  1. Hopefully next week. Have been sick the entire week, so I haven't been able to work on it like I planned to. Pictures are mostly done. Still doing the comparison with the 10179 part and the conclusion/verdict.
  2. @AnkTales has made another great stop-motion video, this time using Light my Brick's LEDs. Click on this link or the image to see the result.
  3. I totally forgot to conduct the raffle yesterday. Had a busy afternoon at work Here we go....mightly random.org...show me a number between 1 and 4.... The winner is 3 Congrats @Toastie. Apparently, the universe has chosen a train book review with ion-molecule chemistry I will send you a PM, which already includes a link to a dropbox file with a bunch of images PS Nice to see that there are lots of enthusiastic members in this forum. I will keep that in mind when (if) I get another train book
  4. @mocbuild101 This is a very nice entry! Exactly what I was hoping to see. Well done
  5. Actually that's very easy in this case. I only had the usual small parts left after each step and only one of them. Quite often I also had a 1x2 grill or something like that left, which meant that I missed it somewhere.
  6. WACKY WHEELS CONTEST - VOTING TOPIC Voting will be open for at variable period of time. Closing date will most likely be somewhere between one and two weeks. VOTING RULES AND REGULATIONS Voting scheme uses the old Formula One style point distribution (10, 6, 4, 3, 2 and 1 POINT) You need to assign 10 points to the 1st place, 6 points to the second and so one. You need to vote for 6 ENTRIES (no more, no less) Clearly mention the ENTRY NUMBER and the NUMBER OF POINTS per entry that you vote on. If you joined Eurobricks after the start of the contest, you can be banned from voting (when vote rigging is suspected) You may NOT vote for your own entry. In the event of a tie for any place the Technic Staff will decide which entry wins. Our decision is final. Questions about voting can be asked in the Discussion Topic. For example (entries randomly chosen): --- comments can be placed above the votes 5: 10 (no comments here please) 6: 6 1: 4 9: 3 7: 2 3: 1 Or comments can be placed below the votes ---- NOTES Please use this exact notation NUMBER: VOTES (with a colon). Please don't type #1:10, 1 = 10 or 1) 10 or other notations. Stick to the example format shown above. Please use this thread only for voting. You may explain why you made your choice, but any general discussion should take place in the Discussion Topic. Comments should be placed ABOVE or BELOW the votes. Please don't comment on the same line as the votes. VOTING The voting criteria are: Originality & Wackiness. Looks (shape, color scheme etc). Quality of the build. Functionality. 7. That won't be a problem. As long as you take your time to try and write a proper review, I am perfectly fine with unexperienced reviewers I will conduct a raffle around noon. For now I have: 1. @raised 2. @PeteM 3. @Toastie 4. @Rail Co
  8. Let's wait another 24 hours or so and if someone else is responding I will do a raffle. I don't mind that you are not that active, as long as you are enthusiastic about trains There is no fixed timespan or embargo or something, so within a couple of weeks would be fine.
  9. Hi, I have been sent a copy of the The LEGO Trains Book by the awesome people at No Starch Press. Is anyone interested in writing a review for this very nice book?
  10. Great to hear! It's something which pleases me as well. And it's the reason why we have many Technic contests. Even though it is a contest, the main ingredient is to have fun.
  11. We are on page 19 of the 2018 1H set discussion. If you browse through some of the pages, you will see that discussion is about the leaked pictures According to our site guidelines it's okay to post a link to a prelim image. However, being a huge online community, we have implicitly agreed to do our best to prevent images from being leaked (well, exposed actually, since they already have been leaked). Not every moderators acts the same way, but I prefer not to have links directly to the leaked images. Linking to another community is somewhat different, since it's clear where the images are being hosted and TLG can take a course of action and contact the other community. It's a thin line, I know. I can't prevent you guys from posting them here, but when they are posted, I will remove the link. In other words; you have to be quick (after I remove the images they usually float around the web, email and PM)
  12. Hi. Welcome to EB. Even though it's not clearly stated in the rules, we don't like links to confidential images being posted here. I have removed the link.
  13. That's the image I posted on the 25th of September. Why are you reposting? You beat me to it
  14. Nice work! I really like Western buildings. Maybe we should do something with it, like a contest or theme month.
  15. Can you link your topic? Edit: Never mind, it's in your footer
  16. Technically they are indeed not chrome, but they are suspicious (just kidding)
  17. And maybe the metallic silver wheels. These
  18. As you will most likely know, he probably means the flat silver connectors.
  19. This is turning out to be a great contest. I really love the entries I see in the Entry topic. I haven't read all the discussion topics, so don't think I don't like you entry if I haven't commented on it. I only made two or three comments, so no worries. I will definitely take my time to go through all the entries. I'm loving it so far
