In the US you can't see any of these new elements, so I can only assume you're all in on a cruel joke at those prices!- 5,898 replies

I've been through all the series 9 designs and in the end voted for 37 of them. On the one hand it feels like a lot. On the other, there are loads of options. Many good ones that I passed on because I felt there were better options. I also added votes for unique subject matters or really interesting looking builds, like Anatomy of The Human Heart, Exploring Highlands, and Winter Cottage. I would buy any of the ones I voted for. I'm hoping at least a couple come through. Actually, maybe I should hope that no more than a couple come through! There are definitely a lot of castles in there, but there is something that I think is even more prominent. Pigeons. It felt like every other model had a pigeon thrown into the mix!

2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]

I would have expected the Art Factory to be higher than that. Although there have been a lot of expensive Bricklink sets now and LEGO is producing a lot of expensive sets too. -

I hope the unicorn is a reasonable price, as it would be nice to get one of each. I saw the unicorn castle set in-person yesterday and it's so disappointingly small. Really not worth getting, but it could be that the prices for three unicorns on PAB will make it look more appealing. $2.32 pigeons $4.68 arctic foxes $5.17 wolves $1.51 tan puppy I hope the pigeons aren't horribly expensive so I can get one or two. Mostly, I really hope they will turn up in BAM towers so they're available much more affordably.- 5,898 replies

I went to the Disney Springs LEGO store yesterday. The BAM towers are now the newer circular tray designs (BAM plates, instead of towers?) and were a complete mess. It was mostly the three Halloween figures. But in the minifigure factory area they had a lot more variety of everything, but no torsos. In that area, they had some, but not a lot of the October parts. I was able to get one of each of the Dia de los Muertos figures because they happened to have them at the counter and the staff very kindly let me have them. No other torsos anywhere though, including in the back. They said that they would be getting six boxes of the 'Q4' figures today, which I assume are the Santa ones, but their system only said 'Q4'.

That would be nice. I don't know much about trains, but the Mercury Streamliner looks great to me, so would love one of those. Maybe I should figure out Studio, and MOCs, and trains, and try it! The lack of nice wheels feels a bit of a shame though, as that often feels like one of the more dramatic things about them.

DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
RichardGoring replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I don't see what all the complaining is about. LEGO Batman himself that he only works in black. And sometimes very, very dark grey. And gold. All gold. You know, for when it's a full moon, or something. At this stage, willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on the logo. It might be cool. Choosing two Batman figures seems like a mistake though. Let's see. Nice to see more variety in the $30 Batmobile line, but it's OK to spread it out over three years and mix up the sets a little. Real shame if they only include a single figure in each of them, although I suspect so for 'only' $30. -
That's quite a list. I started looking through earlier and decided to do it later, because I only want to mark sets I would definitely buy as 'Love it'. I noticed a lot of castles just in the first 50, but that list means about 25% of all submissions are castlemax. Quite incredible really. From the few that I saw, I liked that the new factions all seem to be available, giving much needed variety to the style and builds.

2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
RichardGoring replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I got it, and had the same checkout frustration with it failing, but an hour later it all worked smoothly. I think the build looks great, so really looking forward to it. Having said that, I still haven't built my Castle in the Forest set yet, although I am starting to make positive progress on my backlog at the moment. -
I've been trying over the last 30 minutes. I got to the checkout at one point and then it crashed. Now it's not showing anything in my cart, even though it says four items in the top right corner. Bizarre, although not a surprise. Embarrassing in 2025 quite honestly. What are you all going for? I'm still unsure on the Sequoia Tree Trail. I want to like it, but the trees feel just a bit too plain. I think viewed from a higher, more realistic vantage point they probably look better, but I've struggled to find reviews about them. I really like the gold mine and wolfpack castle, so definitely going to try and get those. Should the site work.

Rivendell's retirement date has been extended by a year to Dec 2027, suggesting it's still selling well. Not entirely surprising, but hopefully it helps steer LEGO towards doing more. -

It was on display at the fan media days. This video shows all of them and I've linked it to the alchemist workshop time stamp: -
Has anyone found a review of Series 6 Sequoia Tree Trail? I found a YouTube short and that's it. All the other sets in the series have at least one review on video or blogs. I'm not sure whether I like it, but given the scale of it, I don't know if the photos do it justice. There is something odd about the proportions in the photos that doesn't feel right, but the YouTube short made it look more appealing. I recently bought the General Store (for only $20 more than the original price, fortunately) as I regretted not getting it. I don't want to regret getting this one if it turns out to be good, but equally don't want to take up a slot if I just end up selling it.

I was hoping the Christmas tree costume from the City Advent calendar would be included.

I wonder if they'll do a forced perspective, like the 43232 Peter Pan set. The main gate is minifig scale, and then up through the levels to a nanoscale citadel. It would be hard to pull off in a satisfying way, but maybe the only realistic way of capturing everything. The speculation is fun. I look forward to seeing what they've decided upon. Edited to add: I really enjoyed building 43232, so I suspect the build experience would be good if they went down this route. -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
RichardGoring replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Not every set needs to be wildly successful on it's own. Sets like this keep AFOLs happy and focused on LEGO, rather than exploring other brands or hobbies. A short lifespan doesn't mean it still won't be viewed as a success if customers stay loyal, and they can track that through Insider points and manual scanning. -

Although Barad-dur is microscale from the outside. And they've used the interior space for minifig scale rooms. I agree that it probably can't be a pure architecture-style set though, with no figures or a simple display stand with nothing for the figures to interact with.
