Would love to see maybe a sky themed story with cloud demons that are held together by lightning, normal warriors could be white/grey, generals could be dark grey and the big bad could be a black storm cloud colour. -

Cannot wait for the transforming bike, as long as it is big enough, hot take but I love most of the ninjago bikes and I'm pretty excited for a transforming motorbike mech, albeit a little to similar to core with that price as well. I'm working on a project at the moment utilising the old technic 6x6 off road tow truck wheels, its basically what i'd love to see from ninjago as a flagship set of a wave, maybe if they did SOG part 2. Basically an enormous motorbike mobile base, and with how wide the wheels are it gives it pretty good stability. Obviously it doesn't have a rider so think of it as a rounded box shape with a wheel in the front and a wheel at the back, with some heavy weaponry on the side. The new bounty I'm hoping has some interesting features, and please give us a hull as well! Thats one thing lego cant perfect yet, how to give the bounty a hull and a sleekp shape. Hopefully some interesting engine mechanisms too. I'm interested in how this dragon power stuff is gonna carry over as well. Seen some people on insta say this theme is toast now, I hope not, hopefully with this wave we get a fresh new take on most things, although set wise its looking to be hit or miss. What has Ninjago not done yet, apart from the obvious (space)? Maybe a volcano theme? Or a dream theme? What about a dimension hopping theme? Obviously I've been inspired from the recent "dreamzzz" leak, I was part of the thread asking questions when it happened. What would you guys like to see for a new sub theme? -

Absolutely, Lego has definitely perfected dragon builds now, my main point will be and always will be Lloyds legendary dragon. Wether they choose to use the amazing techniques though, that’s another question (Looking at you, zanes core dragon!). In other news, falcon fan has finally posted the names, with 2 sources linked. The minecraft goat dude isn’t one of them, which means we now have 3 or 4 sources, most being reliable. I guess that guy wasn’t full of crap after all, which I’m glad to hear. Now I can’t wait to see this new wave of sets! -
Lego Avatar 2022/3 - Rumors & Discussion

Forgot to mention I purchased the Ilu set as well, its beautifully done and as its the lowest priced, I dont think it will get much of a sale. I'm waiting to see if I can snag the avatar 1 sets on sale before they get retired, I need that Samson set but theres no way in hell lego is getting £90 from me, as much as I love this theme and want to see it continue im drawing the line there, considering the Samson build is pretty rough IMO. Anyways, back on track, the figures for the Ilu set are pretty good, although they dont really capture the characters from the movie very well. Tuk eccpesily doesnt really work as she had long legs and arms and a smaller body but in the set its the opposite, with short legs and arms and a regular body. The display base builds are very nice and use a lot of nice parts, and the Ilu itself is also a pretty cool build, definitely looks good on display (especially if you have Tsireya on the Ilu and Tuk swimming with it). Drawbacks of the Ilu are the wings have a somewhat noticeable "lego 2023" copyright thing on it in the centre, and the back of the creature feels somewhat blocky despite the curves used. The Ques (Navi hair connector) are also hard to attach to the head as they are just about too far away. Overall theres a low chance of this set going on sale, and its pretty good solid little set, giving 2 minifigs from the different tribes and different height, so the variety is nice. The build itself is pretty good, and the head mold is fantastic, defiantly one of the better brick built/moulded head cross creations from lego. I defiantly recommend it, 7.5/10 set IMO. I'm just happy we have lower priced avatar sets. will prob pick up the skim wing if I see it drop to £25 as well. -
Lego Avatar 2022/3 - Rumors & Discussion

This was brought up In a design interview I believe, mainly down to how the designers wanted a more open feel and not restrict the build to a set layout with clips. But they wanted to keep some modularity so all the bases are octagonal, thus you can technically put them together, but not physically connect them. Honestly id prefer it if all could connect but I'm more than happy with the current way, especially considering that it represents ocean terrain which is famous for its wild, alien and random designs. -

I'm 90 percent sure this is fake as it seems to originate from a website like IMBD, which has been used before for fake ninjago leaks. The episode also has a release date almost 5 months away, which is pretty damn far, considering we also have a description. I'm calling fake, but I'd love to be wrong. -

I take it you’ve seen the pictures in the instruction manual? Maybe ask online if anyone will do a combo vid from lan? I believe masters of brickjitzu may have both and so does duckbricks. I’m sure both would be happy to get a video out of that. -

Nice catch with Wainfleet, I can see it now. That’s actually kinda nice knowing that we have a fig of Quaritchs right hand man. I also see that someone has been reading up on the art of avatar! Lovely book, Ben Procter and his team did a great work with the visuals. I agree, it may actually work better as a scorpion. I hate to say it, but I do believe now that Lego avatars days are numbered, especially as the only other sets that they could make are from vehicles that are used in whale hunts… apart from the kestrel, which may be possible but unlikely with the domed cockpit “eyes” and the heavy weaponry. -

Yeah, it’s not looking good, so I’m gonna take what I can get with these 2 waves. I saw the movie again today, I highly recommend a second viewing as now that you know the plot, it doesn’t really matter if you miss anything so you can focus on the details, and every frame is amazing with some crazy details like scars on an ilu or the animal looking mechs the RDA uses at bridgehead. There’s a massive crane in the background of the main bridgehead scene which looks cool. But as most of the vehicles seen were used for tulkun hunting, I doubt Lego will give us any more. I have a sneaking suspicion that they weren’t told everything about the movie when designing the sets, but then again, their morales are so over the place it’s hard to know these days. Maybe they did get told the mako sub would be used only to hunt whales and they greenlit it anyways? I’d say the 2 aircraft, the kestrel and the sea wasp have the highest chance of getting made as they are pretty far distanced from our current tech. But yeah, I didn’t expect this theme to last, as great as it is. The hate train from the first Avatar kinda ended the race before it even began, and the avatar 2 sets remain to be seen as to how they sell. I’ve decided to hold back on the Ilu and skimwing till they go up on Amazon, then I’ll get them with fast shipping. I will definitely get those 2, and the Payakan and mako if they go on sale. -

Looking at those beautiful new speed champions sets, that windshield on the black and white McLaren looks like a perfect fit for a sea wasp cockpit. I hope we get it as a set, and if not, atleast we got a decent cockpit for a MOC. -

Quick question regarding the GWP stuff, I have gotten a couple of official Lego e-gift cards, if I was to use them on the combi mech and the hideout, (plus the ninjago ice dragon), would I be able to get the blacktron GWP? This is somewhat off topic, but I figured as the majority of my order is MK, I figured I’d ask here. So will Lego gift cards work for getting GWP, or am I gonna need to spend the regular money to get it? January 1st is looking good if I can just use the E-gift cards. -

Exactly, I get the navi viewpoint, but in the eyes of the RDA, earth is dying, and the entire pandora project is a last ditch attempt to save humanity. Thats something I really liked in the new film, the differing viewpoints - -

Too be fair, avatars big selling point is the visuals, and the vehicles and creatures make up a lot more of my personal interests overall, and I know that goes for a lot of people I know IRL, which generally places a bigger importance on the world around the characters. Like sure I could name all the major characters, but I can much quicker list off all the tech the RDA use, like the ISV or the sea wasp. I guess it just comes down to personal preference. As for actual schedules, i guess the theme will phase in and out of existence if Lego has deemed this first run to be acceptable, and I hope it has, I wouldn’t mind taking a break every couple of years and then coming back to discuss what new stuff we could see from the first trailers before Lego makes the sets. I know some summer set listings have gone up and some of the big names are reporting on them, so they seem clear from being false rumours, and I haven’t seen any avatar mentioned. @Falconfan1414 have you seen any listings for summer Avatar sets? -

The problem with all of these ideas is to get a sufficient model, it would either have to be absolutely massive, or mini/midi scale builds. I would love a micro scale bridgehead map (the compound) that’s say £30, but at the end of the day who is that really gonna appeal to? Just us. I don’t think it’s recognisable enough and didn’t appear in the movie much, and most people don’t even know the name of the city. Heck, I only know so much about it because I’ve studied the base extensively, going through all the videos and artwork I can find. I brought the concept art book just so that I could see the RDA tech, and there’s so much concept art for bridgehead, it’s obvious that it was meant to play a larger role in the film. Lego Avatar needs to appeal to kids, that’s the main selling point of the theme, and if adults can’t even remember stuff like that, what chances to kids have? Best to stick with the main aspects of the film, which they have. We have a crab suit and mako sub, which duckbricks has pointed out that the power source may actually be something different, if you know the orange spoiler. Most of the vehicles that appeal the most in the film (RDA wise) just aren’t able to be built in Lego form. I would love to have a minifig scale sea dragon or Valkyrie shuttle, but someone built a minifig scale shuttle a couple years back and it was like 2 meters long. The only feasible RDA sets they could make boil down to 4 vehicles, the kestrel (I thought it was called the hornet, but the book proved me wrong!), the seawasp, the matador and the picador. There was a ton of auxiliary vehicles about but those 4 played the biggest roles. There’s other vehicles, like the swan (a halo warthog looking 6 wheeler) that shows up for a scene or 2 in the background, that I doubt anyone remembers. I hope we do get more RDA, the book has pictures and drawings of all the tech and it looks superb, especially as it isn’t flashing past on a screen at 90mph, and it’s clear from the notes that the RDA design team went all out with the vehicles. If anyone is on the fence about getting the concept art book, I highly recommend it for the RDA tech alone. It’s beautiful. At the end of the day, I’ll be happy just to get a summer wave of avatar sets, and I’m gonna keep my fingers crossed to see a seawasp, as I think that lends itself to be the best candidate to becoming brick built. The kestrel would be nice but may be too close to the samson with the dark Green military paint job. An interesting note is that Lego have said that they specifically want to stay away from the human side of things, which I disagree with completely, I think that’s what they should have more focus on. An 18+ ISV set up like the Hogwarts express would also be extremely welcome… -

Something is telling me it will be a Chinese new year thing, I really hope not though. I may email Customer Service and see what I can track down. As for instructions, they’re often not up until a couple days after the sets release. -

New reviews are up, I suggest Tiagos review as it covers all the sets. Some interesting notes, the skim wing is massive, I underestimated that wingspan, and the Mako sub has a hidden power source (cool I guess? I may just remove it and have the space for storage) and the gaps on the sides are awful, they really should have made a new part for the RDA cockpit. It definitely feels like the reef builds that are included (bar the ones that support the vehicle/creature builds) where the go-to filler builds when the main build didn't look like it would fit the set price threshold. The tulken actually looks very good, although the fins feel very static. I also didn't realise it before but the crab suit literally has the harpoon mounted on the arm that is fired into the tulken. I hope we see the sea wasp or kestrel in a latter wave. The skim wing and Ilu will definitely be day 1 buys, I love both, and I also like how concept art is inside the instructions. -

Best guess would be to ask duckbricks, or any other LAN members and maybe see if he could provide you a link to pictures from the instructions, I’m not sure though if he’s allowed to as they are not yet released. He’s a great guy so I’m sure he will be happy to help, but as they are 2023 sets and it’s not 2022, I don’t think Lego will allow it. Give it a shot, in a week the instructions will be released online anyways so you can look through there. -

Ah I see, gotta keep up the tradition! Lecister square is nowhere near me, however I may be going down to London soon for medical related stuff. I can see what they have there. I agree, it’s a damn shame we have to wait for mail, all manner of things could happen to it, never mind the endless postage strikes in the UK as well. I wish you luck on the call. -

I’ve seen people say it could be a gradual phase out of the main characters, say they stick around for a wave or 2 being accompanied by the new guys, so kids get used to it. Maybe we see a set of 3 new ninja this wave, a set of 3 new ninja next wave and then the following wave (summer 2024? Is it really that close?) we get a full change over. This would integrate them in without having a massive cut off and leaving kids confused and worried. I remember when I saw pics of the ninja for season 8 and the movie and I had a minor heart attack thinking that the others had just been dumped and this was the new cast. In a way, yes, but I’m glad the redesigns happened. -

From what I've heard theres a chance that the flagship store will carry some MK sets, such as the one in London. I'm not sure what the US flagship store is, something is telling me its New York which im guessing for someone who is in California, is completely out of the question. It seems they didn't sell well enough in the west to warrant a full physical release, which is such a shame. Maybe phone ahead to your local store and ask if they have any of the MK sets, or you could see if they can be ordered in? I dont know if thats a service they even run, never mind them getting there on time.... In short, yeah it looks like you will have to both order online and buy instore. Honestly at that point I would just order everything online unless your trying to score multiple of the blacktron ship GWP which wouldn't be a bad idea. -

Gonna throw my hat into the ring and also say that as some of sets seem to be including 2 builds, i can only assume that this is to “race” eachother, like the team mechs and empresses mech vs elemental dragon. I am seriously wondering how they will have a whole racing season plot wise, is the whole season just one big race like the Dakar rally? So the bounty is like the land bounty, a rolling HQ? I guess prime empire already went down the road of race season with the speedway 5 billion, especially considering 4 of the sets where racer based, along with 2 legacy sets popping up in the mix. -

Sounds fake, and considering the timing I wouldn’t trust it, and the dragon power spinjitzu sets sound fake. Sora sounds like Sorla from the ice chapter, and we’ve just had a mech bike. However if this is real, I love the sound of this. A bounty will be good, hopefully in the same vein as the final flight from 2015. Dragon vs mech sounds great. I’m also gonna throw shade at the zane dragon power car, that doesn’t seem right, especially considering the ending of crystalized. Do you have a source? -

Post episode streams? Is there VODs, and if so, where can I find them? I will jump at any chance I can get these days, the soundtrack is gorgeous and IMO it rivals ninjago. Wether its better, Its a hard decision, mostly because ninjago has had so much. But I favour the latter tracks (spinjitzu burst, chaining the oni titan, the darkness, the fall, the dragon hunt, the list goes on), so if we compare monkie kids tracks through to season 3 and ninjagos tracks to season 3, I'm gonna have to give it to monkie kid. Whilst the ninjago tracks are stunning from seasons 1-3 (falcon chase, rover battle, the digiverse and the temple of light are some of the best), monkie kid has more variety and I like the fast paced techno music that they use for Mei and MK. Love all of it though, I'm glad I can experience both, and getting a Spotify release for MK would be a dream come true, especially with ninjago being confirmed to be getting a full Spotify release for every season now. 2023 is gonna rock!
