  1. Can you show me where right now you can buy those at that price? I’m talking NIB as well. I find the sites that just say how much they’re worth are outdated. Looking at BrickLink/eBay/etc they have all risen significantly
  2. I agree mostly, but I actually think the Gardens has the most satisfying color scheme of the 3. That initial leak made to colors look neon and a bit gross, but the final set is going to give the City much needed color. I absolutely love the yellow and green Edit: Has anyone been following the Ninjago City/Docks prices? I bought them in November for 500/400 respectively. Now the lowest you can find either is 700/600. Like that’s an insane jump in just a couple months.
  3. A lot of the early builds of the set have it on improperly. You can see things kind of slanted and not fully connected. Reminds me of the tree house, which is another set I find doesn’t hold together particularly well. just waiting for people to finish it and show all the different angles with the other sets
  4. Actually fun fact, two guys from my Film Scoring graduate program at USC (University of Southern California) did the music for Ninjago! Jay Vincent and Michael Kramer. When I was there a couple years ago we had a chat with them and watched some of the clips from the show showcasing how they approached the music. This was all before I got back into Lego though. I’m sure if any of you had any specific questions I could reach out to them :) we have an alumni discord Also someone let me know when we see all the city sets together without the Temple in between the docks and gardens!
  5. @Merlo I agree with you. Having multiple sets that just have the same layout as Ninjago City would be boring. Docks adds variety to the modulars that I think looks really nice, especially with the Gardens now a part of it.
  6. Yea lol got them a few months ago
  7. Damn as excited as I am for the set I probably won’t get it until February. I mean I haven’t even built the other two yet + Spring Lantern Festival which is what I’m doing this week. Once I have room where the City/docks are in my closet I will go grab this. Can’t wait to see everyone’s pics!
  8. Yea I personally wished they took the back of Gardens and made that the temple. Then you could have all kinds of overgrowth intertwine between the buildings. Instead we have a Ninjago City with an added temple thing that’s completely separate and looks out of place
  9. It’s funny because the only two sets that I feel they botched the announcements were the two I was most excited for this past year - Ninjago City Gardens and Diagon Alley. I remember when the 2018 Hogwarts was announced, I wasn’t following Lego, but even that made it’s rounds in the mainstream on the reveal. These past two sets I swore they wanted to release them as quietly as possible. It’s so weird but hey I’m not a master or marketing so maybe they know something I don’t.
  10. Was hoping we were going to get some reviews and in-person shots today, but oh well.
  11. Yea it sucks I want that GWP so badly :(
  12. Grabbed the last Spring Lantern Festival at my store in Los Angeles about an hour ago. Story of Nian was still fully in stock.
  13. Any idea what the GWP will be for February? I just bought the Spring Lantern Festival so it may be in my best interest to hold on the Gardens purchase until there’s a GWP that interests me.
  14. I could see the 2017 Ninjago City, in like 5 years, becoming one of these sets that cost around $800-$1000 NIB.
  15. Do we know how many pieces it is?
  16. I know this doesn’t need to be mentioned a million times, but I just cannot understand the logic behind reveals for sets like Gardens and Diagon Alley. It’s like by the time the reveal happens there’s so little to actually reveal that it limps over the finish line.
  17. Are you sure? I can tell the set on the right is the Gardens, but I can't tell what is on the left side. Too blurry still
  18. Yea I am 80% sure tomorrow we’re going to see both the press release and video reviews from people like just2good. Very similar to Diagon Alley release. A release plan I personally think is rather dumb.
  19. So now I see a staircase behind the ice cream shop, which is nice. Is that an elevator lift on the corner on the base floor? I wonder how you get up to the roof
  20. I’m really curious how the Gardens, with the blue lanterns, will look with lighting kits next to the other two. I hope the red and blue don’t clash too much.
  21. So seeing them all together, how will you guys implement spring lantern festival? I think it would look good “behind” the gardens.
  22. It looks absolutely amazing together!
  23. Man I really want to get it on the 14th just to have it but I still have the other two sets in their boxes and I don’t have much more room. But having all three NIB sounds so satisfying...
  24. Thank you for doing this! The back looks way better with the temple attached. Can’t wait to see all the sets together.
  25. If I had the guess I’m assuming the Gardens announcement will be Monday, and at that time LAN members will probably be able to post their early reviews. Assuming LEGO sent them early sets this weekend.
