  1. It's quite all right from what I can see, but your not half way yet I'm afraid. Next comes decks, rigging and sails. Good luck on her!
  2. I'm glad we've inspired you!
  3. Excellent model Daniel, it just breathes LOTR fighting scenes. Too bad to hear you won't be able to build for a while, I'll surely miss your inspiring work then.
  4. Happy birthday Nykle! May the day be filled rum an bricks, yargh!
  5. Brilliant stuff, congratulations on making the world record! You must have had good batteries for the train since it took 1h55m to complete a single lap?
  6. Hmm, those appear to be wider then 2 studs, so that is not the solution to fix the from 2 to 1 stud mast issue.
  7. What an introduction, welcome to Eurobricks!
  8. That's a beautiful truck, the see through images are really well done! And I love the fact that it has the Harley Davidson colours.
  9. I like the Lego version a lot better then the model kit! Are you incorporating this into a layout? I'd love to see it with trains, trees, cars, other buildings and what not...
  10. Very nice station! I like all the detail, the colours you have used and the fact that the station has an interior. This is inspiring, as I'm currently working on a train station.
  11. Thanks! Cannons were obsolete at that time, the industrial revolution was more important. What 1x1 round bricks? The one on top of the mast you mean? The rest is all axle joiners. That's actually a great idea, I'll be sure to try it. Thanks!
  12. Thanks everyone! Yeas that is the basic system. I've used many reference pictures and picked the details I liked. So basically this is a ''imaginative'' model. The boom is locked because it is in resting position. Under sail it would be hoisted just above everything else. The black cone may look off, but I haven't figured a better way to make the mast yet. It needs to be wood, so a prefab one is no option here. I could snot it with tiles, but that is so damn not sturdy IMO. I really like the medium blue + it is somewhat affordable. Thanks again, I'll update when she's finished!
  13. Hey guys, I want to share my Dutch Tjalk with you. Once finished this ship will go in the canals of my Greenville layout. I was much inspired by the wonderful works of Konajra, to make some other ships. This type of ship emerged around the second half of the 19th century, the first ones were made from wood. Around the turn of the 19th century, they would be made out of Iron. Still many of these ships can be found in Holland, some still are used as professional cargo boats, others as house boats. There are a variety of Tjalks, this would be a ''Groninger'' type. My model is an Iron Tjalk, and it is just about minifig scale. All rigging and yards are functional as you can see in the pictures, so with no further ado: C&C is much appreciated, especially on my mast and yard system as I think it can be refined. Thank you for watching!
  14. Apart from that, I think you're a scammer. Prove me wrong by sending a set before payment.
  15. Ooooh, that is already a million times better then your first version! The bow looks nicely filled out, however, the black line could use a little upwards sloping. Have you tried to use jumper plates to get just that slight curve in it? Your upper stern could even be a tad more sloped, I think 45 degree slopes are the best way to do it. Also the rudder should be a bit bigger, as it almost reaches the tip of the sloped upper part. Keep it up Frank, you're getting there!
  16. How in the hell did you make that red/dark red stripe on the outside, is there some new slope I don't know about? Another brilliant model, can't wait to see it all together!
  17. The horizontal curve of the bow and stern seems to be off. I.E. there are longer steps to the end then to the middle giving an uneven curve. Apart from that the bow seems a bit strange at the keel, it is a bit too thin I think. At the stern there seems to be a bit too much overhang over the rudder, it should be a steeper curve there. I hope that feedback helps, using this technique is a daring attempt. Good luck on finishing your frigate!
  18. It's almost minifig scale....wowza! Very well done! Are you planning on sharing instructions for this model?
  19. I believe you buddy, and I know not every small ship has it. But I just think a slight tumblehome would look nice. Just something like this: I mean the lantern would look better if it were just about a brick higher.
  20. Where are the Blue coats? Great layout guys, it must have been big fun to plan, put it together and then win a prize with it!
  21. Can I just buy one at retail+shipping from you?
  22. I think we can all agree that this is the most EPIC castle build EVER! Thank you for taking so many pictures and time to explain some wonderful techniques. It is inspiring!
  23. It's not a bad start, but it could do with some tumblehome. I'm also missing a third headrail and I think the lantern looks a bit too flat. I'm also not sure on the double steering wheel for such a small ship, but I could be wrong. On the side galleries, the brown part that is angled sticks out lower then the stern, or is that the angle in the picture? The grey line in the black also seems strange, what is the purpose for it? I hope this feedback helps you out a bit, good luck on finishing her!
  24. It's a most excellent building, I especially like the roof! Any chance of sharing how you made that?
  25. I've been looking at hundreds of pictures before I made my garage MOC, but yours might even be a tad more fancy looking. It's spot on and really rock 'n roll!
