  1. It is? I never noticed this.
  2. I think Pretzel came from Anno 1701. I was playing it a fair bit at the time and I loved the "Itinerant Preacher" who comes to town every once in a while and says his "Earn your salvation or rot in hell!...etc, etc" speech. I had ideas for characters under just about every class, but I also saw that Heroica had the fewest clerics at the time, so I went with that. I can't recall if I had already put together the minifig before that or if I did so after...
  3. I have a hard time understanding how "Defended Damage" differes from regular "Damage"? Isn't normal "Damage" the enemies level minus the defender's SP as well?
  4. Monk Pretzel suddenly finds himself believing that there is a place reserved for Guts in the Heavenly Kingdom after all. Of course, a little tithe never fails to facilitate the process.
  5. Rone is presently in the "Fields of Glory." Mizuki, Nagure, and Nerwen are all in Quest #52. Apart from that Horizon has only two posts thus far, but hopefully he will stick around. Zark, I don't believe, has been active since his quest was put on hold. L'Oreal Diablo has also not been around for a while. Many of the others are not particularly active in the hall, if at all, but would, hopefully, sign up if they see a new quest available.
  6. If the ones mentioned, these are the only ones who have been active lately, some you can't really say that. Of these Nerwen, Rone, Galen, and Mizuki are all likely enough to be over Level 15 or, at the least, very close, possibly Nagure and myself as well, but I kind of doubt Rumble Strike's quest will have up to eight battles, and I have an odd feeling that Flare will end the quest with me at Level 14 1/2 Horizon Sevant (played by Un1ted2); 26 years old male human , Level 1 Stigveladi ("Amma") Kötturin (played by PsyKater); 247 years old female dwarven Mage, Level 1 Jon Mcency (played by Skyrimguy); 53 years old male human Rogue, Level 7 Zark (played by Pharos712); 21 years old male human Barbarian, Level 4 Thalion Dwinlas (played by -obelix-); 213 years old male elven Mage, Level 5 Alexander Vandangant (played by Wedge09); 99 years old male elven Ranger, Level 3 Raven Ashcroft (played by Raven Brickroft); 18 years old male human Rogue, Level 3 Siercon (played by Siercon and Coral); ? years old male ? Mage, Level 6 L'Oréal Diablo (played by Adam); ? years old male ? Rogue, Level 3 Dreyrugr (played by Vash the Stampede); 1000 years old male vampire Rogue, Level 6 Lycan Dean (played by TheBoyWonder); 25 years old male werewolf Rogue, Level 8 Mizuki Kimura (played by Zakura); 21 years old female human Rogue, Level 12,5 Erik Tyrvarr (played by Myrddyn); 18 years old male human Barbarian, Level 12,5 Drake Flamerobe (played by xxlrocka); 29 years old male human Knight, Level 5 Galen Woodward (played by Fugazi); 36 years old male human Rogue, Level 12 Nagure (played by Costy); 34 years old male yeti Barbarian, Level 11 Monk Pretzel (played by palathadric); 463 years old male hermit Cleric, Level 11 Nerwen Calmcacil (played by Chromknight); 261 years old female elven Cleric, Level 14 Sarick Lanse (played by Xarrzan); 27 years old male naga Mage, Level 13,5 Burur Tormek (played by Avea the black sheep); 260 years old male dwarven Cleric, Level 9 Dyric Rone (played by The Legonator); 20 years old male human Rogue, Level 14 But, yeah, I guess it is still a decent amount of U-15s.
  7. Seems like the Manchester clubs are pushing ahead of the others. Will they end up on top again this season? The other top clubs are all slipping up seriously, but I still don't think the Manchesters' performances are stable enough to make me think that they will hold out. I guess we'll see.
  8. Was hoping to take a team of newbs out, so to speak, but I didn't realize how darn long it takes to build the MOCs I need for the quest! My collection of Lego bricks is not great and mainly 2 x 4 red bricks so I'm working with LDraw. I think my MOCs are too big, but it's fun making them. However, the length of time it takes to make the MOCs means that I have to do most of them in advance so I won't need to hold up the quest for ridiculous lengths of time.
  9. Happy birthday, Rick! All the best!
  10. So...who killed the monk? Come on, out with it!
  11. "Finally, got rid of those two," I mutter. We move on in the direction Erdy had marked out.
  12. "Indeed, I think I had hoped for a more youthful companion, but not this kind of youthful...you know, I was thinking someone a bit more like Eric, who could actually damage an enemy. Of course, Eric did seem more of a thief than anything else. But I honestly doubt this fellow will prove much better, but we'll see. You should have seen the teams I had to deal with in my past quests. First quest was a nightmare group of us. Benji the fantasizing, more absent than present elf, Leo the knight who thought he knew enough about religion to actually argue coherently about it, Daxus, the thief, and this she-Barbarian. I forget her name. She was the worst of them though, very disrespectful, and Leo and Benji were head-over-heels over her. The team I led in my last quest were much better folks in general. I had two of them thieving rogues. Daxus was there again, but he had shaped up a bit. You know Mizuki the female rogue? Or Erik the barbarian? Not to be confused with Eric the vampire-lover. "I think this is our best option. Let's be on our way. Off with you Eugene!"
  13. Agreed. Unfortunately, both my camera and computer conspired to not be working just when I need them most. Was hoping to at least get in a LDraw entry, but my hard drive has failed...again!
  14. "Oh...your talking about "absence" led me to believe that you were formerly "present." "Ah, well, I'm sure you want to find out what's been going on. Basically...we're working for a doctor who wants us to get all of these different ingredients...actually, maybe I'll let Erdy tell the story. I fell asleep when the doctor was talking...she is the acting party leader after all, now that the ol' vampire lover is gone. Heh! I wonder what he would have to say if he had seen this thing." I tap the steak against the cart, before wrapping it carefully and storing it therein for safekeeping.
  15. "I've always been told that I keep a rather youthful appearance." "Yes, I fought then. I am Monk Pretzel, I never lie."
  16. I stare in almost disbelief at the steak thrown to me. "You're a good sort, water man. This is the weapon I've always looked for but never found. I'll be able to give that vampire that trolling Heroica's hall a good whack or two...not to mention the other devil. "Sir, is right, Sonny, although I am hardly addressed by that title nowadays. It's been a long while since the orcish invasion, when I was last fought in such a regiment as to condone the use of such a title. Since then I have taken to study and tutelage. Not to mention the duties of God, which I have given my life to. "With age, indeed, comes experience, I am not certain you have a great deal of either behind you, though. We have yet to see." I turn to Erdy? "Where to now?" I query. I then frown. The merman has gone by now, I guess... "If we had just fought the merman, we would have partaken of the steak, and been able to gain greater experience from the battle. I have never battled against his type in the past, as far as I can recollect, it would make for a good experience, I'd wager."
  17. How does the steak actually work, Flare? It instantly kills vampires on a hit roll, or it just instantly kills vampires as soon as the fight begins?
  18. "That figures. I should have known that he would go for that graven image, being a heathen and all. Between you and me, I'd rather he takes it. Wouldn't want it to bring a curse on us...you know how these things can be. Mr. Merman, any chance you could hand over that steak of yours? It does look rather delectable." "Oh, and Water Man, I'm still offering you the rotten hand if you will. It really is very powerful you know...used correctly. It suits you!"
  19. Unfortunately, I will have to pass this time around. Timing is bad and I'm already staying up too late at night without Mafia. Hope this game is great though! Will follow it to the best of my ability.
  20. Well, I've learned one thing: investigating is useless in bloodbaths, Shadows doesn't like it. Kill, kill, kill!
  21. Umm...I thought Combrys wasn't upgradeable... Looking back though, there was talk of it, but I guess you decided to keep it unnerfed in the end. Hmmm...thankfully it comes back down to base WP after each battle, otherwise it would really be a monster.
  22. "Playing around!" I scoff. "This is a genuine offer and one of possibly great value to him. Think of the benefits? It may not seem advantageous to us, but to him it could mean the world, or the water beside it, but nevermind all that. I had thought to possibly give him a paralyzing venom, since it will help him in case he is ever outnumbered again. He could paralyze a couple of his enemies and then take them out one at a time instead of attempting to defeat them all at once. I'm just not sure what such a being will do with such a powerful poison."
  23. "Here, try this 'Magic Viper Skin.' It's fantastic, I tell you. You'll love it. It'll restore your health when you're lacking it...hmm...actually, I may get a good price for it in the market..." Suddenly, a new idea comes to mind. "That's a thought! Hey, mister, I've got the perfect gift for you. Check out this ol' hand that I found down yonder. It's fantastic, really! It doesn't look like much from close, but really, the greyness of it causes enemies to believe that it's enchanted. You will be feared all throughout the country and no one will want to mess with you. Just think, they won't even want to come close to you...the enemies that is...I heard it's really popular with the ladies, but I wouldn't advise that you try it out on them for another few hours, until we are far, far away from this place. You know, it takes time for the...effect to properly transfer from one owner to another. So, what do you say? Is it a deal? Steak, please!"
