  1. Oh ok! So the clutch automatically connects and disconnects the front axle as necessary? Kind of the opposite of the Lego set then, I guess!
  2. Actually, on second thought, I suppose the result, if not the implementation, could be slightly realistic! Assuming the real car had a central differential, which I'm confident it would, you certainly could have more RPM directed to the rear once you break traction if the central differential decides that that's the path of least resistance.
  3. That is shockingly gear-dense! Very, very cool. Probably something I'll try putting together from my collection once instructions are out
  4. That'd be a rather neat feature! Not realistic in any way, but it would illustrate the rear tires breaking traction in a cool way
  5. Is the lack of a central diff that big of an issue? I'm pretty sure we've had 4WD sets before without them, and I thought the difference was pretty negligible with Lego
  6. Oh, you must be right! I just assumed that that's what the differentials would have to be driving, but you're right, it does say it's an electric machine right in the title!
  7. Yeah, I'd agree that that looks more LBG. Lets them reuse the newly recolored wheel covers from the Skyline in the rear, as well. Strange to get two LBG cars in the same scale in the same wave, but my LBG-loving self won't complain!
  8. Right, I remember that now! Man, I'm really not following Technic as closely as I used to...
  9. Looks like the fan favorite of the year to me! Seems to have 4WD with some piston engine, good steering, and the bucket functions. Great to see those tires become more readily available as well! The 9L alternating hole liftarm should be great as well! This is the first time we've seen it in any color, right? Glad to see them moving beyond the 3+4x lineup for those
  10. Very strange and underwhelming... I hope we've got the new angled connector in LBG in the suspension of that little cart thing, but likely it's not that one.
  11. Not bad! I think those flat-sided wheel covers will come in handy quite a bit, and the fender flares are nice too. More realistic tires are always good too!
  12. Looks very good! Still not a fan of the all-in-one electronics, though. Is it LBG or DBG? The answer will affect my interest in the set quite a bit
  13. I'm not sure how I feel about this set. I think it works well as a 2010s-style, high end but sub-flagship set, with more parts for detail. The trouble is that it's priced like a modern flagship, without having the functionality or motors we've come to expect for that price.
  14. Ooh, what a great LBG parts pack! 3x11 panels in LBG are great-now my fake ones won't be immediately obvious! Also, a recolor of those wheel arches means that my Geo Tracker/Suzuki Vitara MOC can now likely actually be built in one color without 3D printed wheel arches! Even if it's not the black I initially designed it for. Yeah, as soon as I saw the set I started looking excitedly for those, so that's disappointing. That'd be great if it turns out to be right!
  15. Impressive, especially with the parts limitations you're working with!
  16. Very nice! It looks good, and the pneumatic coupler is a very cool way to set it apart from other excavator models.
  17. Looks like you had a lot of fun with that! Getting a 3+R in a model that size looks a bit tricky!
  18. Oh, yeah, I was aware of that! Just making a comment on a related part.
  19. Hey, LBG, my favorite! I still love building cars with 4x of these: and thinking about the fact that (had I not bought them direct from Lego), four 6x6 Volvo Haulers would have had to give up their dashboards to make it!
  20. That's super cool, and looks well thought-out! I look forward to seeing what you build with it
  21. I'd love for it to be normal blue! Such a nice color, that isn't used enough. Plus, you can't complain about blue pins on a blue car!
  22. Is it the Osprey's dreaded grinding gears?
