  1. Aaaaargh, the whole world is running so scared these days! I feel it is discrimination, if they would have faith in their security (and those do not need to be all that visible) this rule would not be necessary IMO.
  2. Oh yeah been waiting for this, thank you for being so fast and sign me up!
  3. Incredible! Everything about it is great, but my favourite detail has to be the fact that the walls are actually sloped.
  4. Thanks for all the nice comments guys, I appreciate it! Thank you for your feedback! I'm not sure what you mean by height difference, in the blue one the rear wheels are slightly lower (or the car higher) and on the black the back lid is 1 plate higher (but that's no dofferent from the orange and lime car). Is that what you mean? The wheel arcs are a matter of personal preference I suppose, I think both look OK as the difference is quite minimal.
  5. It's great to see so many of them together. It really is a beautiful model, thanks a lot for sharing the instructions. Here is another version I've made which is based on yours. You can add it to the bunch:
  6. OK to top off this weekends MOC rounds, next up are the Volkswagens. There's no town in the world where you can't find one I think. All logo's have been engraved, some white electric tape is used to make the splitted front window. First up is the affordable classic, the 1960's beetle: Next up is the T1 pick-up, or Bulli as it is sometimes called: It is owned by the CMF plummer, the back cargo was inspired by Misterzumbi's. I might still change the front and add some stickers, but it'll do for now. Next up is the T2 van. Ever since I got the CMF hippie he's been nagging me about a van. I made him a brand new one, but look what he did to it: Of course the T1 van can't miss out, it is a surfers dream: I think it still needs some different wheels, but oh well... And whilst we are talking surfer cars, why not add the rusty old 2CV to this batch? It is mostly based on Hoexbroe's with some small changes: Well that's it for this weekend, I hope you enjoy them!
  7. This is one of those cars that had been on my list for a long time. It's also probably the most difficult one I've made till now Hoexbroe's version was quite inspiring, it just think it needed some more red. The red mudgaurds are cut, but I will exchange them for the new short version, as soon as I get some in red. It also needs some Batman logo stickers on the sides. Enough talking, I give you the 1955 Ford Futura, aka the Batmobile: Tennenenenene Batman! And boy wonder (aka Robin) of course: So there you have it, off to saving Gotham city in style again. I hope you like the model, feedback is more then welcome. Thank you for watching!
  8. I guess ''two by four'' would be a bit odd? Congrats you two! If I ever get a son I would like to name him Jack or Harley, if it's a girl I like Jackie or Famke (Dutch name). I'm sure you'll come up with a great one!
  9. Lately I've been building quite a few cars. Since they (mostly) can be done in just an afternoon I find them a lot of fun to build. This is just a first batch I'm posting, you can expect more to follow. I hope you enjoy these, feedback is more then welcome! First of a classic, the 1965 Dodge Charger. I still want to make it into a general Lee version, but for now the Mopar colours will do. Next up another Mopar classic, the 1965 Dodge Challenger: Next up is another true muscle car, the 1965 Buick Riviera Gran Sport. Of course it is chopped and lowered: And now for some Caddy's, first of the 1960 convertible in a two tone blue: Next up is perhaps the most famous one, Elvis's 1955 pink Cadillac Fleetwood: And last but not least; it is a blatant copy of Misterzumbi's 1957 Chevrolet. It only has a few minor changes by me, but I love this model so much I felt the need to promote it some more. Credit for the whitewall tires of course go to Mijasper. Other inspirators for my car builds are Misterzumbi, Sheep, Leichtblau and Hoexbroe. Thank you for sharing your ideas gentleman. Well that's all for now, stay tuned!
  10. They make such nice supports inside mountains, elevated bases etc...
  11. Ha that's great, you can kick your GF out the house then. Can I pre-order one?
  12. Too many to name, but here's a few: -Rolling stones 2006 -AC/DC 2009 -Peter Pan speedrock -Kaiser Chiefs -Triggerfinger -Nashville Pussy And in September I'll be seeing Roger Waters with Bonaparte here in Amsterdam.
  13. This needs a wild west approach: hang em high! This really sucks, what the hell is wrong with people these days? I hope he can rebuild it, it surely is a great model.
  14. Again a true masterpiece, well done! What scale is it in? I think it looks roughly like minifig scale, or am I wrong? Oh and I wasn't really missing the extra boats.
  15. That's an impressive setup you have created! You truly have your own style in ships, which makes them really stand out. I love the idea of the PF powered ship, I migh have a go at one before my next event.
  16. Wow, this is really becoming a beatifully big and detailed model! I love the fact you can pick these up so easily, do technic beams come n reddish brown too?
  17. Very good, as the others. The thing I like most here is that all the houses have their own style and there is a good us of colour in them. No nitpicks here, really? Yes.
  18. It's really really really great! My absolute favourite! The shape is brilliant, the detail and colour is brilliant and my most favourite detail is the 2 layer snotted tiles in the columns to get double lines in them (sorry but I will borrow that idea). The only thing I'll nitpick about is the large roof, I would have liked 1 big dome or just a flat roof with the one small green dome in the middle better I think.
  19. Slow horses, I wouldn't bet on them! But apart from that, really well executed and very creative!
  20. Really a great display again! Your gate is well executed, I love the mill wheels. Just a few details I would have done differently. Like tiling off the top in dark bley, have the dark green dome roof (or colour) come back in the centre part and not using the grill parts for the small roofs on the columns (though I see why you've used them). It's nitpicking really, but I hope it's constructive.
  21. Quite a nice build, as are most of Ulimy's works. But he didn't use the pumps and sign from the 325 set, any chance of getting those dimensions LH?
  22. I think it's starting to look really good, I like the colour scheme. The back is looking a bit too straight in comparison with the rest of the ship. I'd try to make either the wide part in the middle a bit longer or taper the back part to a point where is is even smaller. In any case it should be a bit more tapered and in line with the rest of the ship. Did that make any sense? Hope that helps and good luck on your build!
  23. I love the smoothness and detail on your new version! Does it have moving components, like the brushes and such? I would like a video to see it work then.
  24. Thank you for sharing this cool info Legohistorian, I remember seeing all these ''odd'' parts in my dad's old Lego (which unfortunatley is missing). Can you tell me the dimensions of the yellow gas pumps? I wonder if they would mix well in a modern cool MOC. Thanks!
  25. I love al the new additions to the armies, it's great to see what everybody is mixing and matching!
