Starting to realize that unless you’re a popular license or a super original idea, there’s no chance you’re getting approved. It’s such a bummer seeing so many cool sets knowing it doesn’t mean anything in the end.

Don’t know if this is allowed, but if anyone needed music for their LEGO Ideas animation for the Medieval Contest, I would be glad to provide some help. I’m a film composer that writes a ton of orchestral music. May give your animation a more professional feel :)

As someone who’s only into Ninjago for the City sets, I would love to see Lego explore more action adventure themes if we could keep the Ninjago City modular line going 😌

Man I would love to have an entire modular line in the style of this Blacksmith. Include a super detailed castle alongside more village buildings like this and you could make an awesome town.

I think it’s been mentioned elsewhere, but does anyone else think the odd omission of the Wild West theme almost confirms that the Brickwest Studios Ideas set will be approved in the next Ideas review?

All I want to know is what the results would be if the final vote was between Space, Castle, Pirate, Bionicle. Just give Castle a fair shot :( Better yet, just make a high-fantasy modular line ala Ninjago City. I will love you forever, LEGO :)

I hate that everyone is considering the blacksmith a substitute for Castle stuff. Like besides the fact that they are both buildings, there’s nothing remotely similar between a blacksmith house and a castle. I think it’s quite a slap in the face if LEGO thought one blacksmith set satiates the clamoring for a castle.

Sure, but yea LEGO is the one to blame here, having one theme celebrate their history is absurd. Honestly, Lego Ideas is a better celebration of their past than what this is shaping up to be, given it turns out how their description says it will. Still think they have time to change the rules a bit.

Seriously Bionicle, Classic Space, and Pirates are the 3 LEAST exciting themes for me. We literally just got a pirate dream set, Space is done to death, and Bionicle is...Bionicle. Disappointed but whatever, guess I should just go in knowing the set isn’t going to be for me.

Well, after seeing some more videos, I think I have been convinced that the best way to display Ninjago City is Gardens on the left, docks in middle, City on right. This way you can keep all the balconies without having to shift anything around. Only worry I have is that my lighting kits won’t look as nice with the side of City that is being shown. We’ll see what happens though.

Damn I’ve honestly never seen so much criticism for a set before. I mean I get Ninjago City is one of the greatest and most-loved sets of all time, but like I think this one is pretty good, ya know?

People are seriously voting for space? We have so many space sets and a literal classic space set reimagined. Why would we use this opportunity on yet another one. Which castle theme are we all rallying behind? I feel like there are such little difference that all the castle votes are going to be spread out and none will win.

I can’t wait to light this up. I already have the lighting kits for City and Docks. Just gotta wait for LMB to make some for Gardens.

Wow the front, and especially the back, look so much better when you take the temple out and put it on the other end of Gardens. There you could definitely MOC it up a bit with spring lantern festival and you get wayyy more room. Makes you wonder why they put the temple there in the official set.

These sites like Brickeconomy are always outdated. These sites say Ninjago City is worth $570, yet in the US you will not find anything less than $600 for a new in box set. Docks has risen significantly as well. Would love for someone to show me a direct link to a new Ninjago City for $570

To be fair I don’t think anyone has shown all 3 sets together besides Lego’s official pictures. Most people are taking their sweet time building it
