    I wonder if Lego will ever make a goat in another color, or even one with a patterned hide. For the latter, I am guessing they might be protecting the value of the previous goat.

    I could see Lego possibly doing a yellow and white orchid to balance out the current color palette in the collection lineup. However, orchids are traditionally some shade of pink/ magenta/ purple.

    I really don't mind that lady, and in fact she can just get a new hair and makeup and she will be the perfect friend (or rival) to the Rococo aristocrat. But nothing is "queen" or "Greek" about her.

    Rivendell gave us an amazing lineup of ALL NEW minifigs. I feel like future LOTR sets will now follow the usual formula of a certain percent of the lineup as being repeats from previous sets.

    Good point about smaller sets - the profits may not be as guaranteed as larger sets! I do think that if they do at least one wave of small sets after this much excitement building up from Rivendell and Brad-dur, that this particular wave will be successful, and future waves will totally depend on buyer reception. If memory serves me right, Barad-dur went on backorder sooner after initial sales, compared to Rivendell. So that is probably some good 'data' right there. Does Lego have the licenses to make merchandise for the new films?

    Is it possible to 'translate' the minidoll version of Prince Phillip into minifigure form? I am still bummed out that Lego decided to cancel the minifig set. I could find dual-molded red legs with black boots but could not find brown legs with black boots. I am wondering if some of the older medieval torsos will match the minidoll as well. The medieval torsos with similar clothing that I could find, have tattered patches.

    Apart from the survey leak, I think Lego did a good job keeping the rumors and leaks down. All I could think is that Lego would be foolish to ignore the sales and fan reception of both Rivendell and Barad-dur. Both items went on 'backorder' shortly after going on sale online.

    I am rooting for Minas Tirith. They should cycle through the movies for locations each year. ;)

    Now that you mention it, those three buildings seem awkward when placed together. The Jazz Club is the most out of place. I am hoping they come up with something that will either balance out the lineup, at least in terms of exterior aesthetics, or at the very least go with the Museum, and the Hotel.

    Many non-fans and fans alike, including myself, have been wrong about Barad-dur, especially how it will supposedly be less successful than Rivendell. Not quite sure what to think of Easter eggs these days. Especially when influencers use it to drive up more attention to themselves. But you are right, it is nice for most collectors and Lego fans to imagine what these could mean for themselves. Lots of potential for this theme! I do wonder how far into the future Lego will keep re-using the minifigs??? I would love to see other locations. Although I will still buy a Bag End if that's the direction they go... Many of these Easter Eggs make sense only when looking at the past references. I would buy it too. Heck, if it were even 1K I would get it!

    I would not mind a butcher. Some time back, lego released a fish monger with a minifig and side build. I guess a butcher could have been part of the shelved city market that they mentioned. Wonder if this will really be true for this year, or that December item will be a different Icons item? I feel like this year's release will be a 'normal' size modular after that big museum set. Hospital and university are two establishments that minifigs badly need, for which there has been no substitute business in past modulars.

    I think whichever new faction wins the vote, the other three should be featured in a CMF! LOL

    Are we going to be locked into just large D2C sets every year or so? I mean I would buy it. But there has also been so much clamor for smaller multiple sets. Perhaps Lego could consider a year of a large D2C alternating with a year of a wave of smaller releases. I know they have said just prior to Rivendell release that they will only be going with large D2Cs, but perhaps the reception might change their minds? Rivendell is a tough act to follow. It has great appeal even to occasional fans, and the minifig selection is just amazing. Barad-dur will do well but like many have said, perhaps not as great as Rivendell.

    Was on a holding queue for 10 mins on Chrome browser (web site keeps crashing on Safari). But finally purchased. Expensive!!!

    I like the greens and they would fit in with the Every Spaceman is Awesome concept. But I voted for gold because it looked the most unique to me. LOL Yes, why did Lego have us choose??? Everybody will go crazy with ANY new spaceman color! JUST MAKE THEM ALL!!! And I voted for Krakens as my "green" color choice. LOL

    10 figs. Perhaps Magneto, Wolvie, Rogue, Cyclops, Beast and Storm will be repeats? Just my guess. So that means fewer new characters. Perhaps it will just be an open-back build, and non-modular consider the date of release is close to the possible next modular?

    Brick Clicker is saying that the cancelation of the Maleficent minifig set had to do with the fact that another minidoll set was canceled the last minute, and something had to take its place. So the Maleficent set was converted into a mini doll set??? Disney minifigs are just an afterthought???

    Totally agree! I wonder if the reason for scrapping the set is because of anticipated poor sales, or because it might conflict with another project/ set (Disney or otherwise)? I feel like after a few fantastic Disney 100 months, the mini fig-based sets have come to a screeching halt.
