  1. Same here. Wasting points I’m sure, but still better try I guess ?… 😔 Would be interesting for someone selling their book already. Then enter the sweepstakes and win. Then they can sell another; and people like me who really want one still won’t have one ?…. 😞
  2. I feel bad for you, I really do. But I hope that you’re the one off “case” this is happening too ? It would not be good for LEGO to have this fall apart for every set from the program ?… plus I like to think that they’re better organized than that anyway ?
  3. It would be easy to come out with a Decepticon model; LEGO already uses any shade of grey in the StarWars line, so most likely all the bricks they need are already available in the right color. Megatron anyone ?…
  4. Wow. Two sellers on Bricklink with the book. One for $300 and one for $400…. Very sad that this happens again. 😔
  5. I understood that too. Mostly large piece count sets, aimed at adults (which makes sense since that is where the money is ?), so the Ferrari might be part of that. If I do some fast math, it might increase the price of the Daytona with maybe up to $52 here in the US, and that’s BEFORE taxes. So $399 will turn into $451, plus 8% tax here in California,… so now we’re up to a set of just shy of $500… Wow, just… wow 😮 I was going to think about this one for a while, if I would buy it. I still can but I have to decide before August I guess ?…
  6. The Daytona books starting to show up on Bricklink. In Austria for $276 and in the US for $300… Nice little profit if they sell ?… 🤨
  7. Nope. Same experience for me. They cancelled mine around 11:20 the next morning (!)… 😠
  8. Same here. Just got my cancellation email 16 minutes ago. I called them too;… how can you put my order on hold, then tell me 35 minutes later that I have one, and then cancel on me anyway the next morning ??? 😡
  9. Order confirmed for the book ! Yay ! That makes me happy. It took them about 45 minutes after I ordered it, but I guess I was on time anyways. 😃
  10. Yup. I’m old(er), I like my books to be from paper,… and something you hold in both hands… 😊 But I don’t think I got to it on time ?…
  11. Book ordered. Didn’t worry about the car yet. The US store will let you buy two cars which are still available right now. And the book is still available (?) too ?… Update: Book order in the US already states “waiting for new stock”…. I guess I know what that means… 😞
  12. I’m also more interested in the book, than the actual set itself right now. And it’s easier to explain to my wife as well; $80 vs $440 ( including the taxes here in California)… If at a later date I decide that I want to add the model to the collection (which of course I would want to, already know that), than I can still do that when it’s on sale, double points, etc. The set will be around at least a year, unless it really bombs,… but the book is special right now ?…
  13. After seeing them all four together, and watching the whole video, my mind is still set. The Sián is still the nicest car in my eyes; the nicest looking lines, the most features, and (I think) the coolest color. Of course there is the issue with the slight mix of greens, but even that doesn’t throw me off. It’s totally weird to me that you have to open the Ferrari engine cover FIRST (!), before you can operate the (very cool, I admit it) 🦋-doors ??? How do you justify that for that price ?…
  14. What McLaren F1 car;… that’s not been in stores here, or online, since it came along ?… I had it on my list, but I’ve waited long enough now. Not a priority anymore…
  15. I’m kind of thinking the same things right now, and I love the 1:8 cars. Also really not in a hurry to get this one, since it’s not really a better set than any of the others. Enough Ferrari lovers will get this, and I will get this maybe later as well; to keep the collection complete… But at the moment I’m more interested in scoring the book (yes, I’m old and I still read) than in getting this set ?… Can’t believe im actually saying this…
  16. Same here. I ordered both the Chalet and the Studgate station. Both say “Backordered” as well. And I have the Venetian Houses of round two still listed as “In Process”…
  17. I'm not saying I don't believe you, but I see in your answer that you say "they do in fact have more planned"... Where did you get that information from ?... That turns this older, grumpier realist in an optimist after all if that's true... And I want to believe as well,... I'm doing my thing again with buying track from @michaelgale, and I love what I'm getting at home from him, can't wait for the Points to get released !...
  18. Ok,... it's been quiet for a while now and I was thinking something terrible... If I remember correctly I saw an interview with a LEGO designer that had to do with the Crocodile Locomotive. He said that if LEGO was seeing proof that trains were still a hot item, i.e. they would sell enough copies of the Crocodile, they would consider making different models and try that. Kind of like how the Modular Buildings started off. So when the Crocodile came out, I did my part, and bought two copies of it on opening day. Besides the fact that there is a little issue with the gears inside not turning smoothly; I still love the model and it's still proudly on one of my office shelves at home... But the Crocodile was launched in 2020, and retired towards the end of 2021, so maybe 1.5 years of running time. Did Lego think that was enough; because a) You guys are awesome, we sold a ton of them. We have a different model ready, so we're making room for the next one... Or is it b) You guys sucked, we told you to buy this so that we would come with another one. It was so bad that we pulled the Crocodile from the shelf, and now we're not giving you another model anymore... I'm not really a positive person, like to think of myself as a realist;... so I'm now starting to think that "we all" are falling into the b) category according to Lego ??? The feeling is not leaving me alone that we might not have done well enough with the Crocodile, and that the comments we're making about the gaps in the body, the gears not working smooth, and the drive rods being too "Duplo looking" (I think that too, so I got some awesome ones from @zephyr1934)that Lego thought "that's enough, we gave them a train, and now they're ripping it apart. We're ending it here".... I want to be very wrong here, but am I the only one that thinks that Lego tried, wanted to see the reaction, but didn't think it was worth more ? What do you guys think ?...
  19. When we had the EN, I bought three sets. One to keep and the other two to give me an extra car each (since it only came with the one). So I have a stuffed EN box with a total of three cars. Would like to do something similar with this passenger train.
  20. I think I will buy that passenger train, get a remote that way, and LEGO B&P/Bricklink a third car for it afterwards ?… Then I have another train in good colors again, after selling off my HE on Bricklink last year.
  21. Me three !… I like long cars for trains, and really think the passenger train is not at all bad !… 😀 it would be nice to get another car for it though… 🤔
  22. I would go with either option. I'm a massive train enthusiast myself; so if they give us a gigantic model in a great new red color I'd be over the moon. And if it's the other way around with tracks and motor; I would be really happy as well. Just in the last case I hope that the track and motor won't take too much away from either details on the whole set, or a number of cars that will leave you wanting for more again (Anyone remember the Emerald Night ?)...
  23. I really hope it’s about the size of the Disney Train ? A little wider than normal trains LEGO does; and maybe with more detail because of the extra “space” to work with ? And LEGO;… please add the Hogsmeade station to this set. An enclosed building with the red bridge included ?… Please ?….
  24. I couldn’t agree less. There are lots of people who like trains and HP, and think about it. Maybe this is a $250 train that is prepared to be motorized, but isn’t… And instead of the electronics you get an extra car, two stations or some surrounding areas from whatever scene ? There would be lots of possibilities that way too.
