  1. @Attika Thanks for the detailed description, your approach has always been deeply worked out. How nice it's to read technical calculations, and not just squeals about how bad things are with Lego. And welcome back!
  2. I would hate to see BuWizz 2.0 ever taken off the market. Because many people still have a lot of PF electrics, and they will have to update the control units over time. Even if demand is low for a while, people will continue to buy BuWizz 2.0 as long as they have a PF electrics (I recently bought myself a few more control units 2.0). I would even like to see BuWizz 2.1 released or something like that, which will be an improved version of the previous 2.0. It would also be possible to add high-capacity replaceable batteries, so that two BuWizz motors could be connected to one BuWizz control unit. Or if one BuWizz 2.1 had 6 PF connectors it would be very good too. Considering the above, that the new PU motors have more sensitive protection, I personally don't yet see any reason to switch to a new Lego electrics at all. Because it is also more cumbersome and does not have parallel connectivity, which is very important for me. Probably, the new PU electrics is good only for those who have just started deal with Lego. Perhaps my imagination is completely played out now. But I would like to see further development of the motor series from BuWizz's side. For example, a high-speed motor in the form factor of an old PF L-motor. And also your own servo motor, maybe it would be an improved version of the PF servo motor.
  3. @Sariel Thank you! Yes, my daughter is 12 and this set will be bought for her. For my baby. Grown guys build real cars. For some like me toys may remain a hobby, but I will not go to war with Lego because the word "trial" was written on the toy box and it cannot even win the Dakar rally.
  4. I think 18+ is just marketing. And the set under discussion is marked 12+. I thought you were older. Yes, these are toys for children. The fact that adults play them or build their MOC doesn't change anything for children.
  5. @Sariel Hehe. Lego toys are primarily made for toddlers, not for AFOL. Did you get hooked by the advertising word "trial"?
  6. @Maaboo35 Okay! Yes, I'm aware that its large size can be used simply for attaching other parts. But in fact XL was not really needed there, because I assembled 42099 on an old PU electrics, using PU L-motors (red on photo below) and I didn't have any problems with body stiffness or something like that.
  7. Yes, with all this, L-motor is more compact, so I'm even glad that Lego no longer uses XL themselves, as was the case in the 42099 crawler. Oh stop. I'm not involved in this.
  8. Obviously Sariel specially chose unequal rivals in order to kindle a wild shit here and it will definitely be here! The HOT! sign is already on, but I will not participate in this.
  9. @GerritvdG Thanks! Filmed last night instead of finishing another project. Hehe.
  10. The beast. Despite the slight external differences, inside it has been completely redesigned (again).
  11. @keymaker Thanks for calming me down, I didn't think about the actuator at all. Yes, the question of the ratio of the mass of the MOC and its detailing is always very relevant. It's good that you managed to build a lightweight model without sacrificing its appearance. Although 1.55 kg is already a significant weight, if it were closer to two kilograms, this could already have a strong effect on functions. Damn, I really really like your truck!
  12. I really liked the external design of the axles with adjustable shocks and the openable doors of course! Thank you for making this Instruction free! "L motors are connected to planetary hubs without any reduction". It seemed to me that something crunches when riding uphill under load? These are not planetary hubs, are they? In my experience, one BuWizz for 3 L-motors may not be enough. I noticed that if you connect more than two L-motors, the BuWizz can sometimes go into protection mode. Front and rear axles interchangeable? I noticed in the video that sometimes you have both axles turning, perhaps you can use 2 L-motors for the drive and two M-motors for the steering? This is a cool feature!
  13. @TechnicRCRacer I have noticed that Lego has been adding new parts to the sets recently to make it in demand. Are the reinforcements on the part really needed here? It's just that the old part didn't seem to break, I don't remember any problems with it.
  14. Oh, I laughed out loud while reading this! How do I agree with you! Definitely someone trolled someone there in Lego. Here wrote above that this is an older version 2020, blah blah... And who stopped them from making a 2021 Ford Raptor in dark blue with a good design?
  15. @Bartybum I still have a question, why Lego posted these photos, they are also laughing at us now, or is this trolling from their marketing department? What?? I wanted to buy orange, but now I definitely won't do it. Maybe I'm reacting or looking stupid, but at least on the same level as Lego marketers.
  16. @1gor I'm talking about another part, it now looks as if it has bevels (or strengthening, as @Maaboo35 wrote). But why?
  17. A picture with bottom view could be the proof
  18. One wheel drive? Is there a differential?
  19. Can you please tell me, maybe someone knows. Does anyone have Fisher Technic tire parts for Stud.io?
  20. Probably so they wanted to say that when the HOG rotates, in addition to the wheels, the steering wheel also turns (but it doesn't even turns, right?). Or there could be no HOG, for example. Dumb advertising. Or else the wheels could only turn to one side.
