Hmm, could the 2 new characters be the new ninja for Ninjago united? Is this the precursor? Minifigs appear to be exactly the same as yesteryear so that would explain why there’s no new face prints as it wouldn’t be worth it for one last wave. Hopefully we see more pics soon. -

Sets are leaking as we speak on promobricks livestream, these look phenomenal! Kais car looks decent, lots of new parts. Mech duel looks alright, but a solid way to get 2 nice mechs, even if the builds are a bit strange. Golden Lloyd? And the bone warrior mech looks weird! Coles dragon looks amazing, a very nice build and I love the horns! Massive improvement over the Kai dragon from last year! New wings as well, and the enemy looks cool. Wow, the mech bike. Weird for sure, but not bad. Definitely original, but I was hoping for something more streamlined and low to the ground. Nice figures and the mech itself looks good. jays jet doesn’t look too bad but definitely suffers from the downsize. No exclusive figs so probably gonna be forgotten very quickly. jays Titan mech, holy crap. This thing is wild. Unlike anything I’ve ever seen, more of a MOC than a set. Huge crest on the head, massive blade and very gangly mecha inspired design, sort of like the overwatch 2 Titan set that never released. Love the colours! Incredibly unique and good figs. And Wu bot is back, lovely! Not much left to reveal now, just the brick box and the water dragon. brick box looks amazing, lots of new parts, and useful temple parts, but is definitely targeted at a younger demographic. Hopefully pretty cheap, maybe £45-55. and finally. The Nya dragon, which of course is a store exclusive and thus we won’t know what it looks like till reveal day. Overall, an incredible wave. Captures the “core” look and feel whilst still being incredibly creative and unique. I can’t wait for these sets! I definitely feel like the strongest sets are the smallest which is great for small budgets! -

Heads up guys, tonight’s the night. Promobricks has the dragon in hand and have asked if they should take a look at the instructions for the other sets. This is it fellas. The night of judgement! jokes aside I’m really excited. Titan mech especially. -

I’ve creature has leaked, looks like a beautiful main build and an alright mech build, minifigs are decent, but core 1 zane is back. I love the temple and turret and the build itself looks amazing, massive flags and the brick built wings don’t look too bad. The bone knights as they’re called look alright, colours are a bit all over the place but I like the design. I’d give them a 6-7 out of 10 Set itself is definitely a 8-9 out of 10 -

Considering zane is in core 1 gi, I’d say it’s probably a good shot that it’s blue and gunmetal grey, as that was nyas core gi colour scheme. I’m really hoping if they’re keeping the ninja the same that we either get new face prints, or they go all out on the villains, and the latter looks likely. Either that or they’re saving budget for the summer wave. When those set names leak, it’s gonna be insane. I can see the community divided if there’s new names. -

I’m glad core is finally getting some more love, it had a shaky start for sure but I think it has found it’s feet with a balance of originality and new concepts. Hopefully as the sets are being sent, they will be revealed or at least leaked very soon. Kind of funny that I’m working on an Asian style dragon with 6 legs and now a 6 legged European (by the looks of it) dragon has come out of nowhere. And this one can turn into a mech. Simply can’t wait. Im sure everyone here shares the same sentiment, it will be good to be excited about something that doesn’t have an awful payoff (cough cough crystalized cough) -

Agreed. I have a feeling that whislt crystallised focused on minifigs over builds (minus the golden dragon raider, which I think is an unreleased MK set that was given to the ninjago team to reskin) I think core is gonna focus on builds. From what we have seen so far, it looks like zane is in his core 1 suit, along with the old pixal figure. That and the fact that there isn't very many figures in sets makes me think that it's builds over figures now, which personally I'd love to see, and so far that dragon looks incredible. I cannot wait to see the thing in HD and I have to say, despite being a core wave, theres a lot of original stuff here. A massive 6 legged transforming dragon, a motorbike for a mech, a brick box (which I cant wait to get, gonna be a great parts pack for temples) and a new titan mech. I particularly like the way core is tying up ninjago as a whole, completing the dragons for each ninja, the spinners and the titan mechs. one for every team member. Master Wu titan mech when? The side build appears to be a temple or shrine structure, apparently it also has a turret so probably a gun in the centre of it. I understand not buying the ninja dojo temple if moneys thin, (it always is nowadays) but the dojo temple has become one of, if not my favourite set of the year. Its an amazing build with some great figures. Definitely pick it up if you get the chance. I stopped buying magazines for army building ever since the price went up to £5, I cant justify that for a single minifig, although the quality of the crystallised wave has made me reconsider on most. Still, next issue after that will be oni Lloyd (without the mask) so I'm gonna pick that up, and considering he only wore the mask for 5 seconds (plus he had 4 arms, so it will be inaccurate anyways) I'm happy to get him. Cole is the current minifig on the issue, so I can get the head mask of him and put it on Lloyd as I dont think I'm gonna be getting the dragon unless it goes on sale. -

Promobricks have published a load of new info, this sounds like an incred Core wave. Motorbike riding mechs, Titan mechs, dragon hunter like villains with skeleton horses and guns, a core water dragon for Nya and a massive new car for Kai. I cannot wait at all to see the sets and considering they have already been sent to shops, I can’t wait. -

Part of zanes ice creature has leaked. It’s a 6 legged beast, zane and pixal are included, and a small shrine. Some people have said it looks bad but I think it look pretty amazing, and it’s best feature: apparently it’s a 2 in one, with what looks like mech feet also shown on the bottom. My guess is that it’s not like the mech jet from prime empire but rather the sections of the dragon/creature can be taken off and re arranged to form a mech. Pretty cool. -

Alright @Killian, you’ve swayed me! Im gonna be hopping on the time travel train now. Pretty interesting, I have to say. And beautiful work on the noodle shop, I love the clean white look of the white walls and simple tree behind the arcade machine, and the interior looks really nice, MKs gaming area looks about right with what we know about him. The brick built sign is pretty good work as well. As for the video, thank you for sharing! I think this could definitely be an option now, especially with the box art on the ultra mech being in the celestial realm, or something similar. -

I wouldn't even care if they had a disclaimer on the box like "boat doesn't float", just make it clear that its not tied to current world tech or issues. Nobody else bats an eye, I mean look at the age we live in. Fortnite, Destiny 2, Overwatch 2, Dune, and plenty of other sci-fi medias use guns now. Its not a big deal. The fact that lego goes about being all safe about military is already annoying, and it is further angering to see them being horribly hypocritical. We need a "fantasy violence" or "sci-fi violence" tag or something! I can see fortnite getting flagged due to realistic weapons but if the weapons aren't based on actual models or are just a generic 'gun' design like the star wars sets, I think we'd all be fine. -

I'd honestly hate this, lego scaling down the Samson is my biggest gripe with the theme so far, more than the egregious prices of the first wave, I just want a decent Samson now. The current one is fine, but I feel like the scale was decided by the ducted fans, which made it super small. It needs a bigger cockpit and needs to be wider, looking a bit like a pancake. The colours and designs of stickers / prints are spot on though. And also the scorpion is filled with missile pods, I'm talking missiles pods onto of missile pods on top of missile pods..... Lego really need to get their crap together with the military stuff, they cant keep toeing the line. The osprey situation of 2020 was by far the worst thing lego has pulled in situations like this, and unfortunately the market is now thinning out with collectors buying them up from scalpers (there was a dude on eBay with like 20 lined up on his floor and they where £550 each) and it makes it pretty hard for a guy like me to get his hands on one, just to enjoy the osprey. It's my favourite aircraft and was a dream come true when it was revealed, only to be canned 10 days before launch. The Samson is kind of close, being a VTOL craft with 2 rotor pods on each side, but give me a solid lego rendition for £50 and I'd probably get 3 or 4, just because I love the vehicle. -

Very insightful! I do agree, it's weird that tang appears in traditional garb but without his staff, I'm holding out hope that this means we get his staff in another set with him in normal outfit, as I probably won't be picking up the dronecopter. I'm not sure how far lego will stray into making Buddhas, considering they don't like making gods and deites, although they made a massive set for heaven so I'd say its not out of the realm of possibility, and it would certainly be interesting. I'm going back and forth on time travel, mainly as it is very hard to do a good time travel plot, although id be excited to see how it goes. Are you able to identify the stone tablet/scroll looking thing that the gang are all standing behind on the box art? As in does it come from the books? It also appeared in the final few seconds of last seasons finale, behind Wukong and MK (do we actually know what his original name is?). Also, if anyone has pics of monkie kid Mocs, please do share! Theres barley any online and I'm currently building my own street of the small shops that occupy the 8x8 footprint, I'd love to know how your extended noodle shop turned out! -

Battle packs would be amazing, I could see 3 navi and a dire horse, plus a little wooden catapult or something, and maybe 4 RDA mercinerys, a skell suit, and a hex bug? Theres not much revealed that could work for RDA, maybe a scaled down version of the warthog-like vehicle that appeared in concept art, games and the start of the 1st movie? It may be too big, unless we get something like the 501st battle pack set from 2020. -

Yeah, I suppose. What I meant is Lego isn’t helping themselves, although I get why they choose to focus on the “good guys” and not the “bad guys”. Still, it feels like this is probably as good as it’s gonna get, 1 RDA based set for £50 and a sidebuild in a £90 set. -
Lego Avatar 2022/3 - Rumors & Discussion
a guy from somewhere replied to Mr No's topic in LEGO Licensed
It’s a real shame because I feel like Lego would try and shy away from that, despite having a theme dedicated to star *wars*, but hey it makes them money I guess. Hopefully the movie boosts sales and then Lego sees there’s demand for this stuff. Their laws about military vehicles are really scuffed up, they need to sort their stuff for a clear line. The minifigs they make for the RDA don’t realistically represent any world military faction, and the vehicles, despite using military colour schemes such as grey and sand green, do not in anyway represent any vehicles used by any military. (If anyone knows a world power currently utilising a crab suit, let me know! I’ll start packing bags…) I feel like Lego is intentionally trying to kill avatar off, like it was a bad dream that comes back to haunt them. I just hope we see more sets, specifically RDA sets. I may just get the MAKO sub to help sales or whatever. 1 may just make the difference. It probably won’t, but we can try. -

Wow, well done! Definitely putting that one HD pic of the back to good use! I take it there are no new parts to the actual mech? And the knees are static? Rather interesting. Is there any new techniques? Are the ankles the same old single ball joint that will inevitably make this a bit of a pain to get right? I'm continuously amazed at the dedication and lengths the Lego community will go to to get stuff like this done. Again, well done! -

Agreed, judging of the box art (both the show and the “gotta catch them all” gimmick), the parts all utilise existing molds, such as the dragon bone blade hilt and the original monkey king staff, and obviously we can see in the mech that the candle part is used, but also use a variety of brand new molds, quite possibly a new one for each weapon. Another side note I’ve noticed, the background for the “crew shot” from the show on the box has the weird stone tablet with the carved runes we saw at the end of season 3, so obviously it’s playing a bigger part, and I think it’s safe to say going of tangs expression that these are our regular guys just with new outfits. Very excited though, and I’m hoping we get more leaks soon! -

New listings from promobricks, looks like we’re getting a team hideout, so a static base was a good call, I’m desperately hoping for the containers now, and apparently we are having a brick built mech for the elephant, maybe something like the demon bull king from wave 1? Sounds interesting, but I’m concerned with the prices of 140 usd and 80 usd respectively. Seems like a very expensive wave, I’m hoping we get smaller sets as we did with the hover bike back in 2021. -

I'm not entirely sure if it is time travel, as the box art looks like the original crew but just wearing the old school garbs. Looks like I get my wish for Ninjago to go back to ancient times, although its the wrong theme! This may actually be more interesting considering all the demons they can pull from the book, I wonder if we are going to get different demons in different sets. Better get that 2023 thread up and running.... Considering I wasn't really a fan of it when initially revealed, I'm pleasantly surprised by this. I really like the mech, although I stand by my original opinion of it being to messy and sort of over worked, and sadly still no knees. A big fan of it otherwise, although I'm not sure I'll pick it up considering the price. I'll judge it when the rest of the wave comes out and we can see the other figs and weapons. I have a feeling this is one im gonna need to get to complete the weapon set. -

Mechs been officially revealed, looks like there different weapons to collect. Definitely coming around on it. £120 is certainly pushing it on price though… Looks like the weapons or collectibles are the original JTTW characters signature weapons, the staff, the 9 toothed rake, the spade thing Sandy carries and Sangs staff thing. Very interesting, I’m willing to bet there’s an exclusive figure for every weapon that comes in the set.
