I don't know what the Futuron print update means, and I'm not opposed to updating it in general, but I think the belt is dorky. There is no belt buckle, no pouches, no justification for the existence of the belt, but they decided to add belt loops. WTF? And it covers up one corner of the green triangle which is bad aesthetically. I don't get it.

That's an updated Futuron torso print. Belt loops, bigger zipper pull. Hmm.

How do the legs attach to the helmets?

Perfect setting for an 80's action/comedy anime.

Definitely looks like Futuron. I though this was a funny comment from another thread:

Wow, I like the drop pod.
-
Pretty sure this is just the Exo-suit guy. If it's an actual Futuron chest, that would be awesome.
-
Damn, just read the whole thread. I'm super jealous of those trans green and trans neon round shields!

I sincerely hope there will be some sci-fi Lego news to talk about this year!

EDIT: Nevermind figured it out.

Predictions for Collectable Minifigures Series 14
danth replied to Cy_Bored1337's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'm hoping for something like a Galactic Commander: An update on the classic space suit in either red or blue with epaulettes and a cape. Maybe throw in an uncracked version of Benny's helmet with a visor. -
Dat Snowcat...

I agree with deraven that the new container is great! My favorite part.

You know what Classic sets I'd like to see? Classic SPACE.

REVIEW: 71008 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 13
danth replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'm a bit bummed by the Space Trooper. The same helmet and as the last one, but a less exciting armor piece, no torso printing, and no Classic Space printing.- 104 replies

Yep, it's very large and flat.

Ice Planet was amazing. It would be a shame if they changed the color scheme though. It was perfect! For me the answer is anything space. Classic space, Blacktron, or Magnetron. Just don't touch the color schemes! An all new space theme would be great too.

Yeah, that was my first thought as well, and it's understandable. But I still don't like it! I prefer the strong, vibrant colors of the past, at least for space sets. I went through the 2015 sets on Brickset and it looks like there is one dark blue canopy and a few more red ones. Although I'm not sure about the blue one; is that actually light blue? I really wish the Batman sets had yellow windscreens -- that would make them basically Blacktron sets as far as I would be concerned. There was one Batman car that had an orange windscreen...

It sure is hard to come by a yellow or dark green or dark blue canopy these days. There are a ton of canopies in clear, light blue, or trans black. There are even a few in light green, but really nothing in old space colors. Other than in Benny's spaceship of course. I guess we got a lot of dark blue canopies in Space Police 3. But I'd kill for this piece or this piece in yellow.

That's what good greebling looks like. :D

Nice! How I wish Lego would make sets like this.

This is awesome. Not sure what I prefer to imagine: billions of miles of space-track connecting planets, or some sort of quantum construction of track immediately in front of the train as it travels.

I like how the long pokey pieces (which I shall call X-Wing guns) look perfect as directional thrusters. Kind of like the classic space retro-rockets, but these can thrust up and down instead of forward and backwards. Also being further out from the hull gives them more leverage for when the craft needs to spin.

Boy, do I hear you there. Space always had colored canopies. This clear stuff is just weird. Or even worse they could use transparent orange like in Mars Mission. Orange is just not a heroic color, in my opinion.
