  1. Oh crap;... that’s one of my biggest “pet peeve’s” I have, I hate it when these books fall apart while they smell like ink still. And LEGO is really good at dealing with customer complaints about parts and bricks, but not as good about replacing stickers (had that happen to me when the sticker sheet stuck to the instruction booklet !),... so I’m worried for you that this might be even a harder feat. But I totally agree with you and they should replace it, but these are not plastic bricks, and I’m not sure if they print “replacement” instruction manuals in general, and for these UCS sets in particular ? I mean; there is no section for “Pick-a-manual” on LEGO’s customer site ?... Jim doesn’t like us to talk about it. But the US site is now saying “will ship July 6”,... after being at “will ship in 60 days” in less than a day after release... I guess that is great, almost cutting it in half ?...
  2. Yup,... I agree,... that does look pretty good !
  3. Tires are amazing with the “P zero” print on it. And the orange color looks amazing !!! @MarkyMark42:... Wow... that shows I’m wrong more often than I think. That makes me sad ?
  4. I think you’re at “least” Slightly off;... yes, there are problems in the cities; and rightfully so because of what happened. But most LEGO stores are probably unharmed in any way; and not the target for looters I think. And I’m almost 100% sure that that is not a factor for LEGO to not ship to the US, or to keep sets behind. In that way I’m with @Appie; in that factory shutdowns (And COVID) make sets just plain unavailable right now.
  5. Careful now;... @Appie and @Fuzzock might want to teach you a lesson about patience; pandemics and whatever else is real important. @moebiusfactor I made my point about this before and am not going to state it again; but I agree with you... I think all four of us have a point that’s true... Thanks for letting me know. My order was taken on the 31st. It says so on my order confirmation as well. We’ll see if it’s true what they told you. I’m not holding my breath either that it will be that way. Sometimes I wonder ?...
  6. Those are some cool comparisons. @Ngoc Nguyen You must have spent a small fortune on all these sets; even two of some of them ?...
  7. Ok. I get it. But if you’re LEGO and you know all those points you’re making as well; would you not make sure you provide adequate supplies for all regions before you go live with it ? I agree with all your points (including the one that I’m just a kid in my mind) but their logic and planning seem off; and I just need to vent for a while... It’s all good and well, I’ll get the set in August in the store or something... I guess you have yours already ?... So here’s a question to all of you that have the set and are building it; Does the set seem more, or less, or the same in difficulty than the other two ? And also, if you finished building it; compared to the Bugatti, is the Lambo the same size or is it longer, etc. ? Let me know so I can start planning shelf space... ?
  8. Could be worse:... All of Southern California (at least) has no sets in the stores. All shops in San Diego area and Los Angeles area say they don’t have any. Totally blows my mind how LEGO bogged this so bad for us on the west coast ?
  9. Lucky you. Mine says July 2nd... ? I got totally screwed by LEGO and I’m lucky if I see the set before August release.... What a f’ing joke this release was; just like the Porsche in 2016...
  10. Not sure about the rims, but I love the body color !!!... Purple and Lime Green would be my choices.
  11. @Robo-Knight There’s no use in blaming him for doing what he’s allowed to do. The US LEGO shop gives you the opportunity to buy three sets at once if you like. So he’s ok with buying two. I was going to buy two as well. It’s LEGO that is disappointing us with bad planning and not having enough sets on hand, again, like in 2016 with the Porsche... Good man ! ??. We’ll get our set(s) sooner or later. ?
  12. I don’t think it’s really your “fault” at all. I still think that LEGO should have anticipated this better; ESPECIALLY after this exact same thing happened when the Porsche came out ?... Unbelievable still...
  13. Well;... at least your getting yours, x2,... ? And you probably did what I did, and we’re in the same State ?...
  14. My order date for the Sian also said May 31st; but it still went from In Warehouse, to Backordered, to Out of Stock, and back to Backordered. I'm still really disappointed by the fact that the order goes through, and then gets "kicked out" anyways ??? Quite unfair to the customers on this side of the Atlantic I think... 8043 had minor color issues with the yellow and red pieces in the set.
  15. I should have known better as well. The Porsche was a disaster that lasted for over a month for online availability; I bought mine at the store in San Diego, and went home with two of them at store opening. Figured I learned a lesson for the next time; I went to the store in La Jolla (slightly closer and a new store that wasn’t there in 2016), and got my Bugatti there, this time I only wanted one. And now here we are; I called both stores and they said right away that they didn’t get any (new) sets delivered since the beginning of March, when the COVID shutdowns started to happen. I understand that totally, and have no problem with that. LEGO changed shipping company here in California; so I figured it would be ok, also thinking that they would back up the stores by having more for online sale... I was wrong... In the Netherlands we have a saying that states that “a donkey never hurts himself at the same stone twice”,... I’m officially dumber than that donkey now... But it’s all good; I didn’t loose any money, I will eventually get a copy (or two...) later, and maybe LEGO will fix the lime color-tone problem in the meantime ? (I know; wishful thinking... ). So, back to being “H...A...P...P...Y...” again !
  16. And now that one says “Naleveren”... as well. (“Backorder”).
  17. Nope, I didn’t get the first one either. The order went through and they said 3-5 business days. Then 5 minutes later they changed it into “backordered”. Then about ten minutes later they made it “Out of stock”... I still think it’s totally stupid of LEGO to not have enough copies lined up (for the US market ?). It might be their biggest market to sell this set to; alone for the fact that most Lamborghini’s are sold in the US as well... ...Still pissing me of when I think of it...
  18. Let’s hope. I got an email about 5 minutes after my confirmation email that now states “Out Of Stock”... I guess it’s just like the Porsche, only worse now; because you can’t go to the LEGO store for a copy. I called the two in south California and both said they won’t have the set until they get restocked again. They didn’t receive any sets since early March because of COVID shutdown. I figured that LEGO would think about that their stores are closed so that there will be more online orders; and that they would have the stock to support that. I guess I’m just stupid to believe that they would get it right this time ?
  19. I just checked and it states “On Backorder, will ship by July 2”... It didn’t say that when I ordered mine first; and when I checked in order progress section they changed it into “backorder”... I guess I won’t be seeing it until half July I guess ?... Or;... Did they already retract the set because of the lime color complaints ???
  20. Exactly !!! Thinking about ordering a second one to sell later on; with the added bonus of selling the two extra gifts again ?...
  21. Yup !... Sales are live on the US west coast too. Now 21:30 and I could order mine. At least this went better than with the Porsche... Now lets hope the boxes won’t get mangled in shipping ???
  22. Aurelien was the lead designer of the Bugatti Chiron set. I might think he was probably involved in the Lamborghini, but not the lead for the Lamborghini...
  23. Did you notice the “,” in that sentence ? The real car only gets 63 copies, comma, this is why the LEGO version is such a good thing because you’ll “never” will get to see the real thing in life... Stop worrying, this set will be available long enough -at least three years is my guess- for you to get your hands on one if you’d like to !...
