Ok yea, a motorized Hogwarts Express would definitely win the most disappointing for me lol especially with how overpriced motorized trains are, it probably wouldn’t be much bigger than the one that’s already on shelves. that being said, I don’t see that happening until the other one is retired at least
-
I’m still pretty bummed Hogsmeade isn’t a $150+ set, personally.
-
Yea I know many here would love those actually. It doesn’t really matter what those are for me personally because I’m not into the <$40 sets. I have little room for LEGO anyway and as an AFOL I prefer the beautiful large D2C’s.
-
Let’s start setting the bar as low as possible so we can be at least a little excited when they announce it. I’ll start... 76391 $249.99 - Some sort of LEGO Art piece 76392 $59.99 - Displayable LEGO wand 76393 $119.99 - Some Hogwarts expansion that satisfies little (Don’t even know what this could be if not Battle of Hogwarts) 76394 $39.99 - Godric’s Hollow 76395 $29.99 - Tent in the Forest from DH
-
Scream in a good way or bad way? I think regardless it would be an incredibly dumb idea, as it would be competing with the already well-done $40 Hedwig. Give us more DISPLAY pieces, LEGO. I would throw big bucks at you if you made things like a $250 D2C Gringotts.
-
If they don’t release a Gringotts let me just say I am so glad I sold my Diagon Alley set. The longer I looked at it (and the pink box) the more I disliked it. It definitely needs a centerpiece like Gringotts. All I really care about is the $250 set. If it’s a stupid UCS Harry’s head or something I will be so disappointed. You would think making HP waves would be so obvious the get right for the fans.

I have to agree that the Van Gogh (and Moreso the Globe) are boring picks, at least for a more active LEGO fan. The Van Gogh one in general looks like a huge pain in the megablocks to build (lmao it autocorrects a** with megablocks), though that’s coming from someone who doesn’t like the new art lineup either. The globe is like, idk, why wouldn’t you just buy a normal globe at that point? That’s not really something I feel is needed in LEGO form.

I’m a bit bummed Hogsmeade is only $80. Honestly I don’t know how you can have two display buildings for $40 each. I mean Privet Drive alone I feel is the minimum for one building and that alone is $70. I’m worried Hogsmeade is going to look like more a cheap playset

If the other unnamed sets are all we're getting for DH in August, I think it's all but confirmed that the $120 will be the Hogwarts playset expansion and $250 will be Gringotts.
-
Especially when it's the green roof style
-
Oh. Well that's disappointing then. Honestly not a huge fan of the sets announced today. Any idea on when we'll get info on those?
-
Wait I had no idea about an August wave. What size can we expect from that wave? Does that mean Gringotts won't be coming in June? What if the $250 is a Hogwarts expansion to the micro Hogwarts
-
I think it's just a typo in their article, because farther down it says 119.
-
Promobricks is saying 76393 is $199?
-
So with this information, any predictions on the $199 and $249 sets? We can cross out Hogsmeade and the Hogwarts modular.
-
Is anyone concerned though that the Great Hall seems to be less detailed than the 2018 model? It sounds like they're going back to the old Hogwarts sets, which are very unappealing to me personally. I'm assuming it's done intentionally as an anniversary wave? Odd choice to me personally but I guess nostalgia brings in the $$ Most exciting sets are still the $199 and $249 ones.
-
So this basically confirms that the $250 set has to be Gringotts, yea?
-
They posted the article on their website. So Hogsmeade is onlt the $80 set? Interesting. I'm kinda pumped for the modular! I'm not into the annual playset sets, and this could be the way we get a more detailed Hogwarts that's not microscale! Edit: From their description though it doesn't seem too detailed, so maybe it's not for me after all.

LEGO Ninjago 2021
Modal replied to Driver Brandon Grumman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Honestly that set is aesthetically similar to what I was hoping Gardens would be more like. I wish LEGO would do more fantasy type sets like this that were adult displays and not play sets. One can dream. -
If anything I would feel that sharing this MOC means they won’t be doing 12 Grimmauld Place
-
I’m not talking about semantics of what a “theme” is. If you went to the average AFOL and asked them whether there have been space sets recently, they are going to say yes. That’s what people are talking about when they say Space has had a lot of love Sure, if we want to say there hasn’t been love for a “Classic Space” themed set, then that’s fair as Benny’s Spaceship was 2014. Even then it still has had more love than anything Castle related. Pirates don’t even get me started lol
-
People consider Saturn V, International Space Station, Lunar Lander, etc as Space sets. Don’t think that’s too far fetched of an idea. Edit: There’s even More! 60228 Deep Space Rocket and Launch Control. 60226 Mars Research Shuttle, etc. Saying Benny’s Spaceship is the last Space set to come out is more far fetched, imo, especially if people are going to claim that the Medieval Blacksmith is a “Castle” set.
-
I know just give me MORE of them, Lego
-
Sure, so should they just say straight up nothing modular, no castles, etc? Because I don’t see them ever approving one
