  1. Will Ninjago D2C leaks happen the same time the new season leaks, or are they two completely separate categories.
  2. The winners of the Harry Potter Ideas contest came out today. Thought the grand prize was well done!
  3. When should we expect leaks for the D2C January sets?
  4. Such a beautiful set in my opinion. May have to grab it at some point before it retires. Not really a set for me but the build and price are persuading me.
  5. I’ve used Light My Bricks in the past and I will say, despite the high price tag, they are by far the best lighting kits on the market. Super well made and easy to follow instructions. Other lighting kits I’ve used have felt so much cheaper. I totally recommend LMB if you want to make DA a serious show piece. I’m probably going to do the same but not until Gringotts and other expansions come out.
  6. When should we expect leaks for Ninjago D2C's?
  7. With Sesame Street being November 1st, we can expect the next Ideas set in January. I believe the next set number and price is $150, which is most likely the Blacksmith instead of Winnie the Pooh. Do we know when Hogwarts Castle is retiring?
  8. The only reason I get frustrated when awesome modulars are posted on LEGO Ideas is because they can’t share instructions/stud.io files until after it’s over (which is a long time). Aka Brickybrick please share your Chess Academy idea!
  9. Man I am so excited for 2021 LEGO! I’ve only been active since May 2020 lol but too much to be excited about. January alone there’s Gardens of Ninjago City, Lego Ideas Blacksmith, first Harry Potter winter wave ever. Then quickly followed by one of the bigger HP summer waves yet. Also I applied to work part time at the local LEGO store here since composing has been a little less active due to COVID. That employee discount could be quite useful
  10. Yea I’m going to go for it. It goes on average for $560 currently, and it’s only going to go up from there. Predicted 2021 value of $660. And with City Gardens coming out I think it’s going to make them even more valuable. Will keep it sealed for the mean time, however, so in a way it’s really just an investment but in LEGO currency instead of $$$
  11. That’s out of the country though without shipping. Shipping would cost another $80-$150. Brick Economy has it at $368 market value currently. I’m honestly lucky I found Ninjago City at $500. You can’t find it cheaper than $560 and that doesn’t include shipping. Edit: Also to clarify, these are new and sealed, not used. I agree the prices are insane but that’s Retired Lego sets for you!
  12. Oh you wanted to buy! I’m trying to buy sorry that wasn’t clear haha
  13. I would go $370 for docks. Grabbed Ninjago City for $500. Also depends on shipping
  14. Hi @JintaiZ! Actually just grabbed a Ninjago City here in my city. Still looking for docks though if you have that. Thanks :)
  15. I’m so conflicted, someone is offering Ninjago City for $500 in-person, which is a great price, but not really in my budget right now. Don’t think I’ll ever find it for that price again though. What to do what to do...
  16. That’s really clever and fun haha thank you for the explanation! looking at Destiny’s Bounty, which has the movie and legacy versions, I feel the movie set is much bigger/more detailed. Is there a reason for this besides it being more affordable? I prefer the movie sets and hope Gardens is in that same realm, which I’m sure it is with the huge piece count ?
  17. I’m new to Ninjago, really only interested in these D2C sets. Is there a quick explanation about what Hands of Time/Legacy/etc actually means? I know the movie didn’t do too well in the box office so I’m assuming they just started a new canon that was separate from what they started with the movies?
  18. Is it confirmed that the Gardens of Ninjago City is an expansion to the 2 movie sets? The only thing throwing me off is that it’s part of the Legacy collection. I don’t have the other two sets, though I would love to have the full city. Don’t want to pay the retirement tax though just to find out that this Legacy city is a whole new thing.
  19. I have PayPal as well as some unopened rare sets (Chinese New Year Dinner 80101 and Temple Fair 80105 and Star Wars Rebels Tie Advanced Prototype 75082). Looking for NIB if possible!
  20. Wow, will 2021 be the best year for LEGO Harry Potter ever? Sucks we have all this news and we won’t know specifics for so long!
  21. The thing is, if Gringotts included shops with it, it would probably have to be 2 shops to keep the set symmetrical. The dream, for me, would be to have Gringotts for the end, then add 2 16x16 baseplate shops to add to each side. Then we could have a 3 building/side set up with Gringotts connecting everything.
  22. Yea, the more I think about it, the more I just can’t fathom how Gringotts alone could be $250. To compare, Assembly Square is $270, and that set is massive! Maybe if it is Gringotts + a couple other shops, but Gringotts alone seems like a $130 set.
  23. So with Gringotts we’ll have a nice down-street view with two buildings on each side and then Gringotts covering the back. Now I just wish we had something resembling Leaky Cauldron on the other side.
  24. I honestly think people are looking too much into the Knockturn Alley expansion. It wouldn’t make sense for the display, and the sign that’s part of the DA set is probably just a nod to the street with no expectation of adding to it. For $250 do you think the Gringotts could include one or two extra shops? Perhaps Madam Malkin’s and Eeylops?
  25. “They will definitely want to sell Gringotts separately so more people can afford it who don’t want to buy Diagon Alley” Sells for $250 Bigger the better for me, and I’m totally happy that we’ll get a deserving Gringotts, but sucks for the people who wanted something affordable Honestly, I am so excited for that set. Diagon Alley as it stands now doesn’t feel quite there yet in my opinion. It definitely needs a bit more to display better.
