  1. Very impressive work! I'm surprised that it works as well as it does!
  2. Oh, that's an interesting suspension! So I take it the suspension arms go past center and compress those center shocks? I don't think that's a solution I've seen before, at least not in combination with a more normal spring position!
  3. Looks impressive as always! Good, clean looks, and an interesting suspension setup!
  4. Ooh, that's quite good looking and functional, especially for the small scale!
  5. Wow, that is really impressive! So is the idea that you'd plug a Geekservo into this adapter, and it could then be controlled by PF power supplies as if it were a PF servo motor?
  6. That makes sense! When I started out with Technic, I mostly had access to Mindstorms NXT motors, so I built quite a bit of stuff with those. It was challenging to make space for them, but it's what I had!
  7. Oh right, I remember hearing about that. Yeah, other sites (Flickr, etc.) should work fine!
  8. Nice work! As far as images go, we have to upload our images to an external file-sharing website, and then copy the link from there to embed it here. Bricksafe is the most commonly used website for hosting Lego pictures on here
  9. That's cool to be able to see the mechanisms in isolation like that!
  10. Wow, seven differential locks! Would the real truck actually have three extra differentials in the chassis? Was there any particular reason you chose to use EV3 motors? Was it just what you had available? They're definitely fairly challenging to integrate into models!
  11. Always nice to see people sharing instructions! That looks like a lot of work. To share a 3D model, I'd just upload your .io file to Bricksafe, and share that link here
  12. Ooh, that looks very nice!
  13. Wow, that's a long time building straight! It might be worth getting in the habit of taking screenshots to share on here. Win+Shift+S would be the go-to keyboard shortcut for that, and it could be easier and cleaner to do it that way!
  14. I've had good experience with wheel hubs from Ali. The one thing you need to be aware of is that the ones I got weren't lubricated at all, but they also weren't glued together at all, so it was easy to lubricate them myself and superglue it shut! Since then I don't think there's any issues to speak of, and they're way cheaper!
  15. Wow, that is super fun! So much complexity and functionality! I especially liked the servo (or is it antiservo?) tab on the rudder!
  16. Wow, that's quite chaotic looking! I'm sure other setups could be more efficient, but if you enjoy that kind of environment, I guess it works for you! It certainly does have a fun "mad scientist" aesthetic to it, I think
  17. Wow, very cool to see how well it's working! Also the first time I realized that the boat hull was for resonance--I wondered why it kept showing up in every iteration!
  18. Cool! It's interesting to compare to the very similar model I made a while back: I'd say yours looks more refined and durable than mine, though!
  19. Are you talking about the bottoms of this assembly? Are those actually able to accept towballs?
  20. Now we know where that yellow part is coming from! (In red here:) https://brickset.com/article/118591/lego-ideas-the-evolution-of-stem-revealed!
  21. I tend to prefer the G. The color really pops, the tires are way more suitable, and the solid rear axle feels much more proper for an off-roader. It is too bad to lose the gearbox, but it didn't work that great anyways in the Defender, and the addition of differential locks helps make up for it.
  22. Looks like a lot of fun! Good performance and good looks are always a fun combination! (Also, I'm a bit jealous of your summer there! Feels like -24 here today, with plenty of snow!)
  23. I would tend to agree. Often I see nice models, and I want to reward the builder for making a nice presentation of it for us, so I make a comment! If there were a like button, I think it would be too easy to just click on that and move on, instead of thinking about the model and coming up with something at least slightly meaningful to say. It's that discussion that a forum is made for, though, and honestly what builders want to see, so I'd be skeptical of something that could tend to discourage it.
