Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
RichardGoring replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Elation followed by disappointment this morning, as I received an email from LEGO with a receipt. My only outstanding purchase is a PAB order, so it must have shipped! But then, the receipt is only for a single torso (and not a very interesting one). Looks like I'm in a similar situation to @karrit. It's quite bizarre. -
It may be that they are too new to be released on PAB yet? And PAB introduction of new parts may be delayed a little, given the upheaval they've been going through for the last few months? Hopefully, anyway.
-
Thanks! It's such a useful reference. That would be so disappointing if true. Although they do usually appear in Europe first, but only for a few weeks, so hopefully that's what's happening.

@kbalage has a video up on Racing Brick about motorizing the Wild West Train. Thanks for doing it! It looks great, and I'm thrilled that it was designed to work so well with motorization. My order went through, so looking forward to building it one day.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

That's worrying if they are cancelling parts. My outstanding order has the Nazgûl torsos and capes in it, and I'm really hoping they don't get cancelled. -
I can't believe how quickly those two are going. Should I order one?! I held firm on not getting the Forest Stronghold because it didn't excite me. These two are better, but not as good as Lion Knight's Castle, Medieval Town Square, or Castle in the Forest or Black Falcon's Fortress - all of which I have and none of which I've build yet. Right, I'm going to stay still and not get them. Thank you for listening to my therapy session! Really pleased that all five are funded.

I was shocked to not have any issues with the LEGO site at all. Not even a queue system! Ordered the Wild West Train and Riverside Scholars. So tempted by the Merchant Boat but I have the designer's Caravan Theatre from the MOC Pop-Up store which has a similar feel, and an unbuilt Monkie Kid HQ which is a large merchant boat type thing, so I just don't think I'd build this one. I may cave if it doesn't sell out. I will part together the siege tower, which is great, but I don't think I need the rest of the medieval stuff.

Ha! I totally missed the S. Yes, it was 'not a necessity'. Ha ha! Although as someone from the UK now living in the US, it does jar when I hear people here say legos. If you do, then I'll sue that you didn't force people to buy my brand of gold bricks. Good news about the delay, but it also means another month of BS and nonsense. Well, years, most likely, but oh well.

Err... have you just broken the forum rules most egregiously there?
-
Fixed it for you. The problem with tariffs is that you can't predict the end result, especially with such sweeping changes that are proposed. Even if LEGO does speed up the opening of the US factory (although full capacity is only supposed to happen in 2027), the cost of raw materials, the supply chain, and general inflationary rise that comes with tariffs are likely to impact costs in some form or other, so it's highly likely that prices will increase as a result. I just hope that it's BS posturing from Trump and that he doesn't actually go through with it. Not just for the sake of LEGO prices.

I got all the January BAM pieces I wanted, including four of the olive green mid legs to pair with the scout torsos from a while ago. But sadly, none of the newest February pieces in the San Diego store.
-
I saw that and thought it odd that no one else appears to have referenced in the leaks posts. But it can't be fake or a mistake, right? I still haven't managed to get to a LEGO store for the January ones yet, but I will hopefully be going later today. It would be great if the January and February ones were both available.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
RichardGoring replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Agreed. Also, The Highlander in Detective's Office is clearly a bar, but only has the pool table and darts board. I'd say this is also more of a nightlife setting. And then Parisian Restaurant and Boutique Hotel have eateries and bars that, while used during the day, would probably be more popular at night too. And while Tudor Corner is showing breakfast being made, it's also clearly a pub, so would be far more popular at night. All of these are more multi-purpose than Jazz Club or Palace Cinema though, and I wonder if they will do as many single use modulars in future. Might not bode well for getting a truly nightlife focused modular. I mean, the last single use modular was the museum, and nothing remotely interesting ever happens in a museum at night... -
Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion
RichardGoring replied to Momotof's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
If they do a GWP, a black rider and small amount of scenery would make the most sense. You can use the hobbits from the set as part of the play, so the GWP only needs one figure and a horse. Gandalf's cart should be included in the set, if they do it at all. Gandalf has to be included, and there is little incentive to getting yet another Gandalf in a GWP. -

Whilst not a strong disagreement, I think that the courtyard, tree, tower, and house at the top are iconic enough to work. Gandalf talked to Pippin about various things in the courtyard and they met Denethor in the house (if it wasn't for that scene, you wouldn't need the interior at all, I suspect). The courtyard is used several times around the madness of Denethor and the crowing of Aragorn. I really do think they could justify it and build a great model around this area. But yes, clearly the seven levels and the siege are more iconic, but it becomes extremely difficult to do. I hope they find a way. -
The official pictures of 71837 Ninjago City Workshops are up on Reddit. Lots of detail and functions. Pretty much all the rooms now come out as their own dioramas.

Even looking at this 10,000 MOC on Rebrickable, it feels like it's not enough pieces to do the full city justice, and I'd prefer to have the Citadel and King's House, with maybe a suggestion of a single wall, as it will allow the presence and detail of part of the city to come through. I'd hope that for $1000 it would come with a Gondor Army! But also: LEGO; Here is a $1000 Minas Tirith with Gondor army. Contains six minifigures. -
Easily! Just look up, and it's right there, along with all the other star ships warping around. Space, the final frontier...

And they're going to do a $1000 Death Star, so maybe the next $1000 set will be LOTR. Both exciting and exasperating in equal measure. What's the minimum cost you think a full Minas Tirith set would cost, that's not just a book nook or diorama? -
Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
RichardGoring replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yup. Certified crazy. Hope you enjoy them! I wonder whether these are priced with inflation taken into account. By the time they actually get shipped, it might be a reasonable price...
