LEGO Ninjago 2023 Discussion

Does anyone remember the name of the website that had the catalogue leak from February 2021 where we uncovered basically the entire summer set wave in prelim form from a random website? I'm trying to find the website name, and looking back through old files and pictures of the leaked images, all I got was klammsteiner, which isn't the one im looking for. Just wondering if there would be anything kicking around whilst we wait for official images. also, I miss Guyon_2002, he doesn't seem to be active very much now on the forums. Hope hes doing good nowadays. -

I wouldn't bet on it, the Indi sets release in April, ninjago (for Europe at least) is 2 months later. Hopefully promo bricks give us info soon, maybe ill set up a sacrificial shrine or something to them... -

Purely playing the devil’s advocate here, but I also feel like it’s super random that a magazine spreadsheet is the leak. I just think it’s way to “out there” as a source to be leaked. Like how does this even happen? Not sure how to explain it, but the fact that it’s a spreadsheet for the magazine just makes it feel off. Did it get included with someone’s issue? Is there an inside source who works on the magazines? Regardless, I’m happy it’s happened. Looks like we are getting some pretty cool and interesting parts as well. Now we wait and see! -

Ah, the GOAT himself. Gotcha. I’m sure it’s just a cover name for a much bigger leaker, but I’m glad we got it anyways. Thank you for clarifying, I’d say it’s an 85% chance they’re real now. Nothing is 100% when it comes to leaks, but this is pretty close. I’d say 90% is the cut off. -

Yeah I’ve got it saved, I tried a reverse image search to check if it was just a fan made project or something (somewhat unreliable, I know, but it’s better than nothing) I was asking as it sounds like he’s seen the schedule in hand, which would be quite the interesting development. -

Thanks for the info! Which reliable leaker was it, as far as I know there hasn't been a source for it, I know brick clicker picked it up but it leaked before that? Also you have seen the spreadsheet in person? I do hope this is all real, as with all leaks a grain of salt should always be taken, until we get something fully official from lego. But these designs look great and im excited to see the return of the classic ninja look! -

No descriptions, just the fact that they have them, and they won’t tell us a date for them. I expect the next week to be fruitful. -

They put it on their story. The descriptions are out there, it’s only a matter of time. -

I think that’s just the name, we’d know by now if there was a prelim pic out… -

Just watched the new brick clicker video, he shows a more extended look at the new figs that leaked, apparently they are from a magazine? It also shows crystalized garmadon, so if the figs are true I’m guessing this list is from some sort of database that is used to document what minifigs will be in the magizine, so that explains why these are concept designs and why the weapon builds are so elaborate. Can @Brick Clicker confirm if this is right? Or are we still in the dark? I do now believe that these figs are real, and honestly can’t wait. -

Yeah... wonder if it will be in the June catalogue, god I remember when that turned up on a 2 page spread and everyone lost it, what a great day. I hope we get that again. Hopefully we see some more leaks soon, someone said that we could get descriptions soon, so now we wait! -

I hope so, although ive seen people say that they are fake, the main part giving it away is the staff techno weapon, which I agree looks kinda off. I hope im wrong though. What a day to be a lego fan though, all the reveals! And goats! I'm somewhat disappointed however that we didn't see ninjago city market place, considering its a D2C.... Lets hope it pops up soon. -

Hope so, a certain Disney dragon just leaked through prelims, and apparently more are coming. Wonder if we can expect to see some Ninjago prelims soon? -

Jesus, I hope this is like the lego ninjago movie first wave MK2, thats what its sounding like. It will be a very expensive summer, especially as dreamzzz is also something im cautiously optimistic about... gonna prioritise the new city sector and then I guess some smaller sets and maybe the new bounty? Time for some saving... Always glad to see a new temple, ninjago always hit it way out of the park with temples, even the crystal king temple was alright. Still wondering how they will do this dragon energy core thing though. The 4 elemental powers flew off in the end of the season, and Lloyd still had his green eyes at the end. We know from a leaked still that Lloyd no longer has his powers, so my guess is a race or power quest to recover the lost elemental powers, and these new guys, want to take the power for themselves. I hope im right, this sounds like a very cool and interesting premise for a season. Did anyone see the "leaked" minifig designs as well? im leaning towards them being very much fake but id like to be proven wrong. if they are real, I love the design for the suits, they look suitably ninja like, the new characters look very nice, grappling hooks always a win, and that new tech staff looking weapon looks amazing! As I said, probably fake, but on the off chance these are real (thats a small chance, very small), I cannot wait till we get more info. -

in my mind its already confirmed, we have 2 corners and just 1 straight section, I dont see why we would get another corner section after just getting one. But we shall see. -

I think considering its promo bricks, its 90 percent set in stone (or bricks)! If it was anyone else, even falcon fan, I'd be somewhat sceptical. I'm also hoping now that this kickstarts a modular for ninjago every couple of years. Personally life has kinda been rough for me recently, but this seems to be the light at the end of the tunnel. I cannot wait. Another section, as a straight one as well, I'm so happy. This is the definition of a dream come true, and with my custom corner section almost done, this is shaping up to being one of the best summers in memory. Here's my design idea for a layout - I'm hoping we get a 32x32 baseplate that is pretty short, with 2 sets of markets, one on the pavement lower level and then a second level onto of a cliff face, and at the top of the cliff is a building and the second main level walkway. Connected to it is a 16x32 baseplate that has the cliff continued and another tower/temple shrine much like the canceled monastery of ice set. I hope we see more complex waterways and some more hidden spaces, and wow, I'm sorry im just too excited. I hope lego doesnt disappoint us. glad I can share this excitement with the others on this thread as well. -

Yeah, I’m on episode 8 so far, going through them 1 every 2 days. Episode 7 is definitely my favourite, great from start to finish, and the music at the end scene, god damn that was amazing! Somewhat disappointing that most of the sets don’t appear, obviously I’m hoping they show up in the special. Also annoyed that the azure lion only comes in the ultra mech, and Tang. My main hope so far is that we get a massive camel ridge castle set in the summer with all 3 demons, Tang, the (spoiler) new monkie MK, and maybe Sandy? Not sure what we could get for the other sets, considering sets are not really tied to the show. -

Just received my copy of the combi mech and team hideout, won’t be building them till next weekend but I’m extremely excited to see how they turn out! I’m on episode 7 of the new season as well, watching with English subtitles. I hope we actually see the team hideout soon as it hasn’t yet popped up…. Is there a time frame for when we get English episodes as well? -

The intro for season 4 just appeared, I'm expecting Chinese episodes to start dropping in the next few days. This looks so so good, the crew all have new outfits and powers, the combi jet is shown off (which I recently picked up and am yet to build) and interestingly enough, the main villains seem to be.... not villains? I feel like they are friends of the monkey king, but on-off sort of friends. They have a rouge look to them, but not evil. In one scene they are all laughing around the table with DBK and in another they are all facing some big bad that has 3 minions. The tablet scriptures also have a major part in the intro, forming long trails that wrap around the shots. The big bad seems interesting, I'm hoping we get him in the summer wave, along with the temple that Mei is in-front of in her new character shot. The last shot is them facing the ink demons, which seem to be the actual villains. Honestly I cant wait for this now, ive sort of fallen out of love with the monkie kid secret HQ (ive backordered it) but im hoping the new show will bring me back. This intro certainly makes me feel that way, I cannot wait! -

Hero’s sell better than villains. I’m more of a hero guy, I love crazy over the top mechanisms and vehicles, and unfortunately the villain side of things doesn’t often have both. I’m not too dazed by it but I’d like to see a bit more representation in the future. -
Lego Avatar 2022/3 - Rumors & Discussion
a guy from somewhere replied to Mr No's topic in LEGO Licensed
Agreed for the most part, I think they did pretty well covering it, only thing missing in my opinion is another MAKO sub style set for the RDA that has either a kestrel, sea wasp or a standalone samson build, a pilot, and 2 RDA troops and a navi. Throw in a star wars style weapons ground cart as a side build. Yes it’s a glorified military helicopter set, but given the prominence and the “cool factor” of them, I really think Lego missed out on giving us a decent set. It would be a good way to army build RDA and honestly I would have brought 2 or 3 over the time it was released. The samson is alright in the site 26 set but the link shack and floating mountains drives the price up, and the Sampson’s proportions are awfully stubby and tall, despite the pilot having to lie all the way down in the cockpit. -

Hope this isn’t the beginning of the end for this theme. I love it to death, despite the prices. Let’s also hope we see some more sets for 2024 when that comes out. -

the first wave hasn't sold particularly well as before the film they where on constant sale, after the film they are back to regular prices (damn it!) apart from the site 26, which isn't even on sale now, its just hard locked on £65 which im glad to see, I stand by the fact that that set is absurdly overpriced at £90 and is way better at £65. The new movie sets have nothing to note yet, apart from the fact that the Ilu discovery (the cheapest set) is sold out completely which im glad to see. Hopefully lego takes the hint that not everybody is made of money! if I had to guess, the sets underperformed, but not by much. Its like just below the threshold for continuing in the summer. Hopefully we get another wave in 2024, though I'd say its unlikely. -

Trans neon orange was confirmed to be retired in early 2021. This was because the red son inferno jet was meant to include a trans neon orange head for the bull clone and instead had a trans orange head. I’m also pretty sure some designers have talked about it being gone now in a couple of official and non official vids.
