  1. When Harry Met Sally is a brilliant title alone, let alone the subject matter. And I like When Hippies Collide. Brilliant. Some great funnies all around!
  2. The cabin itself is brilliant! I would totally steal this idea. The pine trees are great. I would never have considered that. The placement of the "snow" on the roof works wonders. I really like the antlers too. All around a great scene. I will be checking back to look at it some more. Keep up the great work!
  3. I like the first one the most, but some details do get lost in black. I would love to see this driving around my city. Keep up the good work!
  4. I really like the idea. The use of Lotso is brilliant. I love the sliding doors up front and the green spiral staircase. I understand the use of the microfigs, but I don't love the aesthetic. I love the interior and the toys involved. I hadn't considered the use of microfigs as dolls or something. And the Toys sign is brilliant. I may have to borrow that sometime! Keep up the great work. I can't wait to see more.
  5. Great build. It fits right in with the official line. I could easily see it on any downtown street scene. I think it fits well as a town-home. I want the official set, but it is a bit steep (as a lot of great sets are). But I wouldn't mind modifying it to comply in this nature. Keep up the great work!
  6. Awe inspiring/Jaw dropping. Words cannot describe the awesomeness. I don't think I've ever seen something of that nature built in LEGO brick. Shows how versatile they really are. Great job on the angle and structure. If I lived closer, I would totally check it out.
  7. I love the roof balcony/patio area. I like the idea of using yellow in a MOC. You don't see it too often and it works quite well with the white. I think maybe adding in another color may help offset the brightness. I like using some red with the windows, but maybe some other window/door frame colors would offset the grouping of white. I really appreciate the awning variation/color usage. I think that really breaks it up while adding something to the MOC. Keep up the good work. I can't wait to see more.
  8. Thanks for showing us. It is a very detailed and large build! My favorite part is the roofing with the corner angled area. How was that done? My least favorite part is the varied use of color. It doesn't seem to mesh well together and seems to really stand out, which maybe is what you were going for. I don't think I've seen the original creation either. But keep up the good work! Can't wait to see more.
  9. I loved G.I. Joe growing up. I'd love to see official figures (never will happen), even though TMNT exists now, so who knows. It's great seeing these figures and vehicles in LEGO form. Makes me feel nostalgic. Have you seen this. There are a lot of great custom G.I. Joe figures here.
  10. The mosaic is brilliant. Very impressive. Looks great with loose bricks. Thanks for the picture. The dollhouse looks great too. I'm sure the interior will be beautiful to complement.
  11. I recall seeing someone's MOC that had yellow and some accent colors and it actually looked awesome. The yellow isn't always bad. Keep that in mind. Now that MOC above is way too much yellow, but I've seen it done nicely. I can't wait to see pictures.
  12. I am really disappointed in the Tumbler more so than the Bat, but the figures make up for it. The Bugle same thing. The building is okay, but the figures make up for it. I hope LEGO doesn't get into that groove too much, because I want both. A good build with a good figure line up. I'll end up getting both of them, but mostly for the figures because the aftermarket prices are too expensive. The Bat is pretty decent because I'll swap out the blue. The Tumbler will have to be something I try to MOC from these other great MOCs. I'm glad there are finally pictures though. Maybe I'll just stick with Hobbit sets this winter.
  13. I was skeptical at first. Now that I see the pictures I think I may have to pass. I'm not too set on the turtle look, mostly their face prints I think. The head mold works well. I love Shredder and the foot soldier. I'm iffy on Splinter. And Krang looks okay, but I'd expect a much larger Hagrid or larger sized figure. But this opens up more money for other themes, so thank you TLG.
  14. Thanks for the update. I've never seen, heard, or considered this connection. I may have to try it if I ever need studs exposed on both sides.
  15. I agree completely. The quality has changed over the last few years. The more LEGO I've purchased the more I've come across the issues. Sure, I haven't spent as much as some people, but I know spending 2-3000$ a year on LEGO will cover a lot of variety and notice a lot of the quality issues. I have considered not buying also, but losing one or two customers isn't going to change anything and there will never be a time when enough people do quit buying it to make a difference. They are netting multiple tens of millions or billions? in profit each year, so what do they care if the product still sells well.
  16. I had a combination of roofless or backless buildings in my town, just for easier access. I never considered roof pieces really. Most often I just had flat roofed homes with open back. This is a really neat idea for a motel. You seemed to hit all the main spots of what a motel would include. Keep up the good work!
  17. I don't know much about Steampunk, but from what I can tell, this would fit in nicely! I just went to a Steampunk themed costume party, so I am understanding it a bit more. But this thing is beautiful! At first I had no idea about the curves up top, until I realized the upside down ship hull (perfection!). The ship itself is beautiful, but I really like the black/white photo at the start. Looks superb. And the exposed studs on the side is absolutely brilliant. Keep up the good work. I think I've always been impressed with your builds.
  18. It all depends on the purpose. I personally do both. I buy the sets because I do like the minifigures (and the cost of minifigures is basically the price of the set, plus you get the pieces). But I also buy individual pieces if I don't have enough in my supply for my needs. Sometimes it does depend on price. Some sets have a great parts pack and buying a few of them might be easier than just buying one piece multiple times on Bricklink. But since I love collecting figures, it is almost silly not to buy the set due to cost. Space isn't really an issue at my house since I have a whole unused basement that can be LEGO-fied if I desire.
  19. I haven't seen The Avengers yet either and I'm a huge Comics fan. Isn't that funny? I should probably rent that, huh? As for me, the last movie (if you can call it that) I watched was the last installment of Family Guy "It's a Trap!" Star Wars parody. I thought seeing Family Guy characters in SW form is neat, the last installment wasn't as funny as the first two. Which I guess was to be expected. Hopefully I'll watch a good movie soon! I need my fix.
  20. Those are spot on. I only played the first game, but I did beat it 100% within a few weeks of non-stop play. I'd love to have LEGO figures with this franchise and custom will be the only way to go. I may have to look into applying those decals, or if your printing ever works out, getting one that way. Keep up the great work. I am very impressed with what you have done so far!
  21. Neat little scene. I haven't seen the movie in a long time, so this escapes me. But I'm sure you did a good job with the background. The custom figures look really neat. I like the Licensed flesh tones for the Licensed figures, but seeing a yellow Ki-adi is neat. I made some of my POTC figures yellow with a yellow sharpie and it looks spot on compared to the rest. Keep up the good work.
  22. One word: Ridiculous! Good luck!
  23. That is brilliant. Looks spot-on. The color scheme works well and the shape of the roof is fitting. I really like the top of the tower with the white detailing. All of your effort definitely paid off. Keep up the good work.
  24. Very neat addition. The dark blue/tan/light bley combo works great. I almost did something similar for my Modular Madness entry, but I didn't have enough dark blue, so I used dark red. I still want to build a Modular in dark blue though. I like the little outdoor area in the heart of the city. I considered doing something similar to my own. Keep up the good work! I will be interested to see more.
  25. This is a neat train, but I doubt I will get it. I just missed the Emerald Night and with aftermarket values where they are, I will never have that. But I don't think I would have as much use for this one. But it does look nice. I know very little about trains, so I guess it didn't occur to me about having to buy two to get a normal looking train. Have fun with your builds everyone.
