  1. "You don't seem to get it!" "This steak will do nothing against the bunny while he's on his guard, and if I go down then the steak is lost and none of you have a Phoenix Essence. Of course, I hear Erdy has means of restoring the unconcious, but still...I'll wait to see what she suggests."
  2. "What should we do about Bunnicula's defence? This ol' steak will never get past that shield of his. I don't know if it's worth it for me to attack him with my rod or if I should just wait for his shield to lower. It wouldn't be such a great idea to take a free hit from him.
  3. I'll try it out. If it works, no wonder my old renders didn't work. They were done with 16 x 16 plates.
  4. He actually looks really good. Nice work!
  5. Great, thanks! I have been awaiting this. It does look a lot better! My tryout rendering of several layers of trans-blue using the non-clear LGEO pieces, didn't turn out great: Although I have to say that rendering time was reduced dramatically.
  6. Reread Quest #27? We can probably consider Galen immune.
  7. Thanks, hrontos and C3POwen, will try with non-"clear" parts and see if I can reduce the rendering time sufficiently enough to make it worthwhile. Otherwise, I will just have to go with a solid blue colour, I suppose.
  8. I strumble to the ground, missing my foe. He is on to me in a moment, rising up I trip and fall back, still managing to strike out at Bunnicula from the back row. Customizer, I'm not sure if I should continue to strike at Bunnicula. It seems to make more sense to not put ourselves in danger, but alternatively, I could hand you the steak while Adam strikes at him from the back row, since you are lucky and I have our party's only Phoenix Essence, but I understand if you think this way makes more sense. Also, Flare, are the bats vampires? As in, would I be able to take them out with one hit of the steak, or not?
  9. Good write-up of what I've read so far. Couldn't read the whole thing. Have to get to bed. I have to disagree with this, though: Although, in theory it's great. I think practically speaking it doesn't quite work out. I think it's over-used, not necessarily in Heroica, but just in storylines, movielines, etc. No examples coming to mind now, but it often just seems to be a thing in movies that's done to slap together a sequel. I guess I usually don't like sequels in movies which is maybe why I feel this way. I'll be thinking more clearly tomorrow...I think.
  10. Having said this, I feel bad for Mizuki. Guts and Sorrow have been stealing all the Shield rolls, and, I belive, she hasn't gotten a single one this quest. Sometimes I think Dyric is the unluckiest lucky hero.
  11. I wouldn't put the rogues so high. You want to roll in the cash for those nostrums, smelling salts, and meads you bought? Sorry, there's no enemies left!
  12. I have to agree with you on that. Rhodus was a lot more the way that I think he should be in this quest. In 36 he bordered on being civil. The "torture chamber" if you will, was interesting, but I think such things are always more interesting for the heroes on the quest then those more casually looking on. The party actually "needs" to worry about failing the quest and whatever.
  13. I think that's one of the factors that made Quest #36 so great. When Rhodus appeared in this quest though, I don't think it had quite the same effect. You know, he had been beaten by a team of heroes before, so in the back on my mind I guess, I was kind of thinking that there's no way that this team of heroes will not be able to beat him. I think that's the problem with having enemies "come back from the dead" or whatever, unless they're undead, which can make thinks trickier for the heroes, it sort of feels like a "been there, done that" situation. That's one of the great things about Wren as well. She's never actually fought the heroes, so there's still that fear and anticipation about if she ever actually does, what her stats will be like, etc. I think that was one of the letdowns of Capt.JohnPaul's last quest. We had seen the Fantome beat a higher leveled group of heroes, so to see him fall to a weaker group just doesn't quite sit right. Of course, I understand that CJP had to work with the heroes he had available and there was no way that he could raise the Fantome's level and health to what it had previously been, considering the team against him, but, anyway...nice guide Endgame.
  14. For some reason, I thought Adam regained his health at night. I clobber Bunnicula from the front row with my Steak. "This had better work. I don't trust that merman one bit, and I hope he didn't rip us off." Not meant to give you ideas, Flare. "What an odd blend a vampire rabbit, of all things. I wonder if the bats are vampires as well."
  15. Is there any way to make transparent less tasking to render? Trying to render water in an image, but it seems that for any decently-sized body of water, transparency is an absolute no-no.
  16. Enjoying Sorrow and Guts little argument.
  17. Yes, welcome! It's fantastic that quite a number of new people have been coming lately. It seems I will have enough U-Level 15 heroes to take on a quest next year.
  18. I could be wrong, I know there was some discussion about it a long while ago, but I believe that a scroll "miss" does not deduct ether.
  19. Something I'm wondering is why does William have the Amulet of the Elven Horse Rider in his equipment, when more likely than not, he won't be attacking from the front row anyway. The Lion Knight Shield should be useable by him, since he's a ranger, and I would think he would wear the Chimera Armor and Pauldrons as well instead of the Amulet.
  20. I check the bunny ears "white thing" for traps, and the surrounding area as well including the yellow flowers and the bush.
  21. "Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz," proceeds from Pretzel as he trundles along. His head droops onto his chest. I don't know why I write in third person sometimes, and sometimes in first, it just seems to be right somehow.
  22. "You know, I have a feeling that we passed the 'Place where the Power Trees Grow.' You would think there would at least have been 'Pieces of Dirt that could Save the Universe' for us. I dig with my Magical Shovel.
  23. "That's no way to treat your superior! Back in line, unless you want a wallop with this steak I got here." Thankfully, though, Pretzel leaves off his vain persuit. "It seems like we've been walking for days!"
