  1. Almost certainly. If not it'll nothing a few random bricks from Pick a Brick or an Xtra food polybag or something can't fix to push you over :)
  2. Lol isn’t the CMF basically just the wishlists posted here, and the advent calendar fairly predictable (and hence forgettable, so we forget about it when the set is revealed and don’t have a go at them) minifigs except Kreacher lol.
  3. That’s very true. Lego knows what they’re doing and knows how to please fans. I’m sure it’ll be really fantastic. But I’m just being careful not to Over hype then disappoint myself, as I’d much rather be really surprised at how much is packed in! Personally I’m not sure 600-700 pieces per building would be quite enough. That’s about the same as the pieces in Privet Drive, factoring in the car, which is a fairly small building. And Privet Drive is 17cm tall - kingnono said that DA is 23cm tall on average so they’d be taller but less deep or thinner. then again, the Burrow is huge and only has around 300 more pieces. And the 2011 DA had around 2000 pieces between 3 buildings so around 600-700 each - although arguably much less detailed interior than they would hopefully do nowadays. I guess it’s impossible to tell. To be honest with such a large set I wouldn’t be surprised if we got better than $0.10 per piece. But I have faith in Lego to do it right at such an expensive set. That would absolutely be the perfect building lineup though. I was initially an advocate for the Leaky Cauldron but then realised all I wanted it for was the wall which doesn’t need the LC, and as a connection / context to the muggle world. But tbh the building itself would be difficult to make interesting so I’m less bothered now, I’d rather some more interesting shops like QQS (which imo is the shop with the least chance of being added but one that id love to get) first. This looks really awesome! I love how you’ve made the courtyard using the Whomping Willow around the Clock Tower, that’s a really nice touch and prevents the WW simply being a wall!
  4. Be careful not to wish for too much and disappoint yourself! We don't know how detailed they'll go on each shop. I think 4 is a given. 5 would be reasonable. 6 would be a bonus. In my opinion. Trying to keep my expectations in check.
  5. I feel like this is a common sentiment here, as many already have/will get Whomping Willow, so they alreay have the car. And therefore kinda discount it from the value of the set. I expect if the car weren't included (and it probably contains some relatively expensive parts compared to the house's 1x2s) they could have added some more stuff to the house. Just enough to justify $70. Jangbricks had a sensible explanation of why the car's included - they focus-tested it with kids, and kids liked the car. So they added it.
  6. Found RoR but not Hedwig! edit ahah it's there now
  7. It looks so good, it's like a Hogwarts skyline... Still no discounts anywhere here
  8. This got more than a chuckle out of me
  9. Wow this theme is so great for all its customisation options. And damn the AT looks gorgeous silhouetted by itself like that (oh no I've watched too much just2good haven't I...)
  10. It will maybe be 16 + in line with Ideas and Hogwarts Castle. I'd imagine it'll be normal box style, probably again a similar size to Hogwarts Castle box with a box in a box. I do, just in case I need to sell one day. They get flattened and go in rubble bags in the loft. Unfortunately they get a bit warped from getting a little damp up there. 1. Astronomy Tower - the best Hogwarts set yet in my opinion, I love every part of it. 2. The Burrow - amazingly detailed set, basically on par with AT. 3. Privet Drive - I actually think this looks a really nice compact build, even if it is a little small and perhaps less good value for money. 4. Forbidden Forest - I really like this set but I feel it could do with some more scenery. Love the Centaurs. 5. Room of Requirement - really lovely set just in no rush to get it, as nice as it is, it is just a wall really. 6. Hedwig - really cool but just not for me. Tbh they're all on par with each other though.
  11. Oh it's something completely different I didn't realise :(
  12. As someone said, that’s not an official image - you can tell where it’s been photoshopped (Look how the Astronomy Tower doesn’t connect very well and isn’t quite straight and how the proportions aren’t right (Astronomy Tower is too tall and like you say Great Hall Tower is too small) and neither are the colours (due to the CGI), not to mention the random Slughorn. But I’m really not sure why you expected a Lego set not to be a play set. Lego is ultimately designed for kids to play with. It just so happens that it’s really nice to display. You’re never going to get a complete Hogwarts from these sets, for a range of reasons - there’s a lot of fairly random wall, Hogwarts changes between films, the open backs meaning that in any layout that is like a film, things will be wrongly orientated. But most of all there’s just so much of it for them to fit everything in. What’s more, this isn’t an at all to scale model, but rather an artistic representation of Hogwarts. This applies to the Great Hall Tower - they’re not going to make the entire huge tower as it would be far too large. Several people have modified it a few pages back to have a back, although that doesn’t make it to scale - it just makes it have a back. Of course you can modify stuff yourself to make it accurate. They don’t have to connect in any way like official or unofficial images show. But these Hogwarts sets will always be designed to connect in a line like this so that it works with any number of sets and so it’s fun to both display (from the front) and play with (from the back). And yes you can also buy second sets to change stuff. For the Room of Requirement - there are specific pins in the rear of the Astronomy Tower that it fits into, so that it will be indoors on both sides. But like I say - they’re never going to make the entire castle or the entire castle accurately. But there’s nothing stopping you changing that. Just expect that to be expensive! your English is great, I understood it perfectly enough :)
  13. Same time again today on Facebook Uhm hello?
  14. We don't know, as we don't know how many more years this theme will go on for. All the five parts of the minifig-scale castle already costs basically the same as the microscale. It just depends entirely on whether you want to have a complete minifig-scale collection that has some creative licence with locations, or the half a castle in microscale.
  15. Aha I see, well I had thought about the tunnel but hadn't really noticed the wall.
  16. "Twin towers" made me do a double take... I didn't realise Whomping Willow actually represented something, I thought it was just some random castle wall to flesh out the castle in general and that set. What's it supposed to be?
  17. I think the minifigs are everyone’s only complaints really too :)
  18. I'll keep my eyes peeled. Even 10% off I really shouldn't as it'll be cheaper than that after release and I ought to get the previous years' sets first, but I wanna ride the hype
  19. Just saw. No pre-order discounts like someone else said there was in their country
  20. Mischief managed Ah it works, I guess maybe they're doing it on IG one day and FB the next
  21. People seem to be confused on the IG post. It says it's today on IG but tomorrow on FB?
  22. https://www.johnlewis.com/customer-services/delivery-information/international-delivery Hmm, unfortunately it seems they don't offer to US any more, but Canada's on there if that helps anyone. Don't forget UK prices do include VAT You could always use a package forwarder though!
  23. Yes, it's probably the biggest department store in the UK. They're the retailer that always gets the LEGO exclusives first after S@H does.
  24. US people - I don't know if anyone watches Jeremy Herbert (if you don't, you should check him out, he does really cool Lego Harry Potter reviews of new and old sets), but he got the Clock Tower in the US early by ordering with John Lewis from the UK. I don't know if it was a unique case for him/he made a special arrangement (he used to live in the UK so probably knows people), but if any of you wanted the sets early, you could see if John Lewis will ship to you?
