  1. They've been doing the same thing for years with a lot of their merchandise. I remember having a hard time trying to figure out what receipts to use when returning things going back years. It was always a nightmare finding the right receipt when I needed to return StarWars Action Figures because you can't match any of their receipt codes to the actual UPC codes.
  2. If it's minifig scale and motorized with track I'm interested depending on what else is with it. If it's a big non-minifig display piece I'll probably skip it because I wouldn't beputting it on display. The Icons set was enough of a big display piece for me instead of the other Hedwig. But a big blocky train is just not something I want.
  3. The order I placed the other day is showing they are waiting on restock of two of the parts I ordered that were showing at the time as available. Of course one is the reddish brown horse and the other is one of the two different base pieces they showed as available for the dementors. GRRR! Hopefully it won't take long for the restock. The parts I chose from the bestsellers part have already shipped. They are also showing my early March order has finally shipped but it's not showing in USPS tracking yet and I haven't received a receipt yet either.
  4. Where in Colorado? I haven't even found series 22 in any Targets near me.
  5. And the Advent Calendar & hopefully a GWP or two. We're 166 pages behind last year's thread though.
  6. I'm so glad I'm not the only one bothered by the previous constant rehashing of that unsubstantiated rubbish. Considering that the person who started it admittedly couldn't even verify his story due to losing his original notes or whatever it was really quite tiresome having it repeated by others as factual proof so many times over the past year. I can't wait to finally get to see the actual sets now that we've had our first looks. But I still have to get most of this year's earlier sets too. And I hope we are totally blown away by whatever the D2C is but I'm definitely rooting for it to be Gringotts even if my wallet isn't.
  7. Maybe we are also getting an interesting GWP soon that might include the leaked Tonks &/or Voldemort heads. Can't imagine what scene might include both of those but maybe one is in a poly bag & the other a bigger set similar to last years Gryffindor Dorm Room.
  8. I think it is important to the two scenes they've chosen to replicate it in. Even more that the Ford Anglia but I'm a bit biased against out of scale vehicles that up the part count in any sets. That being said I still don't think they've gotten the look of the Willow quite right yet.
  9. I like the Ministry set but I don't know if the earth green was really the best color choice. I get that they're trying to give us something other than shades of gray . Guess I need to rewatch the movies to see what color it appears in different scenes. Okay, after looking at a bunch of still shots it definitely should be green. Hope it looks less jarring in reality and they used dark red for the accents. Hope we can get those earth green 1×2 grooved profile bricks from BnP/PAB eventually.
  10. Guess I need to dig out the CMF one to compare to the pictures of the new one. I often have a hard time differentiating subtle changes. I first thought the dark bricks for Grimmauld Place were Black until I saw in another picture they were actually just dark gray.
  11. Crookshanks looks a lot like the one that was in the CMF but without seeing both side by side I can't be sure. While I would classify the Sirius's Rescue as this year's version of Fluffy Encounter it has some great parts in it. I love being able to get the spiral staircase pieces so it should be a decent parts pack if purchased on sale. The only one that's a pass for me is the Horntail. I didn't buy Hedwig or Fawkes either. I'm not buying any of those sets just to get the exclusive figures. My first look at Dumbledores office I thought the Madam Pince figure was another McGonagall because of the colors. Love the set but I wish it had a spiral staircase. I like that they didn't gratuitously stick in duplicate common figures in some of the sets. Since Snape is already in the Dumbledore set I can excuse them not repeating him in the Shrieking Shack
  12. The Baby Fawkes that many seem so impressed by is just a recolor of the existing small white or blue bird that already exists in many sets. I know we already saw pictures of it in an upcoming set from another theme that I can't remember at the moment. What other specific details are you looking for? The Rubber Duck in Arthur's office is the existing yellow one inside the clear dome piece. I just searched & the small red bird was first noticed in one of the upcoming Super Mario sets
  13. Reddish Brown horses are back in stock. It also seems like they've been shifting some items into the Best Sellers category that weren't there before.
  14. Boo if it's Brickheadz! Although it will be one less set I need to buy. Would be interesting if it was a set to add on to the Hogwarts Trunk so we could have more than one Professor.
  15. I hope not. Paying for the parts to create an unnecessary clunky base and a plate with a quote isn't something I find interesting or what I want to be spending my money on. While the actual scenes may be interesting the bases make the sets too expensive. And I personally have no interest in purchasing anything done in microscale.
  16. If the Professor accessory pack rumor is true I hope it doesn't include repeats of Dumbledore, McGonnagal or Snape as we already have plenty of those. Unless of course Snape is dressed up as Neville's Grandmother! And McGonagall in her tartan plaid nightclothes would be interesting.
  17. Haven't gotten the Hospital Wing yet so as of now: 1) Diagon Alley 2) Great Hall 3) Hogsmeade Village Visit 4) Chamber of Secrets 5) Astronomy Tower 6) Clock Tower 7) Whomping Willow 8) Attack on The Burrow 9) Hogwarts Express 10) Moments Herbology I haven't built the Icons Set, Chess set or Hogwarts Trunk yet. Don't own Hedwig, Fawkes or Hogwarts Castle (not into microscale but the set looks awesome). No interest in the Art Set or Brick Heads or the Big Figs.
  18. Unfortunately no new BAM parts in the stores I visited yesterday. The only newish parts I found were the Clown torso, torso & skirt for the Asian woman, Violinist torso, violin & the ice Skater torso & legs. The one store removed all BAM parts from the tower & filled it with the old friends chocolate box polybag. They had a few generic pre-built BAM 3 packs but nothing new . The other store now has the Create your own Minifig set up but no one was using it. Couldn't see if any of the newer parts were in there but they did have a lot of other better parts like the pink pool ring duck.
  19. Would be nice if they actually have them in the store I plan to visit tomorrow but they are usually way behind in getting the new minifig parts. But I can still hope!
  20. I agree that I'm okay with a several month delay as long as they do eventually release the parts to us. It would be really crappy if they decide they will no longer sell specialized parts separately but if they decide to go the route of only selling basic bricks but not anything specialized where would they draw the line. It seems they want to sell us individual bricks so to me it should be all or nothing with the only exception being what they determine are Licensed parts. But even there there isn't any consistency. You can buy the grills for some of the Mickey Mouse vehicles but not the minifig heads or a few other pieces. Harry Potter some torsos & even some heads but not all. Ditto for Star Wars. I do wish they would place low limits on how many animals and other specialized pieces one can buy upon initial release and slowly raise them over time.
  21. Looks like there are lots of parts now showing on the US website, over 12000. I didn’t actually try to place an order.
  22. There was a report/rumor somewhere that they were going to start doing weekly builds somewhere. I don't know if it was virtual or in store. Looks to me like they are recycling some of the old builds. I don't remember the Trophy one though.
  23. Have not seen any of the Valentine/Easter grouping around here yet. The only ones I've been able to get are the Cake Guy, Light Blue Prick Suit & Clown at the Disneyland Store. Hoping to find the others this coming Saturday but the store I will be visiting is usually way behind in BAM parts. I really want the Chicken Suit & Bear and the Butterfly wings.
  24. I've said it before. I can see a UCS Hogwarts Express if it is motorized and includes a detailed Platform for Kings Cross plus a full Hogsmeade Station Platform and the Viaduct and of course an appropriate amount of track. I think this is also another decent possibility.
  25. I really loved most of this series Started my acquisitions around the Christmas holiday when I first found a not quite full box in Kohl's. At the time I did quite well feeling for most of the ones I wanted to get before reading any feel guides. I think the only ones I missed that first time out of the ten that I wanted were the Alien and the Robot Repair Technician. I've since been able to find both of them and as of yesterday I think I'm finally done with this series including multiples of most of them. I did eventually end up getting one of the Wheelchair Racer because of the unique parts, it's definitely one of the easiest to differentiate when feeling the bags. I have to say that I think this is one of the best series so far since I started buying them. The amount of new parts especially the new animals was fantastic. For those interested, the only one I didn't buy was the Ice Skater and I also didn't get the matching female one from BAM. I think I've gotten quite adept at feeling the blind bags but I do occasionally mess up. I hope they never box these like they did with the Vidiyo ones.
