  1. The reports on Reddit were January 1st, with spend of $200 on anything, so not tied to the modular line specifically.
  2. This is great. I'm doing something similar at the moment with stacked cabinet drawers and will then have compartments for pieces. Also considering getting a 3D printer and if I do, will make bins as you have done. It seems to be a really good way to optimize the space and sorting. Thanks for sharing.
  3. Ha! I ordered a replacement sticker sheet yesterday before finding out about the error. I wonder if I'll get the second or third iteration. There's a somewhat charming 'D'Oh!' moment about the first error which means I'd be tempted to keep it. The second one is just incompetence.
  4. I was tempted to use the replacement sticker as a small plaque on the figure display stand, but it looks worse. Maybe the third iteration, if it comes, will take its place next to the figures.
  5. Well quite. It's why I'd really like a modern style parrot, fish, and crab. They're very common, but really stand out against other animals. Frogs are so small that they don't bother me as much being in the old style.
  6. There is only one decent parrot in my world, which is 81376 I would love an updated mould to the more modern style with printing, eyes, and maybe more detail. Although I recognize that the current approach gives a cheap animal that can be included more easily in more sets.
  7. Pretty disappointing to call that a falcon. Even more disappointing that they didn't take the opportunity to update the parrot mould.
  8. That sucks, so sorry! I've just opened mine to check as I also saw people with mangled sticker sheets. Fortunately mine is there and intact (although the instruction book is a bit of a mess). Can't believe they don't have replacements for sticker sheets. That's just crazy. So sorry!
  9. Absolutely! Fair enough. They've done it well, although I wish it led to something more substantial. Still, easy to add something there, with perhaps a small food stall and eating area.
  10. And there is a photo of it with the new modular on picture 7 of the carousel. It's the same as the original leaked image, so it's definitely the real thing.
  11. I finished building the Balrog book nook and placed it. I have to admit, I didn't think it was a great build experience. The frame was fairly repetitive and the constraction figure elements of the Balrog are not my favourite. I really only properly enjoyed the body and head of the Balrog. But I've also been doing a lot of complex builds recently and really enjoying them, so in comparison this is fairly simple techniques. I like the finished result though. Shame that my Tolkien collection is the A-format paperback so sits a little short of the book nook height!
  12. Agreed, and would go well with the dark blue roof. However, they may be thinking about placing it next to the TC light blue haberdasher and wanting to avoid two sets of blue next to each other. Although the base of the TB pub is also a large green colour block, but it's dark green so maybe different enough.
  13. I was very confused looking at this in light mode with white text and not being able to see anything!
  14. Good spot! I have the original Diagon Alley and was tempted to sell those pieces, so this helps determine that I will in fact keep it and not go through the hassle. I also got a used (good quality) GG recently for $300. I wonder how much the prices for it will drop now.
  15. I heard that it was going to be on Pick a Brick on January 1, which is exciting! But they're going to charge more for it than the grey pigeon. $230 each, but if you order before June then each one comes with a free modular GWP...
  16. The use of white for the main building is lovely, especially for the contrast you get with the sand green base and dark blue roof, but in this render (and maybe in real life) it really highlights the gaps and to a certain extent the edges of bricks/plates that are touching each other. Also, there are lots of small gaps because they've got so many curves and angles. I suspect in real life it won't be as prominent, but it's certainly different from the flatter/more solid designs of others. The thing that keeps drawing my eye is the dark blue roof. I really like the idea of it, but it feels like it might be a bit small and that with it having windows, it should be a little taller to make it a functional attic space. I thought the same about the roof on Natural History Museum, which just seemed too small for the effect they were trying to pull off. At least they are consistent between the two and the scaling won't be off. And the dark blue dome feels flat. I wonder if it would be better as a more rounded dome. But overall, it's great. It's vibrant, full of life, looks like a great place to be, and the cut through alley might lead to something interesting at the back, perhaps a small courtyard seating area? If not, it would be a fun and easy think to add.
  17. White pigeon in the new modular, as well as a grey one! And an unprinted white kitten as a statue. And a rat.
  18. Love it! I suspect that the interiors will feel small, and the top floor attic looks to be really tiny, but the overall impression is great. Lots of techniques, angles, curves, and some lovely colour blocking. And a white pigeon, as well as a grey one!
  19. There's a Minecraft build version of the new modular on Reddit Legoleaks. It lacks fine detail (because of Minecraft blocks), and gives me mini Assembly Square vibes with the layout around a central courtyard. In the past these Minecraft build leaks have come a day or two before the official reveal, so not long to wait.
  20. I tend to use the legoleak subreddit, but pretty much everything is on Brickset now.
  21. Not seen any of those, but in the new City 'Rides' subtheme, they have a load of babies with helmets. Not sure if the helmet/head is a new mould, or whether they've used the spacebaby mould with air tanks. If they've reused that mould, then bright neon yellow, red, and lime green are all on the table for future space babies.
  22. New lime frog and reddish brown seal in the Friends wave and both a pink and light blue axolotl.
  23. There is also a trans orange version of the new fox thing in the Dreamzzz waves. Fire fox? Or do we call it Mozilla? And there's a trans light blue wolf in the Harry Potter Hospital Wing.
  24. The horse knight legs (x2) are both up for $0.67 in the US. 6538806 and 6538809. And light royal blue space air tanks for $0.15. So not everything is crazy.
  25. The really bizarre thing is that you can get a medium nougat version for $1.16, but the light grey version is $29.63. Ludicrous!
