  1. So some general thoughts on this wave as more pics have come out: Seems to be a lot of hate, especially on brickset from a lot of smug and dismissive people, but these sets cant appease everyone. Hopefully people will see that these sets are actually pretty cool. The creature builds for this theme are in my opinion pretty poor, the thanitor looks rough, the 2 banshees look awful and boxy, missing their legs and the back wings, and I dont think the moulded heads "flow" well with the rest of the build. On the other hand, the human side of builds look pretty good, but also way to small. I'm not seeing the nearly 900 parts in the Samson set. I really hope we get a £50-£60 set based of the new Samson/scorpion hybrid that was shown in the teaser trailer. The foliage builds are by far the best part of this theme. They all connect, and they all look beautiful. As someone who loves floating mountains and islands, they look amazing and may convince me to pick up these sets alone, as they all are unique and fun. In regards to the hate these sets are getting (hopefully from a vocal minority) at least if the set dont sell well we can see them on sale. I'd love to get multiple Samson's and banshees, and we would also get more foliage. Apart from the tree of souls, every set is pretty mass-able, not counting figures. This is great! At the end of the day, Avatar isn't the most popular movie in the world nowadays (although it was at some point), I still think this theme has great potential, especially looking at the teaser trailer for way of the water. I can see the water banshees, the floating rocks in the sea, the crab suit mech and the new Samson's. its all perfect set material, and hopefully they figure out the Navi minifigs. Hopefully this theme has a bright future. I love it!
  2. Wow, sets look amazing, but those prices are just downright disgusting. I get that theres a lot of recolours and new moulds and whatnot but that £90 Samson set should be £60, £70 max. I was scared they where gonna get rid of the second pod for site 26 and bulk up the Samson but no, they got rid of the second pod and just threw it away. That Samson is so undersized it hurts. No way is that worth £90. The amp suit and thanitor set looks pretty good though, and the 2 banshees look alright. big fan of the floating mountains. Honestly im just scared these sets won't sell and we won't get a second wave. also where are the banshees legs?
  3. Welp Walmart have revealed the next avatar set, the banshee flight. Looks good, if a little small and the banshees don’t seem to have the right wings, although it may just be the way they have been photographed. Yet more floating islands, I can certainly get behind that. All in all it’s a little small for the price. Still anticipating the reveal of the RDA Samson set, really hoping it pops up in the next couple of days with this new Walmart leak.
  4. Second wave should be coming January 2023, based on the second movie, and the first wave of 5 sets (4 normal sets and one duel pack brickheads) will be based on the first movie, consisting of: The tree of souls with toruk makto (the giant red banshee dragon thing), the site 26 research base and RDA Samson (a helicopter and small base), Jake and Neytiris first banshee flight ( 2 blue dragons and some floating rocks), Neytiri and Thanator vs AMP suit Quaritch (a black wolf looking creature with a long snout, vines on its head and 6 legs vs a small mech suit with a large gun, plus some Pandoran vegetation) and finally the 2 pack brickheadz (which is Jake Sulley in human form and Jake Sulley in avatar form). Hope this answers your questions!
  5. Oh yes, thank you for reminding me! I keep thinking 4 because thats all that I'm really interested in, unless the avatar Sully one has some nice blue parts. I would think that we would know if avatar was gonna be part of legos convention list, but I've been wrong before and I hope I am now. I am dying to know what these sets look like! Hopefully more floating rocks!
  6. 3 other sets, and I really hope so. Currently I’m waiting to see that Samson before I put the money aside but I’m really hoping we get to see it soon. It releases in October so I’m not sure on it
  7. I hate to be that person, but they did say "its likely more sets will be affected". Hopefully we get a UK chart soon. I can already take a guess from what my local shop is putting out, the raider at £90, the crystal king and £65, the temple at £80, its all going up. As much as I love the place, hopefully they realise their mistake soon with putting these sets up so high. On the complete opposite end of that, I managed to snag the ninja dojo temple for a cool £45, half off there. Will get into it at the end of the month. It has got me wondering though, I do believe that the final couple of scenes from season 16 may end at the ninja dojo temple. We know it has a chance of appearing in the show as it was featured on a poster, and theres a shrine inside the set to master Wu. I feel like Wu may be killed in the final battle and with the monastery destroyed the team move to the new dojo temple, and theres even a samurai X cave under it! This may be the ending of crystallised, with it being left open and letting the reboot take its place, maybe like 10 years after the final battle, a new team of ninjas must quest to find the old team and battle some unknown evil?
  8. Agreed, id love to pick up the raider, but that new £90 price is downright disgusting. As for the new Lloyd, the mask has come in only 1 other set, Lloyds titan mech. If you have that set, and can pick up the new magazine, I'd recommend digging that figure out.
  9. Indeed, it is still £60! its tempting, but my budget won't allow it for now. I doubt it will stay that way for long, I suggest that you pick one up for in store collection or something, it may just be a one of case that my order goes AWOL, but theres some things that just dont work.
  10. Well I have bad news and good news. Decided to acquire the jet through other means, i managed to get some (pretty rare) free time and popped up to my local shop to go and pick it up, and I found something scary. Downright petrifying! The prices on some of the sets seemed wrong, and when I asked of these where the marked up prices due to inflation, the storeowner, Joe, told me that yes, these where marked up due to legos decision and inflation taking hold. Luckily the jet and the bike where the same price, along with the Cole crusier, however the crystal king set was £60, and the Kai raider, it was £90. £90! This is ridiculous. I hope thats not the fixed price for it going forward, and maybe its just an error on early pricing. But £90 is incredibly upsetting. On another note, I now cannot cancel my Argos order. They need to get their stuff in shape.
  11. See this is what I’m trying to figure out, the sets appear to be exclusive online for Argos as my local toy shop is carrying all of the crystallised sets, despite Argos flaunting their “new and exclusive” banners everywhere. I think that’s the case, the sets are exclusive online to Argos. Sadly my package now seems to be AWOL on yodels system. I wish I could have just gotten them of Amazon. It’s just annoying.
  12. I don’t know if Lego would do that, considering he’s the most sacred god in a very big religion, and Lego has tried to stray away from stuff like that, although MK is certainly breaking that cycle.
  13. Decided to bite the bullet on the zane jet as my local store still hasnt't gotten any stock in and they are uncertain if they will even get ninjago now. I'll pick up the bike at a later date. I cannot recommend buying from Argos. Their website is a shody excuse for an online shopping site, with delivery prices being wrongly advertised, buttons just straight up not working, telling me its out of stock when 20 mins later I am able to place an order on a different device, and don't even get me started on CS. I'm probably just over exposed to the blessed customer service of lego but this one was awful. No way to contact them directly, and the livechat is run by a virtual assistant that on 3 occasions just straight up left the chat unless I told it I was trying to apply for the Argos card. Top it off with slow and expensive delivery, the fact you have to make an account to even purchase anything and I just cant recommend using Argos if you're in the UK. Lego has not made the right decision, and they also haven't responded to my emails as well. I appreciate that I may be sounding like i'm whining like an entitled brat, however if the only way people in the UK are able to get some of these amazing sets is through a crappy company, I dont think its worth getting these sets until you can find a better deal, and I dont want other people to waste their time trying. edit: anyone know why the words live-chat get auto corrected to [/quote]?
  14. They deleted the story on their insta a couple mins later, my guess is that it was put up to early and for once I agree. I want to finish crystallised before we get any new info for next year. Let’s enjoy what we have and not be subject to another content drought
  15. Still haven't gotten a reply from lego after a week, they're usually pretty good with CS. After enquiring with the local toy shop they say they're gonna get "some ninjago any day now", so I'll see what comes in. As for Argos, its a mess. Delivery is advertised as £2.95 but when totalled up its £4, and you cant change it, you need to make an account which is slow and half the stores just dont deliver or aren't in stock. Its really baffling, Its like lego wants this to fail. Argos was definetly not the best choice, maybe amazon could have been better. The sets are also advertised as "early access" on its homepage so I'm wondering if the sets will get a wide release in august like the US. Lego making stupid marketing decisions. Whats new?
  16. Agreed on the above. Whislt I dont care as much as others about minifigs when it comes to sets, these ones, god I cant get my head around them. I think its just the idea of the nose. Gonna look mighty weird next to the humans. But the set itself looks amazing, but I cant justify the price. Hopefully we see the Samson set soon, its the only one I'm fully considering buying
  17. trailer for part 2 dropped at Lego con. Nice to see Tommy there, but over all was a small segment. Holly crap was that trailer good though. Fugidove mech confirmed?
  18. It’s pretty much confirmed it’s just this one. I really want to be wrong but they said that the producer of avatar will be revealing a special set, and seen as we’ve seen this one I think that’s it
  19. Sadly not, this is gonna be the one I think, and that theory is even more influenced by the fact that they pulled the images despite everyone seeing them. Classic Lego right there. They said on the Lego con teaser 1 new set was gonna be revealed and considering we have already seen high quality pics, and the fact that Walmart has the images, I think this will be it for the time being. It really sucks as I wanted to see the Samson set.
  20. Took them long enough! I have a feeling these figs are gonna be controversial. Personally, I’m not a fan. Hopefully they grow on me, but right now I’m not a massive fan of them. We also get a look at the beautiful rock build on the back, which took up way too much parts budget from the tree but I don’t care, it looks amazing! Sadly a lot bigger than I thought it was, I will have to get the parts for it if bricklink or maybe I find a deal on Amazon or something, because guess what, they’re not Lego exclusives! but yeah back to the figs, I think the strangest part is just how long and straight those legs are, and also the heads have noses. Mini figs do not have noses. This will be weird. But the builds are worth it!
  21. Agreed on the figs, we will have too see better pictures. as for the set itself, I love it. As someone else said, it’s my least favourite set and it looks amazing! I can’t help but feel like too much parts budget went into the torok and the tree looks pretty underdeveloped. Honestly though, it’s the part of the set I care least about. The torok is also an amazing looking creature and I’m fairly sure it will look a lot better in person as box art images don’t do creature builds justice, and this one looks particularly bad. But my favourite part of this entire set is strangely the side build! Those floating rocks and plant structures off to the right look amazing, even if I don’t pick this set up, I will order the parts and copy that build. I love any type of floating island media and seeing some in Lego is amazing! now, as for the big question. Is this gonna be the one we see at Lego con? I think it is. It’s the biggest set, centred around the navi, and considering it has been revealed by Walmart, that means the sets images where avalible to publish. These sets don’t get sold till October so Why would they have the pictures now? As much as I hate to admit it I think this is all we are gonna see until maybe mid September of the avatar sets, as they’re only revealing 1 at Lego con. But who knows? Maybe we will see another set? It’s unlikely, but not out of the question.
  22. It has now been confirmed that the producer for the new avatar movie will be revealing just one set from the avatar line. Goddamit Lego, it’s such a small wave, just show us all of them. So what are we betting? I think the banshee flight is probably gonna be the one considering we heard about it months before everyone else and it’s the mid range set.
  23. So, I did a bit of digging. Zane jet is available on amazon at about £30, although with a bit of hunting, I found one for £25. The sets marked "new and exclusive" at Argos dont show up on amazon, confirming their exclusivity. I wonder why they picked Argos of all places. Surly there where better alternatives. As the jet appeared to be not exclusive I will question my local store to see when its in, supporting local businesses and all that. This is sadly whats killing them off. Lego really need to pick up their game if they're gonna salvage this season. Somethings are sadly inevitable like the price hikes, but theres so many other things they can do to stop it from completely going down the drain.
  24. What the hell is up with this season? This was going so well, the sets, the marketing, the trailers. Now it’s just all falling apart. Episodes randomly coming and going, leaks everywhere, prices increasing and weird release schedules. It’s like if Lego actually tries it just all falls apart, like trying to get a hold of a crumbly slice of cake! I’ll confirm on Wednesday if the sets will be stocked by my local shop. If they don’t have them it’s safe to say Argos will be having them. In the mean time, keep an eye out if your in the UK for the sets!
  25. How did you find this out? I’ve been waiting for my local family run toy shop to get the sets in, I’m gonna go ask when their next shipment arrives. (I’m a pretty regular customer) but if the sets are exclusive then that will make an interesting predicament.
