It's because we're over the Hogwart's Express leak/reveal and we're back to discussing the set we all really want.

You asked him two questions: " You will no longer be in design lead? Damn who is gonna design Gringotts then?" His response: " the project is in very capable hands, don’t worry! ;) " could be to either question or both. It's all open to interpretation just like the responses he gave last year and the year before. I'm not saying we aren't getting Gringotts, I just think his answers are always worded in a way that are definitely non-commital. I know that two years ago when he was specifically asked about Gringotts in a video interview the answer he gave was nothing definitive but the look on his face definitely seemed to indicate that Gringotts was already being planned, kind of like the wink at the end of his typed response to you. So I think the written response was to your first question for the theme overall & the wink was to your second. It's quite possible he laid the groundwork for the design but others will actually execute the final build.

This is the way I read his response also. Some people try to read too much into everything any of the designers say. Just like last year when he said the later movies were too dark a lot of people translated that into we'd never see any sets based on the last few movies but look at what was actually just released this year.

This is really nice. I have to say that everytime someone mentions a set based on the Battle of the Seven Potters I keep thinking 7 identical Harrys with the seven Protectors/escorts and I think just no because I wouldn't buy a set with 7 identical Harry figures. This is something I would more likely buy.

Exactly my feelings. I would have expected more platform as opposed to an unnecessarily overly built up track that hogs too many pieces that could have been put to better use elsewhere in the build. And I really wanted at least the Hogsmeade Platform also for a set of this type & expense. The bit about the students in the robes is ridiculous for a set such as this. The students were never in their robes in Kings Cross Station. I remember one scene on the train where Hermione told them it they better change into their robes because they were almost to the station. Obviously the students wouldn't be in their robes in Kings Cross so the Muggles wouldn't know there were wizards about. I really like the set in general but the price tag is making me seriously doubt that I'll end up buying it. It was a stretch for me to go ahead and get the "Icons" set last year but the price was a bit more affordable and it replaced at least for me the need to get the previous Hedwig. I never bought the Micro Hogwarts because I much prefer the minifig scale sets so I can't justify the price for the Micro set. I still need to get the two female founders though.

It's a really nice looking set but I don't know that I'm willing to spend the money they will be asking for it. I'll need to actually see it built in person before I make a final decision. I would love to have the Minifigs though.

Not sure. Was the torso ever released with hands in that color before?

Just saw a picture of some supposed new Halloween themed BAM figs. A Scarecrow, Bat Boy & Witch. They look pretty good, hope they're real.

From the pictures I saw posted it looks like the Gray & Black dual molded legs are what was meant to go with the Falcon Torso. I grabbed a few of the peg leg pirate legs for some of mine for variety as well as the Gray & Black dual molded ones for the rest. I wish they had made something a little more special like the Black Falcon ones. I also got a bunch of the owl to go with many of the figures, a couple of the blue & yellow parrot, a few shields & a few other accessories I know are rarer or pricier from PAB/BAP.

I hate the boring gray helmet they supplied for the Falcon Knight so I chose other head pieces when I built mine at the BAM. I got some extras of the wizard, pirate tricorn, cowgirl & mad scientist hats/hair. I'll be using the Silver Metallic ones I stocked up on for my knights. I might even use some Silver Metallic legs on some because the dual molded Gray & Black ones look kind of boring to me.

That's the new Factory being built in Virginia that won't open fully until 2025. I don't believe they've even broken ground yet but should be soon. It's going to be a complete production facility, not just BAP. As TeriXeri stated above they did implement a new fulfillment area in the US warehouse a few months ago but that only handles the Best Sellers BAP.

Invites from who? What are your news sources? Where exactly is this new factory located since you claim to have been invited?

Where are you getting this new warehouse info from? Only thing I've heard about is a Factory in VA that won't be fully operational until sometime in 2025.

Finally found the BAM Magenta Bear & Spring Chick at the Disney Springs Store today, my store has been out of them the few times I was there. Also got a couple of the butterfly wings, some Flying owls, a few more Falcon Knights and a few odds & ends of other BAM parts including the Egyptian skirt piece. Both BAM Towers were out but one has no dividers in it so it was just two giant levels of everything tossed together. PAB wall was mostly 1x1 & 1x2 pieces, no larger plates or bricks.

My store had the Green Knight torso two weeks ago when I was there. They didn't have the legs in the BAM tower but they did in the Minifigure Factory Tower so I was able to get both parts. Luckily my store allows you to check the Minifigure Factory Tower if you are looking for something that's not in the BAM tower.

I was able to get the Polybag in my local Scheel's Store about a month ago. They are a chain of super sized Sporting goods/outdoors/clothing store with a decent Lego section. I've been back a few times since because I only bought 5 when I found them but I haven't found any since then. Forgot how many were needed to make all the different sections of the castle. Each bag has the same instructions unfortunately and there is nothing else on the Lego Website either. I know someone posted somewhere pictures or a video showing the different models that they figured out by looking at the pictures, probably something on YouTube.

I would expect that they probably filmed video of the Hogwart's Express reveal at the same time they filmed the bits for LegoCon. The set-up with the full train in the background is the ideal set for the release announcement. Don't know if that's the next reveal being hinted at though. Could be for the Advent Calendar.

It releases in September so hopefully pictures will start to show up within the next couple of weeks of each of the Advent Calendars contents.

What are the chances the Staircase GWP gets repeated when the Hogwart's Express is released?

Polybag isn't being added on orders in the U.S. The offer page says it is available for online orders this time but it isn't adding to the order. I've tried different combos of sets even making the order cover both minimum purchase amounts added together. Guess I'll have to call customer service tomorrow. So as of now my order just includes the Staircase GWP. Update: Just received order confirmation and it includes the Build Your Own Hogwarts Polybag GWP.

No such deals here in the U.S.. Only sale set we got was Hagrid's Hut.

It does take forever. It helps a little if the store makes the effort to keep the heads, torsos, legs and hair & accessories separated in the different compartments of the tower but most don't bother. The accessories are the worst because the good ones like the animals go quickly. I like to maximize value by trying to find the ones that command higher prices if you can buy them individually from the online PAB. Basic accessories like most swords, wands, scissors, the Friends style crown, Friends Hair Bow, party hat and most of the common hats are usually cheap from PAB or ones that you get multiple spares of in sets. I avoid those but there are always tons of them available.

The Bandmates I picked up did not conform to the published order. The ones I got were actually in the box in reverse order to what was posted buy multiple people online so I ended up with a bunch of figures I really didn't want and a few that I did. Also with the 6 pack boxes of Muppets figures I got three boxes of the same six but the order of figures in each box was totally different.

I wish they had published the alternate instructions. The review I watched they blindly built the alternates just by looking at the pictures of the other 7 builds.

Bummer on the BAM. Hopefully they will have better stock when I visit in a month. Was supposed to go last week but had to postpone due to illness. What's in his cup is pretty much like what is usually available in the PAB wall at my nearest store, there's usually lots of sand green parts so not just a Disney Lego Store thing. They rarely seem to get good stuff at my nearest store or it's already gone when I actually get to visit. Wish they would get rid of the orange cheese slopes already & get some different colors of the flower 1x1's & trans 1x1's.
