sleeping Beauty castle. Lego really lost an opportunity there. On the other hand, I could see why Disney may insist on having the set modeled out of their larger castle that also appears on their company logo. I can only hope there is much much substantial difference in the build of this new set.

Based on some write-ups on the internet, Disney plans to remake the story quite a bit to "appeal" to certain sectors. I fear that in the end, the name/ title "Snow White" will be the only thing left of the original. Lego could just be printing money if things like the Snow White Cottage, Cinderella carriage, etc. are on shelves and just getting regular updates. We all have to keep waiting for an anniversary like this, or remake to get something, and it ends up being a bit different from the original stories most AFOLs grew up with. Anti-climactic. Oh well, I can instead spend my money on that Ninjago City Markets, or save it for the Avengers tower. LOL

It is on the promo bricks web site write up for the Ariel castle - google-translated into English. I feel like the three Fairy Godmothers would be plausible. However, Belle and Beast have to be in somewhere??? There will probably be a Snow White set next year based on the upcoming film. Sigh.

Promobricks has it rumored that the Disney castle for July will have 12 minifigs. They are claiming that they heard that Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, and Tiana will be included, with their respective princes. If true, I wonder which characters the remaining four are? I wonder if it is going to be two more pairs of princess + prince, or just standalone characters we have just not had?

I wonder if this new body style will be used for Beast, perhaps.

I am not a big fan of buildable 'figs' at all. Although on the one hand, I could understand why Simba/ The Lion King could perhaps only be best featured in such form since minifig scale would have involved too many new moulds, no? If I remember correctly, the four Disney sets that were included in that Survey list that leaked were: Snow White cottage, Simba (buildable), Donald Duck (buildable), and Maleficent Dragon vs the Prince. And the leaker mentioned that they were a price survey for sets for next year. Perhaps one of those $100++ items remaining for this year could be the Lumiere + Cogsworth buildable set? Bummer if both are indeed buildables. :(

Hopefully they make a Marvel CMF which is comic-accurate. Some would argue the DC one didn't do well? Then again the upcoming X-men 97 have costumes that are more cartoon accurate than any of the MCU.

Curious what those other $100+++ sets will be. I’m only after sets that include minifigs. Couldn’t care for the brick-built displayables.
