  2. 2. by wunderpuddle 1 point, very funny and creative entry! 9. by captain Nemo 1 point, the two face head is very well build! 18. by CBMML 1 point, love the strange perspective! Good luck everyone!
  3. That sure was a good laugh! Everybody knows a fencing course is better served in battle then a baking course.
  4. I understand and I absolutely love the way they look! Perhaps with some soft sanding and a gloss finish the surface might even look better. Certainly I will try some at some point, the design is again brilliant. I'll keep an eye out for 3D printing services and I'll let you know if I come up with any ideas. The service seems good and will be offered in Holland as well, but unfortunately the models will be made out of paper. The only advantage of this is that you can apparently print in multiple colours.
  5. I hope you can fix the error in the banking to run it with minifigs, it is really an awesome design!
  6. The blue used to be a bit darker I think, but the current settings are fine for me.
  7. You can clearly see that the redcoat soldier just used his rifle to beat the head of a bluecoat to pulp, just by the shape of it. The bluecoat obviously likes to keep his clean and unused, rather irons his uniform and take long warm baths.
  8. There are some very useful ideas in this thread and I love the way your custom rods look! I do think the price is slightly steep, if you need a few rods to upgrade one big steamer then the total runs up quickly. But I understand that making these costs time and effort, which of course makes a price. Maybe it would be possible to give a bit of discount when somebody orders 6 or more for a single model, kits for particular engines perhaps? In some pictures the finishing of the rods looks a bit crude, will the final product have a smooth finish?
  9. You're off to a good start here, I like the colours! I do think the curve is a bit heavy, it might look better to delete the middle step and make that 1 plate higher. But it depends on what type of shop you are making of course.
  10. Wow, just wow. What a brilliant, amazing, creative mash of googie goodness! It is sooo inspiring! Your pictures, video and explanation totally do it justice, how long exactly did you work on it again? It's also great to see some behind the scene shots and your lovely family. Again well done and thanks for sharing!
  11. Very creative and an absolute art. You are a great model builder! I'm guessing warhammer is one of your hobbies as well, I think these models fit in nicely there.
  12. A well deserved promotion, I guess you need to just be slightly smarter then a monkey to get promoted on the blue side.
  13. Much, much better, I hate to say: you see! Good stuff, but I really wonder why your sigfig wears a skirt under his face?
  14. I wonder who gave you that info, as Legoland employees in Denmark told our group during the EB event that the models were re-coated after five years and fully replaced after ten. Besides that it is the sunlight that does the most damage, not snow or rain. I think you have some misinformation, sorry.
  15. It will be nice to see some of you on Sunday then, looking forward to it!
  16. Commander Red Hat, use it wisely, or else!
  17. Commander Red Hat, leader of the red team and ready to beat the blue team into a bloody red something. I bring a bag of tricks and I like ice cream. Do I need a further introduction? Bring it on ya blue whimps! Oh sorry, I got a bit carried away, must respect the rules: 1. Commander Red Hat 2. Red coats 3. Commander
  18. Happy birthday general! Please do think of your fellow redcoats!
  19. Very interesting looking machines and a great idea for a topic! I think in the 6th picture there are actually 3 loco's behind each other, each one pantograph and the ''Virgina'' text. It's just not that visible with all the minifigs people in front of it.
  20. IKEA ''samla'' containers are relatively cheap and handy. I always use those. Good luck on the move!
  21. She has certainly become a beauty and a very original model! I love the pictures taken outside, it shows all detail so clearly and is a true tribute to your hard work. It was a pleasure to help out via PM's, you can always consult me for the next! PS. for the next I'd like to see the sails a bit less cleanly white and without frays on the edges.
  22. Oooh, I'm so excited, what can it be??!
  23. It was a Saturday afternoon at Bonaparte's place and for once I didn't feel like building a ship. So I decided to build a windmill instead, as it was on my long to do list. It has been made ready for a motor, which Boney didn't have (yes, an Afol with no motors ) and some other parts are missing as well. I'd still say the model is about 85% finished. Of course Boney is Belgian, so I had to make it extra Dutch with some red white and blue flowers and flags. All in all it was a great weekend, as always. Here's the pictures; I'll use parts of the design to create a mill for Greenville, I hope you like it. -CGH
