What is a celebration Luke medal?

I am actually in the process of doing the same exact thing with the same ship no less. I always wanted the SES, but never actually purchased it. I do have the BSB of the Pirates days before us. I am currently looking at certain pieces that I need to finish up the final product so I will be able to answer those questions in a future post when I am all finished. Nice end result! The big question, did you purchase the jolly roger panel for the back of the ship? That one piece is so expensive, I plan on avoiding it.

I agree. The auction I would want the most (The Bluecoats) would cost way too much to actually purchase. Oh well. Some good auctions though, I will keep my eye out.

I like the overall size of the figure. I really like his belt for some reason. Interesting use of bricks for the cape. I can't wait to see Spider-Man.

I like the color usage of the stonework. The fountain is lovely as well. This will be neat to see brick built. I may have to "copy" some of this idea for a village of my own.

Very thorough and comical review. Nicely done. I have this and the Toy Shop but will have to wait until Christmas to open/build them, so I can't say I prefer one over the other. But I have always preferred the look of the Toy Shop more (love that tree), but I am liking this tree cart very much. I think the series looks great together. Lego keep 'em coming!

I like the statues and the central detailing with the tiles. Brilliant work.

I am in awe. The usage of color complements each other well. The overall build is fantastic and very impressive.

If you are a purist, then this won't work, but I saw from another source that using a yellow sharpie permanent marker will almost match the standard yellow perfectly. But you have to be willing to "paint." I have made a yellow Jack Sparrow doing that and plan on doing other common flesh figures to see how it looks. I have a dozen Sparrows so if it messed up it wouldn't have been missed. Anyway, just a thought.

The Pearl has been in my local Walmarts/Targets for about a week as well. And I live in Nebraska, the middle of the country with very little major metropolitan areas around, so odd that some major cities still aren't seeing them.

I like the rockwork especially. But the window set up is very nice as well. Good build.

Good review. I do like seeing the ship "up close" instead of just pictures. It definitely looks better to me now than in all of the preliminary photos. I do intend to get one eventually, but it will need some serious modding in places.

Update to my previous post: I was mistaken when I thought I had Renegade Runner and early Imperial Flagship. I do not have those, but am in the process of purchasing pieces for the early Imperial Flagship and Skull's Eye Schooner. I also have added Queen Anne's Revenge and Black Pearl to the list.

I agree, I never even considered doing this. I guess this is where one "thinks outside the box." I was never good at doing that hah. But I can imagine the new color combinations would be neat depending on the MOC. A white bottom with a different upper would be quite enticing.

I originally assumed it was a lion head, but after looking at more closely, I can easily picture the fleur de lis with grapes pattern. Plus you add in the color he is wearing and you associate him with the Lion kingdom. I find it hard to see a dragon head in that patter, but I guess that is why so many people can see different shapes in clouds/Rorschach tests. I do agree it can add some play value though if you believe it to resemble something else. But I would also prefer for his noble robes to be a different color than the main kingdom if he isn't associated with them.

I can understand wanting older factions to return to better build up older armies at a much cheaper price, especially with new sets! However, that does lose some of the nostalgia associated with earlier factions. I looooved the Crusaders, Black Knights, and Black Knights when they first came out 20 years ago, not to forget the Forestmen and Wolfpack. But as much as I loved them, I'd hate to see them return and lose out on that original feeling I have with them. Plus, if they were reintroduced (much like the new Black Falcon knight) they will look great in their own right with the updated design, but won't necessarily mesh well with the older/original group. The only thing I could consider is keeping the colors the same and making some of the armor more elaborate to create tiers of soldier ranking amongst the older factions while still being true to the original design. But in doing so, that takes away the whole purpose of updating the new soldiers. I've heard how upset some people are with the new Black Falcon knight and how it is a homage to days past while showing some new design. I personally love the new Falcon design, I just don't know how well it will go with older versions. Same goes for any of the other sets. Just look at the original Forestmen, then the Dark Forest figures, then the Collectible Minifigure design. I didn't mind the Dark Forest update, but I did not care for the most updated CMF design which is what I would worry would happen with future factions. I'm sure plenty of other people disagree with me regarding that design because a lot of people didn't like Dark Forest. I think some of it has to do with what age you were when you first started playing with those figures to get a more sentimental feeling when you see certain figures. So I am torn on whether or not I would want more to appear. This post got really long really fast.

Or if you wanted a more classic feel, do a Harvey MOC. But that isn't as well known or as dark as Donnie Darko. Wait a minute..now we have the rabbit suit and we have a Jake Gyllenhaal look alike Dastan piece. Weird. They were planning something. I want at least 10 of this series, which is more than I've wanted out of any of the series. I was super excited for series 5 when it came out, got those in a hurry, then saw pictures of series 6, super pumped! But now that these are out already I've already forgotten about series 6. In my eyes, they released the picture too soon. But I can see the business side of it and wanting to get more people interested earlier. The problem is we will be waiting until May? someone said, which is still 7 months away.

This looks like the best series yet. I was excited about a few of the series 6, but definitely more intrigued with these. Little Red Riding Hood and the Bagpiper are my favorites, but I want to collect so many more.

I have multiple sets waiting come Christmas time, so I won't even know if I need to talk to customer service for another few months. I'm sure they will still be able to help, they might find it odd since they corrected the issue and would still be receiving phone calls, they might think it is a scam!

I wouldn't expect a larger dragon castle other than the tower. I didn't know about the Skellie tower in Fantasy Era, but that makes sense that the new series would follow suit. But I wouldn't expect them to have anything larger in general since they are the opposing force to the good guys, and we all know the good guys get the best things in life. They would've been smart to make the Dragon tower and the dragon prison compatible, and then have another set come out that could connect also to make it a larger castle, but with multiple sets similar to the first Hogwarts castle.

Clever usage of pieces.

Great collection. I can't wait to have mine set up, granted I still need to get the Post Office. But they look great together. I've already been dreaming of Christmas and humming carols. My wife is going crazy.
