  1. Honestly I think thats better. The ball joint suspension is never satisfactory to me, it takes lots of space, isn't fully realistic, and the suspension doesn't really operate that smoothly. At least on the ford raptor, that is. 9398 was okay. I think if they're gonna do it in an unrealistic way, why not at least make sure it works well? Of course, this is all assuming that the pendular suspension functions properly...
  2. 6L perpendicular link in the back, hopefully its a cheap set and those links can become more widely available. It looks like it will have linked pendular suspension.
  3. Making it seem more premium... by increasing the price?? That's the first thing that comes to mind for me. I won't be buying it, that's for sure.
  4. I think its AWD! This set is actually starting to look like a winner to me. AWD, functions, wheel covers... its a perfect base for modding, I'm actually excited for this one. Printed wheel arches and non matching sticker colors is unfortunate but acceptable, maybe it can be recoloured.
  5. It looks good, change my mind. Those headlighty triangle bits will fall off, which I am not a fan of for RC sets. I think the choice of color is poor for a lamborghini though.
  6. The PF ports provide power on all 4 pins which the servo requires. The adaptor only provides power on the middle 2 pins.
  7. Aha- it really is a beast of a machine with a lot to learn from. Two motors on one port should just mean each motor gets half the power from my experience... is your buwizz pretty new? Mine are from 2019 or earlier I think. Anyway, cool project, I hope you get something you're happy with at the end of it.
  8. That chassis looks awfully familiar... Will you run it on 1 or 2 buwizz units? I only see 1 in the photo, and 1 will struggle a lot to power 4 L motors. I built the Greyhound using 2 buwizz 2.0s (admittedly mine are old now) and it was really lacking in power. Maybe you could use the new really hard springs like from the daytona, mclaren, peugeot, etc.
  9. We could probably make a reasonably accurate estimate based on the repeated subassemblies and such. If anyone knew the part count (I havent read the whole thread) that would help too. As for the metal frame, I'm sure with enough budget anything is possible- maybe a whole metal dinosaur! Where would you put it...
  10. I've noticed a similar thing. Using a samsung a53 5g the range and latency with buwizz units is terribld, but using a newer s23 fe the range and responsiveness is much better. Also, you're not realllyyy meant to resurrect old posts that haven't had any activity in 6 years.
  11. Looks even more promising though, if just the tolerances are wrong then soon it should be easy to get working. How is the experience printing nylon? Or are you just using PLA for prototyping at the moment?
  12. For supporting gears in my brushless models I use 2 of a custom part with 4 of those 5x8x.25 bearings per piece. I find it works really well, I never had any issues with it. Here's a link to the bearings I'm using. They come in lots of 10 and I must have about 70 of them now... https://bricksafe.com/files/Aurorasaurus/brushless/gear support block.stl
  13. @killerfrost Is there any reason for using 10x5x4 bearings instead of 5x8x2.5 bearings? I have been able to get 5x8x2.5 bearings in packs of 10 on aliexpress for shockingly low prices, and they work perfectly.
  14. For some reason I have 8 of the fenders from 42110 and a tonne of olive green 5m beams. Its funny how these things happen...
  15. Interesting, I didnt know the white one was rare but now that I've tried to look for it a little bit online it is. Thats really odd. Thanks for sharing that :) Also, thank you for using more punctuation recently, it really helps me read your posts.
  16. Yes it does, in the white jesko in the same place as the gray one. https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=2457&idColor=1#T=S&C=1&O={"color":1,"iconly":0}
  17. I think on the front nose area you could replace the 2 white #3 connectors with the panel with that same curve (like the front of the jesko has in the middle) unless you prefer that look it has currently. I like the A pillars.
  18. As usual with these bigger sets it has the optional motorisation. I wonder if it will work properly for once. I like the look of this one though, the flex axle on the front headlight is satisfying to me.
  19. We already know this is dark azure, the part inventory is out somewhere.
  20. Yay- my favorite set! Maybe I'll build this one and motorize it... Yeah- dark azure has been in use for a long time and still isn't available on all parts. But on the other hand, regular blue has been around since the beginning of Lego. Dark azure is a good match for that rapid blue, though.
  21. https://www.zenebricks.com/products/high-performance-rc-brushless-esc-accessories-for-motorized-lego It seems like it comes from zene.
  22. https://m.traxxas.com/products/models/electric/x-maxx-ultimate On a more serious note, I'm aware of carbon fibre axles, have you tried those? I doubt that anything thats the roughly 5mm thick thats required for lego compatibility will be able to take the load you're putting on it.
  23. I saw this on rebrickable today, its quite clever! But to me, the back braces from the top of the cab down to the bed feel slightly too long. Other than that I like it a lot.
  24. I'm curious how come you want to use a buggy motor rather than an XL motor, is the form factor whats important? Or the power density?
