  1. This is great! I love the whistle! Are you using this blue Lego air-tanks?
  2. Interesting to see how a non-technic person reviews a our favourite Lego theme. His main criticism is the missing seat and the little winglets not being fixed in position. Although many complain about the simple instructions of Lego, I think the video shows that they do it right. The speed-build is super professional!
  3. I do like and appreciate the previous Civic for its unusual but clean lines. The current one is just to much (many members seem to agree) but certainly a challenge to replicate in Lego! Yeah now I see the two joint going from the motor to the 5x7 frame. Ingenious!
  4. Imho, the body of the real car is a real mess but your replication is super interesting with clever solutions for all those angles! Is the floating differential wobbling in all directions because of the virtual steering point? How well does it match with the bevel gear when it is not perpendicular to the bevel gear?
  5. Enjoy the build! I don't own this set but it looks like a good start into Technic: Well working functions, no too complex and with a good look
  6. Nice and compact mechanism for the gear switching. But why there is no neutral in the centre? (I don't own that piece to try it out)
  7. This looks super interesting! I'm also working on a front wheel drive + gearbox entry but my approach is bulkier. Will be curious to see how you brace and route the lever for the gear box from the front to the cabin of the car. Maybe it is easier to turn the assembly around and place the steering rack up front (and reduces the for these cars typical ugly overhang in front of the wheels) ?
  8. See it that way: When you bring your race car to the track with the 42098 transporter you wouldn't put on the race tires anyway but some other rubbers for preventing any damage to your race tires.
  9. For me, there is no drawback from the 7L liftarm to 3 + 4L. Seeing your other creations, openable doors could be a first for you!
  10. The rear wing makes it so recognizable! For reducing the stress on the two the 13x3 curved panel of the bonnet, I would probably use two of toggle joints to connect the lower part of the panels and two pin with pinhole for each of their upper links.
  11. It should be up to the voters: If your cool car is too system heavy for someone, just don't give him points. For my part, I enjoy the variety of entries for this contest. Some are optimized for look, others for the function.
  12. Which will be re-used for the new Volvo hauler.
  13. Great to see all these variations! The white and blue one feels like a Williams from the BMW era and the white-red-black one looks like the early Haas cars. A purple-black combination could represent a 1994 MTV Simtek.
  14. I also did not get the rule completely and did not want to blame those who already made their entry pictures. Some of use build a front wheel drive car and in this case there is no real chassis. However, there will be a way to shoot a picture with minimal bodywork!
  15. Our engineers at the VEB Sachsenring motor company worked hard to improve the engine and transmission layout. All questionable bevel gears are removed. With the removed slack and friction our customers can now use the full 26 horse powers! We also prepared a routing for the HOP (Hand of the Party) steering. However, the capitalist system is slow in delivering the old 4L differential.
  16. When it comes to wheels, I clearly prefer a curvy function over aesthetics! (Sorry, couldn't miss hat burn) I do like the off-centre seat as in real LMPs!
  17. Thanks for the explanation guys! I missed that the U-joint has no friction because I don't own this (yet).
  18. Awesome! This sleek model makes you aware of how over-styled present-day Lambos are (and most other cars). I think with a wing it will be less elegant. My only nitpicking would be the shape of the rear window: The horizontal black liftarms within the orange liftarms going from the roof to the rear give me the feeling of a glass covered slope whereas pictures show a vertical rear window behind the seats. (But there might be different versions of the car)
  19. Your quoted description of the PSK is also in dark theme Can't you use an CV-joint at the rear axle to move the pivot point more to the centre and to get longer swing-arms?
  20. Great alternative builds guys! I would like to see the return not only of B-models but also of universal builder sets. I don't want to discuss knock-off Lego, but some alternative have universal builder sets and advertise them for STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics). These subjects seem to be popular in Asia and with the Lego company focusing more on Asia, hopefully such universal builder sets will return.
  21. Isn't this causing a negative Ackerman geometry? I like the foldable seats!
  22. The number of panels is crazy! The only sticker I do not like is the one for the end of the exhaust. I'm sure there are some system bricks to get that shape.
  23. Old Lego tradition (See the BMW). Anyway, I like it. In comparison to the BMW (which I enjoyed) there are more functions and new pieces but the same price. Good job Lego!
  24. Cool color vomit!
