[MOC] Barrels Out of Bond
Captain Green Hair replied to Graham Gidman's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Marvellous! Especially your rocks and tree trunk bases are exquisite. -
It's awesome and it fits right in withe the winter Village, you've got that particular style covered. I love the colours in the houses, makes it really stand out and come to life. Enjoy your work of art, well done!

I think it looks gorgeous!

I always push the limit, the purist way haha! I think the tiller looks fine, a stud space is enough to stand free right? Did you use a 3 or 4l bar for it? Otherwise a 3 might save you another stud.

I really like how this is coming together, very creative work on the masts and the bowsprit and bow now look much better! The red hatches to access below are also neat and I like the little house it is attached to. I agree about the guns, perhaps some swivel guns are a nice addition?

Pirates of Brickworld Chicago 2016 (image heavy)
Captain Green Hair replied to Capn Frank's topic in Pirate MOCs
Great pirate display! I really love the messy look of the town and the fort inspired by torre de belem(?), looks really awesome too! We should try to get the whole cp crew to do one of these some day, now that would be one hell of a show. -
Great display! Lot's of funny details to look at and I really envy your 1x1 round plate collection!

I never demolish my MOCs, so it is far from free haha!

Really not bad for a first! Maybe for the next you can make some more clear pictures so I can give you feedback (if you like). I do see the curvature of the dech is a bit irregular at the bow, the decks do not need to follow the sheer of the ship exactly;-)

Consequences of the Brexit for buying Lego
Captain Green Hair replied to Wardancer's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I think the Brexit Will have many financial consequences, not Just for the Uk. But nobody knows for sure and they still need to formulate the terms of the exit. Perhaps some things might not change at all. I'd wait it out if I were you, I don't think anything has changed yet. -
That looks really great, it really has that old grand hotel feel to it! I agree on more gold on the ceiling to hide the underside of the plates a bit better (or make it upside down with tiles, or SNOT it..). My other nitpick is that the black bar in the windows don't reach the top, there is a small gap there. Perhaps lowering the windows by 1 plate, or adding grips like you did in the lower part might solve it. Good luck on compelting this wonderful model!

Nice, I really like these! I do wonder if tan wouldn't look nicer instead of white, with only white belts? -

Captain Green Hair replied to Hinckley's topic in Brickworld
Awesome stuff all round, I really enjoyed your Flickr gallery. Congratulations on winning the best display prize, well deserved IMHO! The snails are a very creative idea and very well executed. -
[ESL-FB1] The Old Stone Church
Captain Green Hair replied to Capt Wolf's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Beautiful model, I really love the stained glass and the wooden beams under the roof. The old walls are convincing and the interior is just the icing on the cake. Well done! -
The barrel seems a bit shirt but the rest looks spot on! Were do those tracks come from?

Most excellent diorama! The buildings are of great quality, but your "make it look older" skills are brilliant, I love the foliage and little damages to the buildings. Well done!

Excellent ship Phred! The shape is great and the use of the hinge panels is very creative! Did you model it after something real? -
Best Lego video ever. I loved it, the effects are great and the subtle jokes and cross overs really made me laugh out. Thank you, it must have taken quite the time and effort to make!
