  1. Bummer on the BAM. Hopefully they will have better stock when I visit in a month. Was supposed to go last week but had to postpone due to illness. What's in his cup is pretty much like what is usually available in the PAB wall at my nearest store, there's usually lots of sand green parts so not just a Disney Lego Store thing. They rarely seem to get good stuff at my nearest store or it's already gone when I actually get to visit. Wish they would get rid of the orange cheese slopes already & get some different colors of the flower 1x1's & trans 1x1's.
  2. It does in the U.S.
  3. Unfortunately while it's a great idea I don't think this will work too well and will be very frustrating to those of us whose stores rarely if ever get the new stuff. A lot of people on the east coast & midwest have found the parts already but not every store. So unless everyone posts what they find & when at there local store I think calling your store to find out what they have in stock is still the best option. My nearest store is 1-1/2 hours away so I don't get to go very often as I have to plan a day long trip to hit both stores in my state. I'm not going to call them constantly just to see what they may have gotten in because it's not a trip I can make at the drop of a hat. One of the stores isn't even keeping up their BAM tower, they just have a few random built 3 packs of undesirable/common in my opinion parts hanging up at any given time. The Store I prefer to visit keeps things up pretty well but they run out of good new parts quickly so I often miss out. They are usually months behind in getting newer BAM parts if they even get them in. I don't know what the issue is with the employee who does the BAM & PAB ordering but I don't think it's the Store Manager that monitors the ordering for parts, one of her assistants does it from what I've been told. I've yet to see any of the Profile Brick with groove that some others have found frequently in their PAB Walls. I have occasionally lucked into a few interesting new PAB parts but not too often as they usually get cleaned out within a day or two of receiving them.
  4. I love this Castle but I'd really like to see them com up with a Castle that has Round Turrets made with curved profile bricks. Really wish they would make a brick or two in that style that have the profile of bricks in them rather than curved walls that get stickers on them.
  5. I've come up with a back story to explain why a lot of the knights in this set are female. The name of the set is Lion' Knight's Castle. So imagine if you will that the knights are all off somewhere with the King possibly defending his castle. This leaves mostly women holed up in the Knight's castle out of the way of the warring male knights. So the females have been kept away from the main battle and have decided to defend themselves in the Knight's Castle they are currently residing in. Note that several of the female knights up on the battlements appear to be archers which is more likely to be a way they might have been taught to defend themselves if needed.
  6. At the time I never thought about making any of the provided Knights females so no I didn't view the basic smiley faces as being interchangable in that way, I was going by the torsos & legs/slopes that were supplied with the sets to determine that none were female. What I hated was that there were no Princess or Queen Figures in most of the sets with the appropriate at the time dress slopes & obviously female torsos and female wigs. I didn't hate that there were no female knights just that there were no obviously female minifigures in the sets pre-woke culture.
  7. But the 3-in-1 Castle was a great build. I got it knowing this Castle would be coming. I'm just sorry I didn't buy 2 from Costco when they had them for sale at a discount.
  8. I think I'm going to swap horses when I build this set. I think the brick yellow one is better suited for the Queen's horse and I'll use the dark orange one for the Black Falcon knight. Personally I'm glad to see the mix of male & female heads in this set. Whether historically correct or not I hated that the early Castle sets didn't have any female representation. I think I only own one castle set with a female figure and it's a pretty lame looking figure. The same can be said for the early Pirate sets too. I don't recall any female figures In them either. Those were the themes I collected along with classic Space. And that jerk in the "woke" video is the prime example of why I detest "social media infuencers" and rarely waste my time watching any of that drivel.
  9. My order hasn't even shipped yet. Just got an e-mail today that they're working on it. Blaming "High volume of orders, taking longer than normal", yada, yada.
  10. I'm going to need several of these.
  11. I totally agree with this. I can meet the minimum very easily with sets currently on my wishlist. They aren't all sets I really want to pay full price for but when there's a GWP I really want like this one I can usually come up with enough to qualify. Hoping they stay in stock so I don't have to buy any of the Harry Potter sets yet as I'm planning to wait to buy those next month when the Harry Potter GWP is offered.
  12. Just need to know the minimum purchase requirement, actual release date and hope there are still sets available to purchase when the GWP goes live. I haven't bought anything other than the trunk so far this year waiting for the GWP to be announced.
  13. I know. It has at least 4x the wall that one of the stores I frequent has and a little more than double what the other one has. I make multiple visits when I'm there because they do sometimes get different parts in and if you aren't there at the right time you miss them. A few years ago I got a full cup of the green Limb Elements that were left over one day. They were gone next time I went in. I watched a family fill at least a half dozen large cups with trans blue 1x1 round plates another time. Wasn't much left when they were done. I've done much better at Disney Springs than the one at Disneyland. The Disneyland wall while pretty massive usually has repeats 3 & 4 times in at least 2/3 of their wall. I won't do the design your own minifigure, don't think it's worth it and my nearest store has one now with no waiting if I ever decide I want to do it. How was the BAM tower when you were there? Last year they only had pre-made blister packs that I bought too many of.
  14. Unfortunately the rabbit is white. I picked up a few polybags last week. It really does look light gray on the bag but the part inside is definitely white.
  15. I'll be at World too. Planning to hit the Lego store on arrival day and a couple of days later for my Birthday. Didn't plan a Park for Saturday so I'll probably end up back there again either before or after I attend the Sangria University @ Coronado Springs. I was originally planning to go in the morning but with the change of date for AFOL day I may go later although that might not be a good idea after the Sangria. Probably will make another trip or two to Disney Springs before I head home. They get frequent deliveries throughout the week so the PAB wall can change a bit from day to day. I usually end up with a lot of cups to bring home if they have decent parts available. Past experience has taught me that if there's a part I really want I need to grab it because it likely won't be there the next time if it's something really good. If I end up spending enough in one visit to the store to get the GWP it's going to be a very expensive trip overall.
  16. Me too! Are you going to World or Land? Thought I was going to miss AFOL day too until they changed it to July. I don't know what I could buy that would be enough to hit the GWP threshold but I don't want to have to pack it to fly home. I might have to place an online order.
  17. I'm not overly impressed with the description of the D2C Hogwarts Express. I think it's going to be hard to justify the $500 price tag. Will wait to see pictures but I'm seriously considering passing on this set.
  18. Noting official yet. I would expect the Build Your Own Hogwarts Castle polybag will be offered as an in store promo as the previous polybags have been. But these polybags do show up for sale elsewhere at least here in the US. I think past GWP's have usually been offered around when the big ticket D2C set gets released in the fall.
  19. Good to know but we did have those House Pennants in the first HP Advent Calendar. I wouldn't call those lame but definitely were disappointing since they were used for 4 different days. I don't know how some of you can figure out parts from some of those blurry pictures though.
  20. I think I may need to get the city one this year. I haven't bothered with it the last few years. There's also a cute baby reindeer and another small animal in the Friends Advent Calendar Picture.
  21. So far we can only vaguely make out possibly 7 or 8 of the builds for this Advent Calendar. I figure the Anglia & Whomping Willow could be two separate days. That still leaves 16 more builds we know nothing about. So I'm not giving up hope there will be some really good builds in there based off this one picture. Not a fan of the microbuilds in any of the Advent calendars but the previous Harry Potter ones have had their share so it's nothing new.
  22. If one is happy with just one each of the new animals it should be less than the $70 for the set. I've already amassed a decent amount of the regular size pigs & sheep so don't really need more of those. I expect the price for the cow to be over $5. Baby animals tend to go for around $2-3. Clueless if the fleece part for the sheep will be reasonable or not. I do hope all the animals become available through .com at some point.
  23. They should be available @ midnight in the US. As for the polybag I would expect it to be a GWP at some point when buying direct from Lego, possibly only with instore purchases as has been the case in the past. The polybag should show up at other retailers such as Target, Walmart, etc. for purchase at some point but there's no telling who will sell them or when.
  24. Glad it's finally back but the number of Out of Stock pieces seems higher than before they took it down. Hopefully this will improve for the better as time goes on and eventually some newer items will be added without losing any parts we are waiting for them to restock.
  25. Wish the Lego Store I'm closest to regularly got new parts for their BAM tower & PAB wall. It's too far away for me to pop in regularly to check things out. I did manage to find 1 magenta bear head the other day but nothing else good for BAM. They even looked in back to see if they could find any more of the spring parts for me. Apparently they did at some point have the three pack available at some time after my last visit in March and the other day. It will probably be months before they ever get the newest stuff in. The other supposedly busier store only has some pre-made 3 packs of random figure parts nobody want & the tower has been filled with the Friends Chocolate Box polybag for months instead of BAM parts.
