  1. Any chance that we will get an update in Quest #42 sometime soon? It's been about ten days since the Merman fight.
  2. If your enemy is Level 4, and you have one SP, instead of taking 4 damage, you would take just 3. Since you'll be fighting from the back row though, the damage you take is already halved 4/2=2-1SP=1 damage taken. So, yes, it decreases the power of the enemy's attack against you.
  3. Yes, smelling salts, meads, and nostrums are useful to just about everyone (besides Docken and Haldor ) however, they are costly and unless you're a rogue who can make quick and easy money they must be used sparingly and only when deemed very necessary. For a lower level hero, such as yourself, I wouldn't really recommend the smelling salts for a while because smelling salts are more or less a way to eat up free hits for your class at least, and you probably want to avoid attracting too many hits to yourself since you don't have too much health...just my two cents. Ranger's Quiver is useful for your character, but for levels 1-9 you can only equip one artifact, so you just have to see whether you want to take up that slot with an artifact that grants you +1 to power or perhaps one that offers SP, etc. The choice is up to you. All are useful. Hope this helps somewhat.
  4. I'm guessing the sneaky driver has the richies locked up in a suffocating box with windows so they can look at how close and yet how far away, freedom is. Nah! I think your way makes more sense.
  5. Can't say I read it critically, but I found it a rather enjoyable read.
  6. If Adam doesn't eat the pretzel, I attempt to force feed it to him. It's for his own good.
  7. "Oh, I see...he's sick or something." "Here, sonny, try a pretzel. the oil will lubricate your passage to aid with the secretion of all the toxic wastes, and the salt will purify your insides. ...Best news? It only costs 10 gold!"
  8. "I have a strange feeling that nothing important happened in the last ten hours," I mutter.
  9. Thank you, Boney!
  10. Wow! Quest #51 is already over and you guys clocked an amazing amount of pages in it as well. It was just 15 days or so. Insane! I have to say that I kind of like these short quests though. Nice one, CMP!
  11. I could never see Arthur as a Mystic Knight. Sorcerer all the way! Nightmares of WC 2010 coming back to haunt me!
  12. Darn it! You stole my idea out of thin air.
  13. "Seemed a bit early for bed, but what the heck! Off we go then." I twirl the wrapped steak in my hand and prepare to unwrap it, but then remember that it could be pretty useful left uneaten. I stuff it back in my cart. "Let me get a brew going. Who wants what? Coffee, broth, anyone? Or should we just get going?" Sorry, I've been very busy over the weekend so I haven't gotten online for a while.
  14. Wow! Arthur is really raking in the gold, eh?
  15. Checked out your brickshelf account. The ANNO 1701 MOC was about as far as I got, but I loved it immensely. Great work!

  16. It's been a while since I've hung out at the Historic section of EB, but I chose the right time to do so. Another fantastic update Maydayartist. Too awesome!
  17. I love those elves with the green hoods. They look fantastic! Will definitely have to pick up a Mirkwood Elf Guard set sometime!
  18. Sweet, sweet, sweet, MOC! Really, it's stunning. Do I have to add, "I wants it!"?
  19. Very nicely done. The bridge especially looks quite awesome, but it's all really good! Different greens in the tree and grass would have added more life, I think, but it's still great!
  20. Those were the only two quests put on hold, correct? Or am I forgetting one...oh, well more recently Khorne's quest has gone on hold. Which reminds me, I miss Siercon and Zark.
  21. For some I find it even more brilliant when a QM can make a balanced group of enemies against an unbalanced group of heroes, using just the regular stats. Maybe I'm just a purist in general. I have to say though, that Endgame's idea of using a hero's power against them is pretty brilliant though. I do think that the specials should make sense for the enemy with them though. I'm sure they always make perfect sense in the QM's mind, but sometimes to others they can seem a bit I guess I didn't receive the PMs, so I don't understand what the Oozelings are all about, but what kind of creatures are they? What makes them have SP? What makes them to cause SP to decay and what makes them mirror the strength of their attackers? I'm sure to Endgame all these things are very clear, but I'm always interested in these things. As far as the strength of the enemy matching the stats, I would say that if heroes are being attacked by vermin like rats, there shouldn't be insanely strong rats (unless they are that way magically ), but instead you have an incredible multitude of rats with varying strength, but none too exorbitantly strong. All that to say though, I think you're a brilliant QM, Endgame. Voracious Vault was a fantastic quest to go on. I think I especially liked the speed we did it in. I loved the party as well!
  22. Which reminds me, that quest was only put on hold, right? Well, it honestly didn't seem like the party were going to win it anyway. Although I haven't read it in a while so I could be wrong about that.
  23. Although the new enemies with SP, passive specials, and an inordinate amount of immunities are fun, sometimes I just prefer the regular good "ol' fashioned" enemies. Give them a Level, Special, and Health and they're good to go. I think the majority of enemies are still like this. Although, I have to say that I admire how Sandy made the enemies on the Unlimited Quest so fiercesomely difficult to beat without even giving them insane specials or passive specials/SP, etc. I guess every QM is different which is what makes Heroica interesting. ...I've forgotten what I meant to say be all of this.
  24. I think Endgame is the only QM who actually uses SP "heavily" for enemies. It's been a while since I read the Dastan quests though, so I can't remember if there were heavily SPated enemies there or not.
