  1. I bought the three big sets of HP when they came out. That of course being Hogwarts, Diagon Alley and Icons. I also got the Hogwarts Express latest edition… And if you put all these together, it looks to me that the Express is the only “undersized” set of the three, if I can phrase it like that ? So I’m hoping that that’s the set that is getting an “upgrade” here, and is the set that we’re getting ?… I’m just saying because I would like that the most I guess. I love trains, and HP, so it would make the most sense for me. But then a nice sized Gringotts would be awesome too… 🤔
  2. I saw the same thing; it is “bouncing” up and down on the frogs ?…
  3. @michaelgale Thank you Michael !... I do agree that you are taking all of the risk. And I also want to mention that the boxes of straight track are beautifully made and packed. So I do really appreciate what you're doing for the communities of Lego train enthusiasts, world wide... You have my support for sure, and I will be ordering some curved track soon;... but I was just wondering when the "important" bits are coming so that I actually can run an engine on that gorgeous track you're making !... So, thank you for explaining it to me. I do understand that you want to be absolutely sure about manufacturability and quality; and I do very much appreciate what you guys are doing for us !
  4. @michaelgale Hi Michael,... I'm still very interested in all this and bought some boxes of track earlier to check it all out. But I'm also very resistant currently to buy a lot more track until switches, motor bogies and power supply units/transformers are introduced. Do you have a (very) rough idea of when these items will be coming available, and what the estimated prices might be for them ? I'm not asking because I can't wait; I'm asking because I discontinued my Fleischmann HO hobby after the company went out of business, and I wanted to combine your new package, with my Lego hobby, and with my still burning desire for a model railroad layout... Thank you for answering...
  5. Totally agree ! It doesn’t have to carry a famous brand name to be a “good set”. The name does not make the set suddenly a good set. This truck is cute and whimsical, and I love the model with the wood panels and all the extras for the four different seasons ! Great set, and because of the “missing” name it will be more friendly priced as well; so we all can win here… It will be a first day buy for me, and I think much more enjoyable than the big London Bus for instance…
  6. Yes. Worth it because it will make the building complete as intended. These doors have different dimensions than the current doors and also don’t use a door frame to sit in, so they are different in look and size. And yes, it’s a lot of money for one piece, but you will always get that back if you decide to sell the door yourself later on, so no big deal I would say. And yes again, the total set was more than the original price this way, but still a lot less than buying one on Bricklink, or anywhere else, and paying hundreds of dollars more than I did piecing them together like this. And it’s fun to have done that, look at it with a big smile, and enjoy what you did. And having all the buildings standing together.
  7. Hi there. I did the same thing for both Cafe Corner and Market Street. I used Bricklink mostly for Market Street and both Bricklink and LEGO for Cafe Corner. I thought it was fun to do all the pieces one at the time, but it does take time that way. Bricklink has a feature that will add the whole parts list of a set to a Wishlist of bricks. Then you can, with one click of the mouse, let Bricklink look all the pieces up for you in the most efficient way, so that you don’t pay a load on shipping and you get all the pieces from the least amount of stores. I noticed that it also looks where you live and picks the closest stores to you. Just be ready, some pieces will be expensive, and LEGO won’t have those anymore. Both Cafe and Market are using older type doors and they rack up an easy $20.00 a piece. But it’s worth it in the end.
  8. I just Bricklinked Market Street together over the last two weeks. The only expensive parts in that set are the Light Bluish Gray doors and the Black door and doorframe. Total with shipping included about $400.00 which is still less then buying it new. Oh, that gate piece, very common on Bricklink and about a $1.00 a piece new…
  9. Hi Michael;... Not trying to corner you here, but are you implying that prices might be higher than they were for the first round ? Don't get me wrong, I understand what you're saying, and I get that you will "forward" the costs over the items, but you are now making larger batches ? But it sounds to me that buying a box of S32 might now be more than the original price was ? Either way, I'm still very interested, and I guess that if you are slightly more expensive this round, then I'll have to cut some of my money that otherwise would go to Lego sets...
  10. @michaelgale : I second this question; since you're pretty sure about releasing some of these for pre-sale soon, do you have any idea what these items will cost in their respective box-sets ? I guess we're talking about the S8, S32 (maybe price changed with a larger fabricated amount ?), R72 and R88 pieces here ? I can't wait to make a nice loop for the christmas tree this year and not have to worry about batteries anymore...
  11. @michaelgale : Hi Michael,... just a few more questions about your track and your store. Is there an explanation why a lot of your track items in your store state “coming soon”, but are already sold out ? How far out are you with a replenish of straight track, and the 72 and 56 curves ? Will the switch make it as well, and do you have any updates about those ? Is there any way I can make sure that in the next releases from the R56 and R72, and the straight tracks;... I can make sure I have a chance for purchasing them before it says “Sold Out” in the store. Thank you for answering....
  12. I love it. The engine doesn’t even slow down in the curves !... Also, I’m in love with that engine and the hopper car right behind it... I need building plans, please ?...
  13. @michaelgale : Received my three boxes of S32 Straight Track. Just unwrapped them and they look very shiny and pretty. Just one problem now;... I don’t have a motor, feeding cables, speed controller and enough track to make anything working now... 😉 So I’m hoping that the missing pieces will be announced soon ? But I have lots of patience 😃 For now: Job well done, Sir. Gorgeous track, pretty shiny rails and sleek packaging !... 👍🏻
  14. Are we continuing the Fx tracks discussions in here ?... I just want to make sure ?... Thanks !
  15. Thank you Sir,... much appreciated !...
  16. @michaelgale Hi there Michael. I just ordered three sets of the straight track, to support the continuation of this project ! And also because I would like to make a switch to 9V tracks when everything is there later, like controller and motors. I hope the order came through, because I saw a little error appear on the store site of Fx track; but Paypal payed it anyways ? I know you're a busy man, but please confirm when you have a moment... I can't wait to see them in real life !!! So excited for this to come true...
  17. I’m following all this very closely. I have trains that are PF and am very sick of the battery “woes”;... not having enough power and/or not lasting. But is is quite costly to switch to this track if you need it all. Motor boogies, track, power and speed controller at a minimum. I am though really excited and would love to see the tracks myself, so maybe soon I will buy a set of the S32 tracks. Please make the speed controller and two axle power boogie soon ? Oh, and I want to add, I’m absolutely drooling over your P40 switches so it actually looks like a normal railroad layout instead of a toy; nice smooth take offs instead of the lego “jumps” to the left or right... 😃 Thank you so much !
  18. Just finished 42114. It's a tricky build but I like it. Not very fast obviously, but it all works great... And it goes very well with the PF controlled Volvo Loader from a few years back... I recommend this one !...
  19. Not really interested in the CAT D11T, but I'll wait for the reviews. If they are not "over-the-moon", then the price will make that an easy decision to pass on. The Mercedes truck I might like;... but I don't need another truck with a crane on the bed. It would be nice if it was an "off-road" truck;... maybe with different motors powering different axles/wheels ?... If that was the case I might sign on, even for that price...
  20. You got very lucky ! They are now on backorder almost everywhere, including Belgium;... and you got the mother load of free gifts with it !!! I'm happy for you
  21. I find that calling their service is working good. It might take a little longer for them to pick up, after you’re on hold, but they are very understanding and will send you the replacement pieces for the ones that are broken... Of course I’m in the USA, but I don’t think that should make a big difference ?...
  22. Well, that pretty much sucks !... The news is spreading online that it is actually true that the North America’s is not getting this promotion now. Now I’m also wondering if “shipping issues” is the real reason for this; not to speculate but I wouldn’t count out LEGO to be lying about the real reason... If you know when the sets for sale, what date you are starting with VIP promotions, and that America is probably LEGO’s, and definitely Porsche’s biggest market;... you would get organized on time, right ? I guess now I’ll wait for double points or something ?... Definitely not in a hurry now to give LEGO another $150.00 for “nothing” in return. They are dropping the ball left and right lately with new product releases; get your act together !...
  23. I’m very much interested in that as well ! I took the day off (February 16th) to get it in store, but it reads on the lego site that the offer is only valid by phone orders maybe ?...
  24. I agree. Mine was a set that came from Europe (you can tell if it has white stickers all over the outside of the box), and the color differences between the parts seems almost none in the greater parts like panels, but there is a little between the small parts and the flex axles. But overall, I am still really impressed and it’s my favorite model of the three as well. (Porsche second and Bugatti third). But now here is the fun question;... what will the next one be, and will it come out in 2022 to match the two year interval they have with these cars. You know they are working on it already because they need all the time they have in those two years...
  25. That's an easy choice !... I don not like Star Wars at all, and Diagon Alley I just finished yesterday evening (watching the latest COVID news on TV);... I just really hope it won't be $700.00 like mentioned before, I have to set a limit somewhere ?...
