  1. Very niche. Who would want it?
  2. The usual argument from Lego. "These kind of sets don't sell well. We will only make a half-effort set. And so you see, no one really wants to buy it."
  3. Come to think of it, it could also go completely the other way - Lego could make the rooms that reference characters not included in this set. Example, Beast's lab, since he already was in the CMF. Stickers. Oh yes, that's one way Lego can cheapen this set. I hope they keep it to a minimum! With many MOCers on RB, I would really like for Lego or an independent MOCer to come up with a basement to go with this set!!! Asgard!!! Long overdue!!! I really want a comic version, with comic-based characters!!! Heimdall!!! Odin!!! Freya!!!
  4. What else would you include with the drivers? Mechanics, tire-changers and managers? Wouldn't an F1 CMF potentially be a lot more headache than a singular brand CMF in terms of IP/ licenses?
  5. How many rooms could you fit in a modular of that size? Three? The Museum modular had three 'halls' on the ground floor, right? I am thinking that the rooms will tie in with the characters that will be included. If this is going to be the big modular/ set of the year for Marvel, I wonder if there will be a GWP?
  6. Bring on the 'classics'... it is always risky basing a new release on an untested remake (remember the doomed clamshell?).
  7. Lego should consider making more senators.
  8. So, what layouts have they not explored yet? I could think of the 'reverse corner' as one. Perhaps a circular building? A building with a slanted wall?
  9. I can really see where people are coming from when they ask for smaller sets, but I could also see the logic of keeping the sets large and expensive. Smaller sets, assuming there are several, would appease almost everyone because there would be something for each type of Lego or LOTR fan. However, keeping the sets large allows Lego more robust and intricate builds, and at the same time keeps the products exclusive. With the way Lego has been cutting corners these days, smaller sets will tend to be "cheaper" items. I don't mind if they go either way. I hope I am wrong, but I guess unless the big sets 'fail', then perhaps they would not revise their strategy.
  10. They forgot his important headpiece.
  11. I wonder if we will ever get comic-based Marvel minifigs and sets???
  12. I do not disagree that this set could be improved. But I will buy it. We don't have much in terms of Disney sets.
  13. So basically it was a battlepack. The Rivendell today is a masterpiece in construction and scale.
  14. Reversal of roles - and now DC is reduced to a few Batman releases. LOL
  15. Do all of the eight Batman Brickheadz have equivalent in minifig forms? Which ones are they? These are the only ones I could find: Bronze age - sh 111???/ 025???/ 025a??? Classic TV - sh 233/ 703 1989 - sh 866/ 899/ 607/ 880 BTAS - sh 962/ 958 Dark Knight - sh 791/ 132/ 781/ (064???) Batman vs Superman - sh 218??? TLBM - sh 312/ etc The Batman - sh 786
  16. You find the word/ description "modular" everywhere, and beyond just building toys!!! I hope that Lego's announcement makes all these modular-builders to post their instructions on RB from now on instead of wasting their time on the Ideas web site. LOL
  17. LOL That previous Council of Elrond set was a joke compared to the actual Rivendell set!
  18. They could always do Bag End and Helms Deep in a much grander scale and with better features, just like what Lego is doing with the Star Wars theme. But I am with you, that newer locations are more likely like Minas Tirith, etc.
  19. Might anyone have suggestions for parts to put together to come up with a minifig for Glinda and The Wizard? I was initially thinking that Glinda's skirt could be the one from the Rococo Artistocrat CMF. I completed all four minifigs from The Lego Movie plus the Witch and Monkeys to put together in a frame. I think Disney is intent on keeping the Wizard of Oz in the minidoll line so I doubt we will get some minifigs soon.
  20. Not saying they put all classic space in one set, but spread them out... say some on a future CMF, or a future set.
  21. The other thing I am going to complain about and this may be a bit off topic is the fact that they made us pick a new classic space color. Why can't we just have all five?!?!? I could understand the new shield because a new shield will open up a new faction. But it is not like a new spaceman which is a singular unit. Yes, Lego's logic sometimes is ...
  22. I would prefer it to remain 18, but if they go down to 12, then they should release the series more often.
  23. There is rumor of another Iron Man Hall of Armor next year, although for a much smaller price. I wonder if it will contain a substantial number of new and unique suits. It is rumored to have a new Igor build. As much as that sounds exciting, I hate for most of the piece count go to that.
  24. With Jabba's sail barge coming soon, I notice that Lego does update these classic sets every certain number of years. What is your most-wanted remake? Mine is 'Palpatine's Arrest' and I would like it to have a more substantial build and as many minifigs as possible.
