  1. Ok. So tonight I will start building this Venetian Houses set. I got Red Bull set aside to assist me, and I’ll keep an open mind to “missing pieces” maybe being in the next numbered bag ? I did open the set, it comes with an inside box for extra strength (and that obviously didn’t work too well 😉), and bags numbered to 17; most of them having around three bags per number… I’ll let you know how it goes… 🤞…
  2. Venetian Houses got delivered. The box was famously packed by LEGO, so it did come out of the shipping box with a little damage. No holes (😮‍💨), but the front top left corner slightly pushed in, and a crease in the bottom middle of the box. 🙄 Not surprised by that, because that’s almost always the case with shipped sets from them; especially since the shipping box is from a thinner cardboard than the actual set itself. 😂 But I’m stoked to have it. Now we can start building it… But maybe not tonight because “Survivor” is starting a new season !… 😃
  3. I ordered the Venetian Houses, and the set is currently at a FedEx hub about 70 miles from my home. Maybe I get lucky that it will arrive today, but it is planned for tomorrow… 😃
  4. Maybe some good fortune after all ?… Two days ago I got charged to my credit card for the Venetian Houses set. And yesterday evening an email showed up that my set is shipped. Now my only worry is that it will arrive in one piece and the box not be damaged,… like other sets from LEGO do often when they ship them to you. I’m getting excited, but I still can get let down by the shipping fiasco of a damaged set ?… 🥹

  6. Yes. Correct. Europe is getting sets first. One of the reasons I guess that I already got about 10 emails telling me “just a bit longer”…. 😡
  7. Same here for my set of Venetian Houses. I wonder if LEGO is playing a game of chicken here; see who would cancel first,… the customer or them ?… 😡 Every week another email with the exact same text, but then a new date. I ordered the set in November, I’m predicting they won’t sent it by then… 🤨 I’m also predicting that LEGO will never do this again; since it has been a real downer on everybody. LEGO majorly underestimated the amount of dedication and work that this takes, and customers are thoroughly disgusted by the “being lied to” emails every week. I ordered three sets in total, over the second and third round. Located on the west coast in CA; I’m doubtful I will see any of these three sets in real life ?…
  8. Not to scare you into anything but read this post from one of our Europe members:… Posted August 4 I'm absoutely gutted. I ordered the Lego Store, Venetian Houses and the Retro Bowling Alley during round 2 of crowdfunding. I got really excited last week when I got a notification that my items had shipped only to receive a package which only contained the Modular Lego Store. When I queried this with Lego Customer Service they told me that the package should have included all three sets and they would now just refund the two sets that didn't get shipped as they do not have any to ship to me. I have asked what happened to the sets that I ordered but have not received any response. I'm really mystified as to what happened to the sets I ordered and Lego haven't provided any explanation.
  9. Same here. I get a new email about every 8 days that puts the new shipment date out to the current date, plus two days. Now it’s set at September 3rd. I’m waiting for my Venetian Houses to be released ?… I’m starting to think that people in the US might lose out to a lot of sets because of “overselling” their sets and honoring European orders first ? Totally with you on the fact I’m going to be very upset if my sets out of both second and third round are getting cancelled/ignored ?…
  10. Me too. Expensive it may be, but look at the proportions of engine and tender. So much better in the big model. it will be on the list now, maybe just wait for a nice deal or something.
  11. So here’s my thought… I like what they did for Harry Potter, everything is ok with me there, except the adult Hermoine and Ron missing. Love the train, the car, the three movie scenes, it’s all good. The Kings Cross section should at least have featured two full pieces of the wall sections I think. As a train enthousiast, and LEGO train enthusiast as well, this is a let down because it can’t do anything traon buyers want. Why not make it so that it would run on Lego track ? I know R40 is too narrow for this but there are lots of track brands where you can go much wider radius scale to make this work. But here’s my cool thought. There is not a lot going on on the LEGO VIP section, ever, to spent points on. If you have points for $200 in coupons (like me), or even more, then it could be a whole different situation where the price is ok for having this as a “show piece” only ?…. I’m thinking about this last option… 🤔
  12. Well, it makes sense why the passenger carriage doesn’t have bogies; because if the track is of different size we won’t have anywhere to run it anyways. I’m quite a large fan of Harry Potter, bought all three big sets this far, Castle, Owl and Diagon Alley,… but if the train just sits there, and looks pretty, but doesn’t do anything else than collect dust;… I will put it very low on my buying list for now. $499 US (around $540 after taxes) is a lot of money for an oversized paperweight with three tiny lightbulbs… I love Harry Potter, but I’m also a straight thinker and get to see the “waste” in buying this set over other ones on my list. (BTTF, Camaro, etc.) 😕
  13. I am very sorry for you. That really sucks. Because LEGO updated my shopping day every day with the next “current day” date; I called them and asked them when the sets would be shipping for us here in the US. The answer I got, from a very helpful and friendly lady on the phone, was that it would ship at the end of August. After all the horror stories from everybody, and now you, we’ll see what happens; IF it actually happens. And then we’ll see what I’m actually getting,… if anything at all ?…. 😔
  14. Congratulations ! I’m from the Netherlands as well, but live in CA, USA… It was my understanding that European countries are first with the deliveries, and then later the US will follow; so this is not surprising me, nor upsetting me. But it would be very nice to get my Chalet and Studgate Train Station. 🙂
  15. Just got a new email again. Item still on Backorder, and will ship on 07/28/22. I’m on the USA west coast, so it will be at least another month of these updates.
  16. That’s great ! I’m happy for you guys in Europe. I’m just hoping that for us in the US it will mean that not all hope is lost yet and there might the light coming at the end of the tunnel… It has been long enough, and the notifications are totally insane; they change by day to the next calendar day date !….🙄
  17. I just got an email telling me the “Dispatch Day” for my set is 07/20/2022, and I know that will not happen and then it will be the week after,… maybe ? 😉

  19. That would be good news, but can you tell me where you saw the Bricklink notification, I can’t find any ? The Kakapo is cute, but I let it go because I was eyeing some of the expensive sets in round 2 and 3… 😉
  20. Just checked online in my LEGO.com account and it said the set should ship 07/16/2022, which is today. So I guess I will get another email update soon that will tell me differently ?…
  21. I heard normal red as well, as the color. And if it’s going to be at least equal to Crocodile standards then I think it’s going to be at least 7 studs wide ?… Oh, and I think it said release in September;… and according to my daughter that makes perfect sense because Hogwarts’ school year starts in September… 😉 🤔
  22. I just got a second email which is a perfect copy of the first. “Set out of stock and it will be a little while longer”… Sounds more like I’ll have to wait forever too from now on ?… 😔

  25. Hi guys. I just received an email telling me that my one set “Venetian Houses” is Backordered and it will be a while longer… 😔 I guess @Maple was right after all, and I might be the next victim of endless email slow downs for the set to never arrive ?…. Never thought LEGO would be this stupid over and over again ?… I’m so frustrated and disappointed with their organization “skills” right now. 🙄
