That's better. I really like your changes! The courtyard is awesome, much better than the official one. Seeing the Great Hall Tower with the other sides completed makes me wish Lego had made it rounder, as it looks very square. That's probably why we always say how it looks weird from any angle but head on actually - as it's not just the back that's been cut off, but the way they've designed it means that rather than having 180 degrees of what would be the complete tower, we've more like got 135 degrees. If that makes sense? I don’t know if someone’s said this before, but just noticed in RoR there are technic bricks for pins at either end at 90 degrees to each other - that’s just asking for you to buy two, with one build backwards, to create a full enclosed room! -

I think I understand what you’re saying. As said above, that’s the tower in the Great Hall. Couldn’t sworn those turrets were included, but turns out I’m getting confused with the big Hogwarts Castle microscale set. I have a feeling if they did do those they’d just do them like the ones in the AT (so basically the same as the ones in the Hogwarts Castle) for stability. I think you could add it in though, it’d be a cool thing to do as a MOC! also, “I've been collecting the Hogwarts releases for my son for when he comes of age" - yeah, yeah, I’ll take your word for it, that’s what everyone says ;) This sounds really impressive. I’d love to have the space for this, although I feel like some of the deliberately angled wall sections don’t facilitate this. -

I will definitely be taking a similar approach to you - I have no desire to be screen accurate when the sets themselves aren’t screen accurate, and I’d rather have a full, deep Hogwarts than a long wall of Hogwarts. -

Yes that would work. I'm sure I can MOC it. I love this! -

Yeah, actually I totally love the set, and think it'll look better depth-wise as we're discussing in real life with the viaduct entrance to its side. Something I do really like about the Astronomy Tower is the way they've done those small turrets using interesting techniques. The back one is attached with cylindrical 2x2s. Meanwhile, the front one uses a SNOT technqiue (you can see based on the rear photo) and some curved "hump" tiles on their ends. It makes the turrets look like they're built directly into the walls. Fair enough, I can see exactly where you're coming from on both counts. Yes the Forbidden Forest set looks a good set to get multiples of with that large tree build as well. With the three Forbidden Forest sets, we're getting a really good forest with lots of variety in the ways the trees are built! I love that. Yeah, I'm probably forgetting stuff, I just couldn't think of anything but kitchen/dining room or tapestry room. Not sure I remember scenes in bedrooms. I'll have to watch the films again when I get home, in preparation! -

Oh, I see! I hadn't noticed that, and wasn't sure what people meant when they were referring to it. I really like that idea, it's really clever! -

Remember this is a licenced theme so you can't really compare prices. But yes, that'd be a really cool set. They could make it a similar price point to the Burrow easily. I don't think the small half-house aesthetic of Privet Drive would work for it. What would be really cool is if they had two walls that cover the front of it that slide apart, similarly to the Room of Requirement back wall. However this would require lots of parts, an extra walls' worth, and not be very sturdy, especially when pulled apart! Although I kinda wonder what they'd put in it to make it interesting. Personally, I can't think of many interesting-looking scenes in Grimmauld Place, but I might be not remembering some stuff. -

Can Room of Requirement not go in between? Ah yes of course -

Been looking at the Astronomy Tower again. Is it just me or does the front of it look very... flat? Apart from the door at the bottom, it all seems very on-layer. Clock Tower was similar at the top but had lots of layering lower down. I feel it needs some more depth. I'm not complaining or hating on it, just something nitpicky I noticed that I haven't seen mentioned. -

Hmm, that is interesting. Maybe because it's so large now? -

That's what they were saying. All 5 Hogwarts sections connect. -

That would be a lovely price point, not that I mind a larger set, but because it would really work as a small set and still look good. Absolutely! Great Hall, Whomping Willow, Clock Tower, Room of Requirement and Astronomy Tower all connect. -

I think I get you. It's around 4cm taller than the Clock Tower. I don't think they could've made it any taller without it being too tall to be honest. Lego clearly isn't worried about scale or correct locations! With the walls, I feel like you could solve that problem just by using some of the other set modular pieces? Due to the modular design. -

What do you mean they don't match? As in the slight stylistic differences with green cheese slopes on the roof and green cones on the spires? -

Yes, that makes sense, I definitely think it's okay with the Burrow. I'm the same with the Great Hall though, that tower looks weird because of its open back. It even looks weird modded to have a back as it's not round. -

Yes, there's a rumoured set number. It's rumoured to be Ministry of Magic or Chamber of Secrets but I think both of those are just speculation really. -

Wow, we must have very similar tastes. I'm interested in both Treehouse and Barracuda Bay as well. I think I'll also be waiting on these sets, or at least most of them, as they'll no doubt get some discounts come Christmastime. Not sure what I'll do about DA or when I'll get that, as much as I'd love to get it asap I may end up waiting a year or more until there's a discount when it comes to other retailers. Then again I may bite the bullet and buy from Lego if there's a double VIP promo on sometime. -

I'm not sure where you got the idea that Lego would give a damn about continuity in a house, let alone a Privet Drive, with no kitchen, no bathroom, and only one long thin bedroom from! It's clearly an interpretation of the key locations. If it's anything like here in UK, you can always order from other European Amazon countries? I frequently get stuff from Amazon DE. -

Is anyone else getting a weird glitch in the Harry Potter theme on the Lego website, where it says "displaying 1-17 of 18" but doesn't have a page 2? The last item is always chopped off. -

Because I think many people find the hair much more recognisable than the outfit!
